    Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (also known as High Flying Birds) is the upcoming debut solo studio album by English rock musician Noel Gallagher. The album is due to be released on 17 October 2011, and will be the first new studio material released by Gallagher since he left the band Oasis in August 2009.

    On 20 July 2011, "The Death of You and Me" was confirmed as the lead single, scheduled for release on 21 August 2011, with "The Good Rebel" appearing as a b-side.

    The video for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds debut single 'The Death Of You And Me' will be premiered at NoelGallagher.com and Noel's official YouTube channel at 8.21 Monday morning (UK time).

      Noel Gallagher's new single climbs YouTube charts: viral video spotlight

      The video for the new single from former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher has accumulated over 253,000 views in 24 hours, currently making it the tenth most watched video on July 26.
      The video titled "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - The Death of You and Me" debuted on YouTube on July 25 and as of 10:45 GMT July 26 had attracted 253,772 views and was ranked tenth in YouTube's "most watched today" chart.
      "The Death of You and Me" is the first single from Noel Gallagher's new album Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, which will be available on October 17.

      Following the breakup of Oasis, Noel's brother, singer Liam Gallagher also chose to continue his music career by forming the band Beady Eye, which incorporated former bandmates Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock.

        The death of you and me has now already had over 553,000views after 48hours of being available on youtube.

        im thinking this album will have a decent first week in the uk on sales... BDI did 66k i can see this probably doing near to 100k or possibly more!

          and has climbed into #28 on Hmv.co.uk

          and is #2 on Itunes (uk) pre order charts!

            people knows who is the person that made oasis what they are.... noel

            so there are a lot of expectations about him, different for beady eye, who can think that liam can write something like noel can? impossible...

            so i expect sales for noel similar to an oasis album...

              im expecting sales close to 200,000 too I have no idea how well the single will do, if airplay is good and noel does lots of promo im sure it could possibly get to #1 or top 10 atleast
