❄ Mariah's Massive Merriest Milestones ❄
❄ 2 early: Coming in at #2 on the Hot 100, this is the first time AIWFCIY has landed in the runner up spot, and in doing so this week achieves the highest position it has charted this early in the season, besting last year's #3 for the same week.
❄ Happy 21st!: AIWFCIY breaks a three way tie and moves into outright 3rd place for most weeks in the top 20 among Mariah songs. Its 21 weeks push it ahead of ABMB and Hero. And it's hot on the heels of another iconic song.
❄ It's an 11 out of 10: Notching its 11th week in the top 10, AIWFCIY matches the tallies of Can't Let Go and I Know What You Want. These three songs are truly a 10/10 - they are all in equal 10th place for most weeks in the top 10 among Mariah songs.
❄ Hear those sleigh bells ringing: Another big week on the airplay chart as AIWFCIY lands its highest chart position this early in the season, again. Its #27 on Radio Songs surpasses the #32 spot it landed at in both 2019 and 2018 in the corresponding weeks.
❄ I-Stream flavour of the month: AIWFCIY flies to #1 on Streaming Songs, its 6th week at the top, and in doing so matches its efforts in 2019 when it hit #1 in the corresponding week for the first time that season. This is the third separate chart run/season where AIWFCIY has hit #1 on Streaming Songs.
❄ Cloud 9: Sitting at #9 on Digital Song Sales this week, AIWFCIY matches its position from the corresponding week in 2018, and is one ahead of its position from last year. Last year however saw it jump to #1 the following week - a feat it's unlikely to match this year. Another Mariah song may just claim that #1 spot.
❄ Good company: Merry Christmas matches Emotion's 34 weeks in the top 40, and Butterfly's 21 weeks in the top 20.
❄ Countdown?: Its 21st week in the top 20 gives Merry Christmas a very unusual tally - it's Mariah's 3rd longest charting in the top 200, 4th longest in the top 100, 5th longest in the top 40, and 6th longest in the top 20.Last edited by InfoFromAus; Thu December 10, 2020, 13:20.MESMARIAHSING!

The removal of streams from user generated content rule may be impacting AIWFCIY the most given how much it goes viral around this time. Last year, Sony claimed those streams and that placed a lot of distance between the song and others.
One may argue that UGC may now be impacting AIWFCIY's performance if people are still looking at those uploads more than the official channels. You may see how that could therefore lead to someone like Brenda Lee seemingly having a closer stream number if individuals aren't uploading UGC as much as Mariah.

Very similar streaming numbers from 2019, from stevyy's post last year.
The streams grew massively from 2018 to 2019, and there hasn't been the same growth this year but it's good to see it held on.

does this mean, all the soundtrack sales (Mariah's magical Christmas Special), are included in this number?

Merry Christmas is at #4 Canadian midweeks, could match or outdo its' peak in Canada!

I wonder if they did what they suggested and gave the streams of the soundtrack to Merry Christmas.
Its sales are not too bad either. Would it achieve 40,000 pure sales this season?
I am surprised though that Nat King Cole seems to have more SEA and TEA than Merry Christmas.MESMARIAHSING!

Soundtrack sales will be counted separately. HITS made a mistake earlier.
