All pages missing from Billboard online

As I have the Whitburn Pop Charts book 1955-1959, I never originally saved the copies that exist in relation to that - but (as a one time thing) here they are. I will NOT usually photograph the book, cos well, it's the book.

Thanks for all that. especially the above. I guess being the 1st Hot 100 an original was going to be a difficult ask but the photo is fantastic.

              Fantastic. Thanks for posting.

          • I realize this is back-tracking a bit, but does anyone have the correct p. 29 from the December 11, 1948 issue? I just noticed that, on all of the copies I can find, the right side of the page is the correct p. 29, but the left side is a copy of the Part IV (Record Retail Sales) charts from p. 27. (I'm thinking p. 29 should have the Part VI charts?) Thanks in advance for checking.

                      • When I was going through the PDF archives, I noted quite a few missing Adult Contemporary charts from the early '60s (particularly 1964 and early 1965). I believe most of these charts were unpublished, as the PDFs for the issues in question are not missing any pages. However, there were two issues that did have missing pages. Before I write those charts off as unpublished, I wanted to double-check to confirm that those missing pages did not contain the charts in question. The issues are:

January 4, 1964 ("Middle-Road Singles") -- pp. 17-18 are missing from both WRH and Google Books; according to the TOC p. 18 is the Hot 100 chart (which I have), so only p. 17 is in question.

March 21, 1964 ("Middle-Road Singles") -- there are two pages missing in the range of pp. 23-29 on both WRH and Google Books; I suspect one of these pages is the Hot 100 chart (which I have), but because there is no TOC for this issue I cannot be certain.

I do have the data for the two above charts, courtesy of Dr. Travel's Excel spreadsheet and Billboard's online chart archives. However, if a printed chart exists, I would like to have that in my collection as well. Any assistance/confirmation would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

I have Joel’s book of the album chart scans from 1965-1969 and this week has the message “Billboard did not publish positions 151-200 for the week of September 16, 1967.” Even Billboard does not appear to have the right positions, as their online archive is missing nine of those positions (153, 154, 182, 184, 192, 193, 195, 196 and 197).

Thanks for this! Great to see another one of the rare Finnish Ilta-Sanomat charts. This time just a top nine, I guess Billboard might have accidentally left out the real #6 ("En koskaan" by Kristina Hautala is listed as having stayed at #6 in the following week's issue). Interesting that Cher had a top ten hit with "Sunny", that didn't happen on the other charts published at the time.

                                  Thanks

I guess Billboard online archive just used the LW position from the magazine and don't have the actual chart

                                  • I have strong reasons to believe that it’s actually the Joel Whitburn archive typing for a lot of the charts pre 1985. Mostly as the titles match exactly his database for large parts.

Do you know if there are more editions in archive of "Billboard-International-Buyer's-Guide"?

Here is the list of some that I consulted.

                                        • I don't know if this is the right thread, but does anybody know where i could find the first all-time Hot 100 chart that Billboard published sometime in the 90s (i.e. which issue was it, and could you link me to it please)? Thank you
