Nathan Evans’ Wellerman ft. 220 Kid and Billen Ted is taking on Lil Nas X’s Montero (Call Me By Your Name) for this week’s Number 1 single following the latter’s tight Number 1 debut.
Wellerman is in the lead on today’s First Look but it’s set to be another close race, with the two tracks just 500 chart sales apart after 48 hours.
Riton x Nightcrawlers’ Friday ft. Mufasa & Hypeman stands just another 700 chart sales behind at Number 3, giving the track an opportunity to take the lead over the next few days.
Joel Corry, Raye and David Guetta could earn a place in this week’s Top 5, as BED climbs two places to Number 5. If it holds on it will become Joel’s third Top 5 hit, Raye’s second and David Guetta’s 14th.
Ava Max flies up six with My Head & My Heart, setting course for a new peak at Number 13, and finally, Leave The Door Open by Silk Sonic rises six places to Number 17, potentially landing the Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak project a new peak by Friday’s chart.

The Snuts take on Demi Lovato for Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart
Dry Cleaning, David Bowie and Lil Tjay are also looking to make Top 10 appearances.
By Jack White
The Snuts' debut album W.L. is battling Demi Lovato's seventh studio record Dancing With The Devil... The Art of Starting Over for Number 1 on this week's Official Albums Chart.
On today (April 6)'s post-Bank Holiday Official Chart Update, the Scottish rising stars are leading the pack, racking up the most vinyl and download sales of the week so far.
Should The Snuts hold onto their lead, W.L. will become the first debut album by a Scottish band to top the Official Albums Chart in 14 years. The View were the last to do so in January 2007 with Hats Off to the Buskers.
The Snuts have taken to social media to drum up support for their album; their post features frontman Jack Cochrane photoshopped as William Wallace in Braveheart, with the band saying they are ready to "embark in the biggest fight of our lives."
Just 1,100 sales behind at Number 2 is US powerhouse vocalist Lovato, on track for her highest-charting album to date in the UK with Dancing With The Devil; her previous best was logged in 2019 with Tell Me You Love Me which peaked at Number 5.
Dancing With The Devil... has the most CD sales of the week so far, with four exclusive cover sleeve deluxe editions available exclusively in the UK.
Completing an all-new Top 3 at the halfway mark are South London post-punk outfit Dry Cleaning with their debut album New Long Leg.
The next in a series of David Bowie live albums, David Bowie at The Kit Kat Klub (Live New York 99), opens at 6, while The Fratellis' sixth album Half Drunk Under a Full Moon is at 7 - potentially the Scottish rockers' fourth Top 10 record.
The most-streamed new release of the week so far is Destined 2 Win by US rapper Lil Tjay, currently placed at Number 9.
Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry could claim his 22nd Top 40 album with Live at the Royal Albert Hall 2020 at 12, while Canadian rock group Godspeed You! Black Emperor are on track for a third Top 40 record with G_d's Pee at State's End!.
Finally, amid the UK's coronavirus vaccine rollout, The Vaccines' 2011 debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? has been timely reissued on pink vinyl, and is in line for a Top 40 return at Number 33.

Taylor Swift heading for seventh UK Number 1 album with Fearless (Taylor’s Version)
Plus two DMX albums are on course for this week's Top 10 following his death.
By Jack White
The first of Taylor Swift’s rerecorded studio albums Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is on course for Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
Fearless (Taylor’s Version) has a lead of 11,000 chart sales on today’s Official Chart Update (April 12), with the most paid-for sales and album streams so far this week.
The original 2008 version of Fearless was Taylor’s breakthrough release in the UK, peaking at Number 5, as well as Number 1 on the Official Country Albums Chart.
MORE: Official Top 40 biggest albums of 2021 so far
Should Taylor continue her momentum, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) will become her third UK Number 1 album in the space of just over eight months following her two surprise-released lockdown albums in 2020 Folklore and Evermore. Her previous four Number 1 albums were Red (2012), 1989 (2014), Reputation (2017), and Lover (2019).
A seventh Number 1 album would see Taylor vault into third place among female artists with the most UK chart-topping albums behind Madonna (12) and Kylie Minogue (8).
Following its vinyl release, Ariana Grande’s fourth Number 1 album Positions is on track to return to the Top 40 at 2, while French composer and producer Jean-Michel Jarre is heading for his highest-charting album since 1988 with Amazonia at 4.
MORE: The UK's Official Top 40 biggest songs of 2021 so far
Following his death aged 50 last Friday after suffering a heart attack, two greatest hits collections from US rapper DMX could enter the Top 10 for the first time; The Best Of is at at Number 6, while The Definition of X: The Pick of the Litter is at Number 10.
American hip hop collective Brockhampton are in pursuit of a third Top 20 placement with their sixth album Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine (20), while London indie rock band Flyte are flying towards their first Top 40 album with their second record This Is Really Going To Hurt (25).
Also on the cusp of entering this week’s Top 40 are American rock band Cheap Trick with In Another World at 34, and Bournemouth prog group Big Big Train, with a reissue of their 2009 album The Underfall Yard at 37.
