Britny Fox! Think I had a couple of their albums, their music wasn't actually too bad but my god did they look bloody terrible, with all that lip gloss, make up, hairspray and gear they used to wear.

Love Fish era Marillion and this must have possibly been their last release before he was punted (or was he punted already) and they got Steve Hogarth in. Never really took to the Hogarth era, as part of what I loved about Marillion were the lyrics of Fish. Had this on a jester shaped picture disc, which I thought was one of the nicest I ever owned had.

Damn down to a 20. I'm never going to beat my record, of how many of the chart I physically owned at 20.

The singles chart actually goes up to a Top 40 in about a year's time....

The album chart was a Top 50 throughout - I'll have to bite the bullet and start posting them when I've finished the singles...

I think by late 89/early 90, I'd branched out a bit and wasn't buying quite so exclusively or so much Hard Rock/Heavy metal etc.

Aye, think your right about Fish being gone by that point, had a look and his last gig seems to have been in July 88 at Fife Aid 2, so I'd imagine he was obviously gone by the point Freaks came out.

The chart seems a bit stale now, especially with it down to a 20, new entries at a minimum and most of the tracks being songs that made the official charts. Even worse, it seems back to stuff that's inclusion is very borderline such as Status Quo and Angry Anderson.

Seeing the Hendrix entry, I'd forgotten all about those silver sleeved "Peel Sessions" albums/EPs, there were tons of them kicking about in the late 80s from various different artists.
