    Why are they calling Seventh Tree a new entry when it's on the same label? (vinyl reissue) NB: must be because the midweek top 100 wasn't around in 2008.

    It was up a couple of positions to No 35 on Monday's update according to the OCC's site. I don't think they've posted any full Top 100 updates since then but presumably if it had seen significant uplift it would've been mentioned above.

    It’s a fair point, it’s random that so many of the indie acts from the mid-00s who’ve not had a hit in over a decade can still get a #1 album. I did really like them at the time, Our Velocity and Apply Some Pressure were great.

    Maximo Park are still very popular, but admittedly this is a really average week for releases. Having said that, I’ve bought there album and it’s very good, so hopefully it will hang on to the top spot. They have done some very clever marketing this week and shipping out signed CD's for only £5 is always going to be win win (unless you bought the unsigned one of presale for £10).

    I could easily say "who is still buying Maximo Park albums?" I've not like a Lucy single for a while (i still follow her and usually chart her albums) but i've disliked MP for far longer. They are so dull and have been for a long time.
