    By George Griffiths
Mimi Webb is looking to ignite this week’s Official Singles Chart, as her new release House on Fire claims highest new entry midweek. The uptempo break-up bop could debut at Number 6 on Friday, it would be Mimi’s second UK Top 10 single and potentially a new chart peak for the rising star. Last year, her breakout hit Good Without peaked at Number 8.

The cast of Encanto also look set to continue their UK chart dominance next week, with the Top 2 of the chart currently taken up by cuts from the soundtrack. In pole position is We Don’t Talk About Bruno currently on course for a sixth week at the top, while Jessica Darrow’s Surface Pressure could leap to a new peak of Number 2, and The Family Madrigal rises at Number 7.

Belters Only continue their upward climb with Make Me Feel Good featuring Jazzy, the dance track is on its way to a new peak this week (4).

Following a well-received BRITs performance, Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon have released their rocked-up remix of Ed’s former Number 1 single Bad Habits, sending the track all the way back into the First Look Top 10 (9).
MORE: Encanto's soundtrack is biggest-selling album of 2022 so far

Sea Power, White Lies, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Metronomy and Ed Sheeran leading tense five-way fight for Official Albums Chart Number 1

Just 1,000 chart sales separate the Top 5 in our midweek update, with everything still to play for in the run-up to Friday.
      By George Griffiths
Sea Power could be heading for their first Number 1 album with Everything Was Forever, as they lead a very close Top 5 on the Official Albums Chart Update.

Everything Was Forever is the band’s – formerly known as British Sea Power – eighth studio album and first under their new moniker, and is the most physically-purchased album of the week so far. To date the band have racked up five Top 40 albums on the Official Albums Chart. If it does reach the top spot, it would be the first Number 1 for Townsend Music’s recently-launched D2C Plus model.

It’s all to play for however, with Ed Sheeran’s former chart-topper Equals hot on their heels at Number 2, while London rock group White Lies are at Number 3 with their sixth record As I Try Not To Fall Apart, potentially their fourth Top 10 album.

West Yorkshire collective Bad Boy Chiller Crew are set for a Top 5 start with their new mixtape, Disrespectful (4), which is just ahead of Small World (5) by British electronic group Metronomy, which could be their highest charting album to date.
MORE: Encanto soundtrack is 2022's biggest-selling album so far

As things stand, there are just 1,000 chart sales between the Top 5 – and plenty of time for the chart to change shape as the week progresses.

Meanwhile, metalcore outfit Architects are at Number 7 midweek with Live At The Royal Albert Hall, which was recorded on their tour supporting 2021 album For Those That Wish To Exist, their first ever chart-topping LP.

Texas Moon, a collaborative album between genre-fluid musical trio Khruangbin and soul singer Leon Bridges could enter the chart at Number 9, which will be both acts’ second UK Top 10 album if it hangs on.

Outside the Top 10, Tennessee rock band Goodbye June are heading for their first UK Top 40 placing with their third studio album See Where The Night Goes a new entry midweek at Number 11.

At Number 20 midweek is JP Cooper with his much-awaited second record She, and finally, Liverpudlian rockers Echo & The Bunnymen are on course to score their 11th Top 40 album with Songs To Learn And Sing (30) [which is a vinyl reissue, you idiot!].

There's a chance that 'Where re You Now?' could climb to number 1 next week while moving to ACR at the same time (the track should move to DCL-2 on Friday) and then plummeting from the top spot the following week.

"The Joker And The Queen" that even had a remix with "Taylor Swift"... it peaked #02 the previous week as it was released on iTunes as a discounted single since day one. But she was not credit on the Chart published by the Official Charts (meaning her version have had less than 50% of the chart points)... then fell to #12 and it's on #11 this week mid-weeks (meaning it may fall from TOP 20 until the end of the week). She still have a chance to get credited if in any week on the charts the version where she is in gets over 50% of the chart units (but it's unlikely).

Not sure why she credited is on the Mid-weeks posted above as the Official Charts didn't credit her:

BuzzJack credit her and i copy their posts with my own edits. If an act is in brackets it means they should be credited but aren't. There are several acts that i have placed in brackets on the weekly OCC chart threads.
BuzzJack also credited DaBaby on Dua Lipa's Levitating in the mids (though they don't in the weekly chart thread now).

Tears For Fears are heading for their third UK Number 1 album this Friday with The Tipping Point.

The new-wave band have reunited for their first full album of original material since 2005, and it’s now tracking to become their first chart-topper in 33 years.

Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith have previously picked up two Number 1 albums; The Hurting (1983) and The Seeds of Love (1989).

There are a total of four new entries heading for the Top 5 this week, with West London rapper Central Cee set to claim his second UK Top 10 album with second mixtape 23, standing at Number 2 midweek.

Avril Lavigne’s seventh studio album Love Sux is currently at Number 3, which would mark her sixth Top 10 and highest-charting record in the UK since 2007’s chart-topping The Best Damn Thing. Also set for a Top 5 debut is former The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who could scoop his third Top 10 solo album with Fever Dreams Pts 1-4 at 4.

Further acts currently slated to make a Top 10 debut are Australian alt-rockers Gang of Youths with third album Angel in Realtime (6), renowned blues artist Beth Hart’s covers album A Tribute To Led Zeppelin (7), German rockers Scorpions with Rock Believer (8) and Half Man Half Biscuit’s 15th studio album The Voltarol Years (10).

Outside the Top 10, Bristol-based Americana artist Elles Bailey and British indie-rock singer Bakar could also earn their debut Top 40 entries with Shining In The Half Light (11) and Nobody’s Home (14) respectively.

Meanwhile, Marina’s fifth record, 2021’s Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land could re-enter the Top 40 and re-peak at Number 17 following its vinyl release, plus Kanye West’s influential debut LP The College Dropout could lift 20 places to Number 26, following its inclusion in Ye’s new Netflix documentary jeen-yuhs.

And finally, German electronic innovators Tangerine Dream could earn their first UK Top 40 album since 1980 with their mammoth 84th studio album, Raum. [at what position??]

                                            • So judging by this you would assume TFF will debut at
#2. I can’t see how Central Cee can catch up so fast without any physical sales, but he seems to be gaining very quickly.
