Several excellent new entries this week

Straight in at the top goes Lizzy's posthumous double live album. 'Life' doesn't get the same love as 'Live And Dangerous' from '78 but it's still a great listen.

'Balls To The Wall', in at 13 on import. is Accept's best album of the '80s methinks, surpassing even the earlier 'Restless And Wild' and the subsequent 'Metal Heart'. Even the token ballad, 'Winter Dreams' is (for once!) excellent...

'Friends Of Hell' is the second of Witchfinder General's Sabbath-soundalike albums and just as good as 'Death Penalty'! Great stuff....

The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome will indeed rebound - but only slightly!

Still, at least it managed to reach #2 on this chart as opposed to only #49 on the national chart (surprising as it was an excellent album that could probably have produced more hit singles....)

Within a year or two, I think, from memory.

The chart compilation methodology was never explained but it clearly changed two or three times over the course of the decade!

Don't remember ever hearing of them either - I can't find anything about them in then contemporary Kerrang! - but just listened to that album and it's pretty good.

Daft band name though - apparently an obscure James Joyce reference!
