  • Yep...

Not Top 100 on Album Sales (let alone on main Top 100 albums) despite being #14 on downloads speaks volume.
I think it’s about time we all stop paying attention to iTunes positions for good...

Yes the UK loves physical versions. Let's hope that Chromatica gets a good boost when the vinyls are shipped.

This record is based in IFPI units (pure sales until 2013, then SPS), and so really shows that digital sales for other acts are hilariously inflated for multiple songs. Gaga had 3 10M digital sellers by early 2011 (JD, PF, BR), while Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Adele each had none. Their counts over 10M now are:

4: Gaga - Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Shallow (SPS)
3: Adele - Rolling In The Deep, Someone Like You, Hello (SPS)
3: Katy - Firework, Roar (SPS), Dark Horse (SPS)
3: Rihanna - Love The Way You Like (feature), Stay (SPS), Work (SPS)

(There wasn’t an official album chart back then in 2013/2014 so it’s a new entry)

As expected, no re-entry on BB200.
We should see tomorrow where it landed on Album Sales and Dance/Electronic Albums

Billboardcharts tweeted the entries and re-entries of the week... and no Artpop.

that’s sad I was hoping it would re-enter because the fans worked hard and bought on iTunes and streamed maybe had the campaign started at the beginning of the tracking week, it would have made it.

                        • It was probably very close to re-enter, since it sold over 4k in pure sales (#14 in pure sales) according to Alpha Data and to chart you need to move ~5.5k

But I blame her for taking DWUW off the album, with this song the album would have reentered the same way it re-entered after the SB in 2017 when the tracklist was still complete

                          I'm mad

                          • 4k pure sales and it didn’t re-enter.
Damn... it must have missed the BB200 by just 200 or 300 units...

Had the campaign started just 1 day earlier it would have made it.

                            • Isn’t this enough to re-enter the BB200?

In 90% of the weeks of the year, you enter the chart with 5-5.5k, our luck

(let's hope Billboard is hiding its re-entry to announce this in a special way )

Anyway, we'll know the truth in a few hours.

                                      It hasn’t re-entered.
Her Billboard chart history page is already updated and Artpop is still at 29 weeks on BB200.

Yep... it missed the chart with 5.5k units... basically by a bunch of copies. Worst luck ever.

Hopefully Billboard will publish some article about its re-entry on Album Sales or D/E Albums and the big increase in sales this week because of the fans campaign and they post some new total sales/units.

                                        • Sad it wasn't able to re-enter because of few copies but it really shows how irrelevant iTunes is these days except for first week sales maybe. I guess if DWUW wasn't removed it would've been able to chart.

                                              • ^ So Chromatica did more than 5.6k units in that case. It’s sad that it’s always bubbling outside the BB200 why can’t they push a single or something?
