        • Social Media "press" (if you want to call it that) were quite quick to jump on Junior Andre "flying up the itunes charts" but I assume there's no sign of him making the chart this week.

            • Strange to see 2 Queen GH albums in top 20.... I thought it would be like with Whitney's GH, when one was replaced with another because of changing "the source" of streaming points.

It should be like that. Maybe GH will vanish. However The Platinum Collection and Greatest Hits have both been in the charts at the same time. For example https://www.officialcharts.com/chart...-chart-update/ with TPC at #7 and GH at #23. In addition the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack was at number 3.

                          • Is Nerina Pallot's new album "I Don't Know What I'm Doing" seriously nowhere in the top 100? Or is there potential that her store hasn't posted the sales? Either way, I'm sad.

                            • Drake is closing in to get the UK #01 Album but he is still 1750 units behind. Will be a close call on Frday!
His 3 songs on the singles charts being now outside the TOP 5 show that he is really having less streaming support on this album than the previous album.

                                • Foals have been one of the most underrated acts singles-wise over the last decade. They've done better on albums, but still not as enduring as the quality of their compositions and live performances imply. I am rather hoping they can show sometimes that the charts can reflect musical superiority and beat off the repetitive substandard auto-tuned (and yet somehow still flat!) meanderings of Drake. If Harry does it though, so be it.

It´s been Top 5 on both Apple and Spotify this whole tracking week so far. It would still be top 5 even with a more mute itunes performance imo

If it can keep that way will be TOP 5 but the tendency I've seen is for her numbers to drop in iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify. If she releases the video during this week she can garantee the TOP 5 else it will depend on how her streams do during the rest of the week.

I'm not even sure that he's even put out an 'official' second single from 'Harry's House', let alone third. While 'Late Night Talking' is probably regarded by default now as the official follow-up to 'As It Was', as far as I can tell it's still never been made available to stream or buy as a stand-alone single in the UK, or receive any specific promotion as such. It became available with the rest of the album on 20th May and has simply been streamed heavily (and purchased modestly) as an LP track since, as has 'Music For A Sushi Restaurant' and all the other songs on the set. Radio has picked up on these two as alternatives concurrent to 'AIW''s ongoing success, but of course that's probably just down to the fact only those three so far have been official-chart-eligible, as the three most-consumed titles of this artist since the album came out and so giving them a higher profile than the rest.

Just having a very cursory flick through online I couldn't see that a video has been issued yet for 'LNT' either, so even if one takes a single release nowadays as a track that's not necessarily issued separately to audio-stream or download to buy but is given an associated video release to stream, which does sometimes happen (Adele and The Weeknd's notional 'second singles' from their last LPs only seem to actually have received a stand-alone release on video), it doesn't seem to qualify yet even under that measure, and neither does 'MFASR'.

Porcupine Tree leading the way for possible first UK Number 1 album

But can streaming giants Harry Styles and Drake close the gap?
                                                By George Griffiths
Porcupine Tree are currently on course for their first UK Number 1 album of their career this week, with Closure/Continuation.

The eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band, and their first since entering hiatus in 2009, would not only be their first chart-topper, but their first to even reach the Official Albums Chart Top 10. Discover Porcupine Tree’s Official Charts history in full here.

However, while Closure/Continuation has a strong showing on physical sales so far, streaming giants Harry Styles and Drake will offer up a very real challenge for the top spot with Harry’s House (2) and Honestly, Nevermind (3) respectively.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, there could be further new entries on this Friday’s chart from Chris Brown with Breezy (6), American country artist Luke Combs’ Growin’ Up (7), the second studio album from singer Conan Gray, Superache (8), and Eric Clapton’s Nothing But The Blues (10), a collection of 17 previously-unreleased live performances from 1994.

Post-hardcore rockers Alexisonfire are also on track for their first UK Top 40 LP with Otherness (13), while Black Stone Cherry eye up a new entry with live album Live From Royal Albert Hall (23). Californian pop trio MUNA could also secure their first-ever entry on the Official Albums Chart with self-titled third record MUNA (26).
