For the first time in the German chart history the Top 100 do not contain physical sales. -
And ITunes? (most of the ITunes Top Hits - aren't charting well)
I think Streaming (rap Songs) is only from People between 14 and ?19,20

pleasenogermanrap : It seems to me that the population has basically divided, so 'people between 14 and [...]20' exclusively consume singles, while 'older' people exclusively consume albums. Other than that, I can't imagine a person of working age seriously listen to Apache 207.Saying that you don't know what to answer? That's fine.

I don't know People who listen to this Music (german rap). In my opinion it isn't Music.
It's not played on the Radio and most of the Songs that are released start in the Top-10 (or 1, 2, 3) (in ITunes-Charts they have low positions) and in the next weeks they drop very fast.
There exists many good Songs, for example "Silbermond - In meiner Erinnerung", "Pink - Hurts 2b human", "Pearl Jam - Dance of the…", "Green Day - for example: Meet me on the Roof" to Mention just a few" that don't Chart into the first 100!! And each "silly" rapsong Charts...
In my opinion at the Moment the (german, austrian) Charts are representing nearly Nothing (excluded 2-3 Songs in the Top20)Comment

I think rap music deserves to do well on the charts once it's present in the mainstream: That's the case with the likes of 'Vermissen', 'Was du Liebe nennst' or the songs from Cro's first album. However, when it comes to most of the songs by Capital Bra, Mero or Samra, they are simply unknown to big parts of the society. Those songs charting high, however, makes the charts very homogenous - and the charts used to represent the Germans' interest in music among all demographics.
I wish we'd return to a chart that represents what 20 to 40 year old people listen to with one or two songs catering to a younger or an older target audience doing well.Saying that you don't know what to answer? That's fine.

Bad week for the most downloaded German song: Radio station Antenne Bayern's charity single "Bayernhymne: Gott mit dir, du Land der Bayern" is only new at no 57. Silbermond's "Machen wir das Beste draus (Home Recordings)" is new at 3 in downloads but only at 100 in the official singles.Comment

Ramon Roselly's "Herzenssache" album is new at no 1 in download albums, but didn't make it to the official top 100. How is that even possible?

So because of Good Friday they decided to have just a 6 day chart week and excluded day 7 when Roman's album was released. Worst case: Roman would have been no 1 instead of Kelly Family's live album. Worst case for next week: Roman will be no 1 just because of his thursday sales and not his regular sales from friday on, so another new friday release (Frei Wild or Nightwish) would have been at no 1.
Is there any rule that allows to change chart weeks in more or less days? Do other countries manage this the same way?Comment

In midweeks it's Nightwish on top, followed by Roman Roselly and Frei Wild at no 3. It's a bit strange that Frei Wild are only at 3, I just hope their record company proves if last Thursday really isn't included. I wonder where Roman would have charted last week if GfK only had done their job right, because everybody is doing home office these days, so it couldn't be that hard to include Thursday sales from home. Roman's CD is already sold out at Amazon, so I guess his Thursday CD sales must have been huge. Maybe this single day would have been enough to put him on top. I'm surprised aswell as I do not follow DSDS at all. But it looks like they managed to create a track the audience likes. The audience might be older and way more interested in Schlager than 10 or 15 years ago but it that's the case they did quite well. Altough the track drops to 31 in the new Midweeks, it sold a huge amount of downloads last week. On Sunday, "Eine Nacht" sold around 8x of what "Blinding Lights" sold according to itunes data. I have not entered the positions from 2020 in my database. At the moment I find the charts so terrible, that I have to force myself to take the time. The German charts are very uninteresting for me and the US and UK charts are getting worse every week. So I concentrate at the moment on the period 1952 - 2000.

Because of public holiday, charts will be released on thursday again (today).
In the comment section on Facebook, someone asked if todays sales/streams will be included in next weeks chart and they said that this will be the case!
Now a few weeks ago, we had the same situation and back then they said:Der heutige Donnerstag zählt für die nächste Woche.
Don't know if they changed the rules or just mixed something up or have no clue...Nächste Woche dann wieder normal, also freitags (mit regulärem Ermittlungszeitraum Freitag bis Donnerstag).
