Looking at discogs.com, 'Queensryche' appears to be a 4 track 12" EP which was originally released the previous year before being re-released in 1983. It doesn't appear to have been released in the UK at the time so I assume this is a US import. With a total running time of 17:27 I'm not sure why it is on the Rock Albums chart. Assuming it was an import, perhaps it's due to a high retail price?

Yes, it's definitely an EP and listed as an import (on the 206 label) in Kerrang!

Quite a few imports were making these charts - also Lita Ford and Doc Holliday in the last posted chart.

I've got a copy of the '88 CD re-release of the Queensryche EP.

From the liner notes:

"With the release of our Queensryche EP on compact disc these songs have now completed an audio journey that begun in 1982. Originally envisioned as a demo tape, the project was recorded at a neighbourhood studio during graveyard hours so that we could work our day jobs to pay for it. Thus began its transformation from low budget demo to self released EP to re-release by EMI and now compact disc (which wasn't even a reality back in 1982). We toyed with the idea of remixing the songs but quickly decided to leave it exactly how we recorded it...."

'Kill 'Em All' is probably still my favourite Metallica album - I always felt their later output was a tad overrated (sacrilegious as that may be...)

Just checked the contemporaneous 'Kerrang!' review. It notes the influence of Motorhead (and Venom) but also, interestingly, Ted Nugent! "Metallica are the craziest bunch of bulldozin' Woaargghh-mongers the American Metal Academy has vomited up since the daze of vintage Nuge."
