Can someone please post the "Whitburn R&B 1942-2004" spreadsheet? The link posted in 2015 has expired. Also is there a Whitburn Adult Contemporary or Adult Top 40/Hot AC spreadsheet? Thanks.Last edited by cloudeleven; Sun March 1, 2020, 21:44.

The 21st January 1939 issue of Billboard on American Radio History site is missing the Record Buying Guide
Anybody have a copy or a scan
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bwfxjtsigh...Guide.pdf?dl=0
Link may vanish after 30 days.
I am happy to provide odd pages if no other source appears, but two points. 1) I won't do loads (I have to find each page and download individually) and 2) If it's on American Radio History I defiantly won't do it.http://thechartbook.co.uk - for the latest are best chart book - By Decade!

Billboard 1st October 1938 Songs with most Radio Plugs (Either page 9 or 10)
Both pages missing from ProQuest archive. Scan sometimes shows either the right or left edge of the next page and it's clear from the scan that the issue they have is also missing that page but it's a 'clean' cut, no obvious sing of ripping.

Hi again.
Have you ever researched when the Network Song Census (Radio Plays) and the Sheet Music Leaders started in Billboard. I'm down to guessing it being sometime in 1934 for both. Also when did the Record Label Best Sellers begin, my guess on this one is late 1935. I'm waiting on American Radio History to get all the scans of 1934 (all but 1 missing depending when charts started), 1935 (43 missing), 1936 (19 missing), & 1937 (4 missing) to get all the info, just wondering if you had any idea so I can prepare myself!!
Also, if possible, can you get the scans of Record Buying Guide from 2nd January 1943. The index says they should be on pages 142 & 144.
Thanks as always for your help.Keep the fire burning like the first time feeling

I broke my own rules here... Cos it's a holiday so why not?
Network Song Census
ProQuest allows to download up to 100 pages in a single file, so if (sometimes a big if) the full page exists, then I can get the whole lot. This is a little different and so each page is sometimes not entirely as good quality as the original ones above.
I did a search for the exact text "Network Song Census" in the titles of the pages and the first one they have is 30 Jun 1934. Then they miss a week, an issue, then miss a week, then carry on almost completely. There are 120 pages on ProQuest its that title, so they are all here in two files. The last is Feb 13 1937.

Sheet Music Leaders
These began on 21 Jul 1934 according to again a direct search for that specific text. The search returned 572 results, some of which are not weekly charts and may include random pages. Again, the download does a weird order and does most recent first...
A lot of the later file just shows the index page, so have not included that (Plus they come later in the 1940's, which I know the archive has.

Humm, this is trickier. Only about 6 months have that title and then it goes to a different exact title. For now, here is late 1935 to early 1936
https://www.dropbox.com/s/m9vizazhop...cords.pdf?dl=0
Next is another 48 pages from May 1936 into 1937.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2nh2vawnj5...cords.pdf?dl=0
If you put all that together with what you already have and let me know what dates your missing, I'll go back. The search is great if the article has the exact same title all the way through (such as "Midline LP") but if it changes (This changed form 10 to Ten in the title) then bits get missed. Searching page by page is annoying as well... but then it is designed around a search for words or terms.

Thanks for all that info. This is what I'm missing from 1934-1937.
March 27, 1937, Missing Sheet Music but I don't believe it was published as all pages seem available at American Radio History.
July 31, 1937, 5 Best Sellers (page 89 I think)
October 17, 1936, Ten Best Records (page 75 I think)
November 09, 1935, 10 Best Records (In weekly music notes section usual page number in the 60's)
October 19, 1935, Missing everything (Network Song Census, Sheet Music Leaders & 10 Best Sellers)
August 24, 1935, Missing Network Song Census (Usually about page 10)
February 16, 1935 to April 06, 1935 Inclusive. Missing Network Song Census (Usually about page 10)
February 23, 1935, Missing sheet music leaders as well as NSC
December 08, 1934, Missing SML & NSC
December 01, 1934, Missing NSC
November 10, 1934, Missing SML & NSC
September 29, 1934, Missing SML & NSC
September 08, 1934, Missing SML & NSC
July 07, 1934, Missing SML & NSC (If there)
Similar information for NSC (Most Played on Air) is available in Variety magazine. I went through 1934 and they use same radio stations but the tracking week is slightly different. The only one I couldn't find for 1934 was December 04, 1934. They also start including Sheet Music best sellers, sporadically to start with but then weekly.
Any updates on the above would be appreciated but only when you have time.
Thanks againKeep the fire burning like the first time feeling
