Irish Chart Thread 2022

These missing charts are confusing the hell out of me as I'm trying to get the discussion for 2023 up and running at the same time (that should be sorted later on today). I've just been working on the compilation chart part of my spreadsheet which is completely confusing as not only did they miss out the full Top 30 on Christmas week but only the Top 10 was posted on the final chart of the year. From the first chart of the new year I have managed to work out a large chunk of the missing section from that week. The (as full as I can get it) chart for that week now reads as follows:

Another from the missing chart is Taylor Swift - You're On Your Own Kid which has a week unaccounted for. That means that when added to the list of songs which stayed in the Top 100 the week after Christmas we should now have 48 of the songs in the bottom half of the Christmas chart.

When I added in all of the songs you've listed here I still had 4 missing. So I checked the new chart and there are 3 more that aren't mentioned here.

Die for you - The Weeknd
Hide & Seek - Stromzy
One Life - Dermot Kennedy

This means there are 99 in total.

I also believe that the last one is Lavender Haze by Taylor Swift.
This was the highest place track the week before that is not listed and Taylor has only 2 other tracks on the chart.
She had 3 tracks every other week since the album came out and her Christmas hit was definitely not charted that week.
It might become apparent in the next few charts if it reappears.

So there's a bit of work to do to amend the PDF. V1.4 will be up today.

Think it was the 7 and 70 thing that got me confused. I've also just noticed that Players by Coi Leray is on it's second week in the chart so it must also have been in that Christmas chart.

OK! This might sound silly but can someone give the chart runs for Sza - Kill Bill and Dermot Kennedy - One Life? I think I've mixed their positions up somewhere but my head is melted trying to work out where I've gone wrong.

As the last compilation chart data has been provided in this week's chart (or at least 25 of them are now known) I think this is likely to be all that we get. I've compiled the 2022 chart data into a handy pdf. I haven't included the charts themselves as it's better to be safe than sorry. I might have a change of heart and redo it. I'll definitely redo if the missing 3-4 weeks of chart data ever turns up.

In any case I hope this is useful to whoever likes the Irish charts.

I doubt that anyone would ever want to subject themselves again to the excruciating experience of listening to the dreadful Diarmuid O'Brien doing a "very special chart show" last Friday, but here it is anyway:

Apart from a brief read-through of the top ten at one point, there was no coverage of the new official chart, and no mention at all of the Homegrown top twenty - he just played random former number ones and some of his own favourite releases of 2022...

Meanwhile, as a result of the continued absence of many oif the chart positions of the previous week, the complete chart runs of the hits dropping out of the top 100 last week are unfortunately unknown.

NI Hit 40 (Broadcast 01.01.2023)

Another stand-in presenter this week - Deputy Dave! And despite the countless references by Paul Kennedy last week about all the Christmas songs dropping out this week and lots of songs entering the chart there was no new chart. Instead we had the Top 40 of the year (kinda spoilt by PK revealing last week that Harry Styles had the biggest song of the year, As well as the 40 Dave also managed to play 3 of the years other big hits along with the current single from Meghan Trainor, a new one from Taylor Swift and Pointless by Lewis Capaldi

Although the person responsible for the charts part of the IRMA website seems to have returned they still managed to miss out the compilation chart this week so we only have the Top 10 as published on the OCC site. And as expected the missing Christmas charts remain that way and it seems highly unlikely that we'll ever see them as there doesn't seem to be any way of making contact.
