  • Irish Singles Charts 1969

Previously part of the Irish Singles Charts 1967-1969 thread, that thread had 17 incomplete charts. In this amended and almost complete look at the singles charts from 1969 this figure falls to 1 slightly incomplete chart (week 9).

Contributions in the original thread mainly from Beatlened and CZB.

Missing chart data provided by CianS92.

I'll incorporate any notes from the original thread if they're still relevant.

A note about dates. The original thread used the dates from Spotlight Magazine as they were the chart compilers. Spotlight's cover dates were at least a week ahead of when the magazine hit the streets.

Top 20 charts were also published in the Evening Echo, whose published date was generally 5 days ahead of Spotlight's cover date.
Chart books from Eddie Kelly (the Complete Guide to Ireland's Top Ten Hits) and Larry Gogan (The Larry Gogan Book of Irish Chart Hits) use dates 9 days and 7 days ahead of the Spotlight cover date respectively.

I've listed all of the dates and numbered each chart week, week 1, week 2 etc.

Thanks again to CianS92 for providing chart data which was previously missing.
