          • Looking at the UK’s most-streamed Christmas songs (based on Official Charts Company data), the Top 3 is the holy trinity of classics: Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You lands at the top of the tree with 180 million streams to date, followed by Wham’s Last Christmas (158m) and Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues ft. Kirsty MacColl (125m). All three are usually the first to return to the Official Chart each December, often competing for spots in the Christmas Chart Top 10.

                      • UK sales

“Leading the charge is Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You. With consumption (like most others) more than doubling week-on-week to 36,251 sales it matches its original 1994 peak of No.2 for the fourth year in a row and is a Top 10 hit for the seventh time overall.

All are charting despite the theoretical handicap of permanent ACR status, their individual streams converting to a value half those of newly released hits. Without this restriction, Christmas hits would occupy every one of positions 1-7 with All I Want For Christmas Is You sitting at the top by some distance.”

                        Ariana at #1 sold38,394.
As expected, confirmed it would be #1 this week again and with a big margin if it wasn’t for ACR...

It will eventually get there... And most likely this year, given how things are going. Xmas started early and due to the pandemic, people's interest in Christmas music is up 1000%. Patience!

I was actually thinking the same thing.

I was going to ask if all her new versions will cannibalise her existing output in terms of chart points.

This is the biggest promo this year, and the soundtrack has new versions of AIWFCIY and O Holy Night.

O Holy Night already has points split between 3 different versions, including the video.

Maybe this video, being under Sony (I think) could have its points attributed to the Merry Christmas version?
