Sales at this time for the #50 album on that chart were in the 300-350 range. I'd guess total sales at around 5,000 by the end of the year.

The Bon Iver album is in the 2019 db, and sold around 40,000 in 2019.

              • oldbloke In Monday's Country Weekly Billboard had I Hope's download total up to 513k units & 431.1 Million Audio ODS. I thought that you might like BBs update at the end of 2020. I assume BB probably has access to things us commoners don't.

This is the top 100 of albums released before 2019 - as I've said before, the estimates are based on the weekly charts, and it's easily possible particularly with catalog titles for an album to accumulate 50,000+ sales in the year without actually charting.

I don't - the demise of the Billboard sales based genre charts made this impossible along with all the other genre YTD lists.

I saw that - the number I used is from the Billboard/MRC official year end report, here's the link...

I don't know if there was a physical single issued, which may explain the difference

I don't have a catalog song sales listing - since we lost the kworb weekly estimates in December 2019, it's almost impossible to track song sales beyond the published top 50. I guess you could look at sales in previous years to come up with guesstimates for 2020 - Enter Sandman digital sales in 2019 were around 65,000, so it likely sold somewhere in the 50,000-60,000 range last year.

The soundtracks Rocketman and The Dirt didn't chart in 2020 - I'd guess they both sold in the 10,000-15,000 range. The latest Metallica album sold 109,000 and is #66 on the year end list - it did around 128,000 SPS.
