Thanks for the info, I will update the first post when I get a chance!

Kylie's Can't Get You Out Of My Head was number 2 on the M&M chart, however on the "Nielsen/Fono" chart it was number 1 for many weeks. The Fono chart was quite short-lived but it was more accurate as it was based on computerised audio impressions rather than the M&M chart which was based on playlists. I have only found limited data for the Fono chart so can't list all the number ones from this chart unfortunately.

The Weeknd - Blinding Lights has today reached a record-equalling 16 weeks at number 1. The chart has slowed in the last 3 years, probably as a result of the impact of streaming. Can Blinding Lights get to the magic 17 weeks next week?

                    Most weeks at number 1 (1984 - 2020):

16 - Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean - Hips Don't Lie
                    16 - Ed Sheeran - Perfect
                    16 - The Weeknd - Blinding Lights

                    15 - Maroon 5 - This Love
                    15 - Timbaland featuring OneRepublic - Apologize
15 - Calvin Harris and Sam Smith - Promises

                    14 - Dido - White Flag
                    14 - Rihanna - Diamonds
14 - Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You

13 - Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You
13 - Phil Collins - Another Day In Paradise
13 - Gotye featuring Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know
                    13 - Avicii - Wake Me Up
                    13 - Adele - Hello

The Weeknd is still number 1 with Blinding Lights after an incredible 21 weeks!
It is a great song, and maybe a combination of Covid-19 and streaming is stopping much new music from gaining popularity.
