idk, I believe mediatraffic is really underestimating The Fame's sales..

The Fame (not including the separate TFM EP) sold ~11.64M in just US+UK+Japan+Canada+Germany+Australia+France+Brazil. Those countries were only ~72.05% of the album market.

It doesn't make sense that The Fame sold so little (2.36M, according to mediatraffic) in the remaining 28% of the market, considering how global it was; it was equally huge everywhere else

For The Remix I just used MJDangerous' old 2010 estimate

Mediatraffic reported Born This Way at 6.3M in December 2014, and The Fame + Monster at 13.7M earlier in 2014. 15M is probably the figure with The Fame Monster EP (US/CAN) : everything combined gives about 15.5M or 15.7M copies.

And considering that The Remix has sold 850k through the US, UK, France, Japan, Spain, Canada and Belgium, I'd would estimate about 1M copies sold.

But it also capped off a six-month period of reinvention, in the wake of Artpop's commercial disappointment (the album has sold 744,000 copies to date, compared with 4.6 million for 2008's The Fame and 2.3 million for 2011's Born This Way, according to Nielsen Music).

Yeah I definitely think she's undercertified for some. For example Just Dance was nearly as big as Poker Face (#12 on the decade-end chart, Poker Face was #4), surely Just Dance must have sold more than only half of PF

MJDangerous estimated 575k for TF+TFM back in 2010 so either he overestimated or TF/TFM is undercertified. His estimates are reliable usually so I think it's the latter

Australian sales figures are so elusive

TF and TFM are definitely undercertified, both are 3x platinum, so i posted their certifications together

and JD was definitely bigger than just '3x'platinum

But then again, she's almost everywhere undercertified

FIMI launched their certification database in September 2010, that's why i wrote 4 years in the Rihanna thread but technically it's not accurate...because you can read in the FIMI website that certifications were official since 1st January 2009, so it's 6 years now!

Lady Gaga career is basically 95% covered in the period, as in Italy she exploded with "Poker Face" in the first months of 2009! However i did notice that many songs and albums from 2009 are not certified at all...so maybe 2009 being the first year they were still testing the methodology.

Well Poker Face and Paparazzi were the only singles that charted in the FIMI top 20 (#2 and #3)
Just Dance and LoveGame probably just didn't sell enough to be eligible to a Gold certification

It's Gold with sales and streaming of the last 4 years (since certification started). With its original chartrun in 2007-2008 it would be at least Platinum (if not double Platinum)!

If that's the case, every single from TF/TFM would be missing the majority of their sales
