There are albums figures on Music Week for Wednesday but you need to subscribe to see it and it appears that nobody on UKMix, BuzzJack or Haven is a subscriber (some members are away).

Embarrassingly huge gap between "Bad Habits" and the rest.

Ah. I would have tagged you but I know you don't like that. We have discussed it here in various threads.

16 quid. Does this qualify for the charts? Amazon are listing it as a CD but with the note "(Discless Format)" in the title listing. That would annoy the hell out of me if i was a fan - not having a CD.
Why does she think a CD will be "landfill in two years" but vinyl won't be?

“I DECIDED EARLY ON IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING THIS ALBUM THAT I ALSO WANTED TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENTALLY KIND, FORWARD-THINKING ALTERNATIVE TO THE CD.

I WANTED THIS MUSIC BOX PRODUCT TO BE SIMILAR IN SIZE, SHAPE AND PRICE TO A CD, TO LIVE ALONGSIDE IT IN A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT, BUT BE SOMETHING WHICH STANDS APART — A PLASTIC-FREE BOX THAT CONTAINS LOADS OF EXTRA VISUAL CONTENT, HANDWRITTEN NOTES, EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS, AND A DOWNLOAD CARD.

THIS CARD GETS YOU A HIGH-QUALITY DOWNLOAD OF THE MUSIC, 2 EXCLUSIVE BONUS TRACKS, AND ACCESS TO SOME SPECIAL SURPRISES ALONG THE WAY.

    23 August 2021
Lorde vs. Olivia Rodrigo for Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart

Lorde's highly anticipated Solar Power is taking on Olivia's record-breaking debut Sour.

    By Helen Ainsley
Olivia Rodrigo’s record-breaking debut album Sour is on course to return to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart following its release on vinyl.

The album is leading across physical copies and streams, and if it holds on will claim its fifth total week at the top this Friday.

Close behind however is Lorde’s highly anticipated third studio album Solar Power at Number 2, which leads on digital downloads. Lorde’s previous albums Pure Heroine (2013) and Melodrama (2017) reached Number 4 and 5 respectively on the Official Albums Chart. See all of Lorde's hits on her Official Chart History here.

MORE: The UK's Official Top 40 biggest albums of 2021 so far

Jake Bugg’s fifth studio album Saturday Night, Sunday Morning is currently at Number 3, set to be his fifth Top 10 album, and Brentford’s finest MCs Kurupt FM are also eyeing up a Top 5 debut with their first album The Greatest Hits (Part 1) at Number 4, released alongside their new feature film People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan.

Irish indie-folk band Villagers round off the midweek Top 5 with their sixth studio album Fever Dreams (5), which will be their first Top 10 album in the UK if it holds its place.

More albums eyeing a high chart placing this week include Jane McDonald’s Let The Light In (6), Irish singer, songwriter and musician Orla Gartland’s debut album Woman On The Internet (8), British singer-songwriter Jim Bob’s Who Do We Hate Today (11) and Chrissie Hynde’s Bob Dylan covers album Standing In The Doorway (12).

American rapper and singer Trippie Redd is also set to earn a Top 20 debut with his fourth album Trip At Knight (17).

Happy Mondays frontman Shaun William Ryder’s second solo effort Visits From Future Technology is at Number 23; a re-release of Paul Weller’s 2010 album Wake Up The Nation could send the album back into the Top 40 at 27, and Newton Faulkner’s seventh studio album Interference (Of Light) is at Number 31 midweek.

San Franciscan post-black metal band Deafheaven are currently at Number 34 with Infinite Granite, and finally, Scottish alternative rock band Vistas sit at Number 38 midweek with second album What Were You Hoping To Find?.

OCC reporter has no idea that Villagers has been a solo act for years!

Shaun is just called Shaun Ryder on this release.

I was looking at the Tuesday midweeks when I made my comments about 'Bad Habits' but even so, the new remix hasn't led to any increase in chart sales. Of course it depends on what is happening with the streams of the track as it is only streams that determine whether a track has declined for ACR puposes.

Looks like their plan didn't work then. A maximum of 9 weeks on top unless things change this week (or next).

    16 August 2021
The Killers on track for seventh Number 1 on the UK's Official Albums Chart with Pressure Machine

Jungle and Jade Bird are heading for Top 10 new entries.
    By Jack White
The Killers are on course for their seventh UK Number 1 album with Pressure Machine.

Outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined on today (August 16)’s Official Chart Update, Pressure Machine is in line to continue the Brandon Flowers-fronted group’s impressive track record on the Official Albums Chart, in which all of their studio albums have reached Number 1 in the UK: Hot Fuss (2005); Sam’s Town (2006); Day & Age (2008); Battle Born (2012); Wonderful Wonderful (2017); and Imploding The Mirage (2020).

Three of The Killers’ albums – Hot Fuss, Sam’s Town and Day & Age – have all registered over one million UK chart sales, with the former totalling over two million. See a full rundown of The Killers’ best-selling albums in the UK.
MORE: The UK's Official Top 40 biggest albums of 2021 so far

Electronic collective Jungle are in pursuit of their third successive Top 10 album, and a new Official Chart personal best to boot. New album Loving In Stereo is Number 2 at the midweek mark and set to eclipse the Number 7 peak of their Mercury Prize-nominated self-titled debut from 2014. Loving In Stereo is currently the biggest album of the week on vinyl.

A trio of former chart toppers round out this Top 5 at the halfway point – Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR climbs one place to 3, Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever drops two slots to 4, and last week’s Number 1 We’re All Alone In This Together from Dave falls four positions to 5.
MORE: The Official Top 40 best-selling vinyl releases of 2021 so far

The guest on this week’s episode of Official Charts, Record Store Day and National Album Day livestream The Record Club with Bowers & Wilkins, Jade Bird could clinch a second Top 10 album with Different Kinds of Light (10).

When Facing Things We Turn Away From, the debut solo album from 5 Seconds of Summer’s Luke Hemmings currently occupies Number 24, and finally, Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston could return to the Top 40 for the first time since 2012 at Number 37 following what would have been her 58th birthday and the release of a new documentary.

Just outside tonight’s Official Chart First Look Top 20 lands Elton John and Dua Lipa’s brand new track Cold Heart, a mash-up of Elton classics Rocket Man and Sacrifice remixed by Pnau. The icon surprised holiday makers in Cannes when he popped up in La Guerite beach restaurant for an impromptu performance of the song which opens at Number 24 in this week’s Official Chart race.

After greeting his fellow restaurant guests, Sir Elton spoke over the intro to his song and said: ‘During lockdown I made this single – it came out yesterday – with Dua Lipa. So, I want you all to dance on your table and wave your hands and your handkerchiefs!’
