^ Wow! Fantastic numbers! As the show draws to a close, I suspect these numbers will remain strong and may even climb! Britney has 14 shows left - unfortunately, she will miss the million mark in terms of ticket sales. Based on most recent numbers, it looks like she'll finish up with between 910,000-915,000 ticket sales.

This means that Celine remains the ONLY act of the modern Vegas era to have topped the million mark in ticket sales for a single residency (Celine has actually done it twice, with both of her residencies). Celine's first residency had 2,827,423 ticket sales and her second (current) residency has ticket sales of 1,330,365 until June 2017 taking her total Vegas ticket sales to 4,157,788.

Elton came SUPER close with the 989,014 tickets he sold for his first Vegas residency The Red Piano.

Adele’s Been Offered A $20million Las Vegas Residency & We Are SO Here For It

                Yaaaassss.

You don’t need us to tell you Adele is KIND OF a big deal, but the diva herself has been offered her very own Las Vegas residency for the princely sum of $20million!

Yes, Adele with her 15 Grammys can command $500,000 per show as the Wynn Hotel has offered her the 12-months megabucks deal – and if she says yes, we’re totally booking our flights to Vegas to see it.

A source told the Daily Mail, “In the last few years, we have seen massive stars performing on the strip and every major hotel wants to say they have the biggest star as their resident. Caesars Palace had Mariah Carey, Planet Hollywood has Britney Spears and we want Adele. Even at half a million bucks a show we are confident we would make a healthy return.”

And despite Adele having had to cancel some of her mammoth world tour due to vocal chord damage, the promoters aren’t worried about accommodating time off for ill health. The revealed. “Adele is a professional, and knows her own ability. And we are happy to be flexible in negotiations if it's needed in order to bring her on board.”

Adele would be following in the footsteps of the likes of Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Celine Dion – and who wouldn’t say yes to $500k for a few hours performing?!

                http://www.capitalfm.com/artists/adele/ ... 0-million/
$500k would put her on a par with Celine.

It would equate to a 40 show run.

^ I don't think Adele would be interested on doing a residency. She even turned Super Bowl down.

Adele has plenty of more interesting things to do with her life and career right now than settling down in a Vegas Residency. She may do it later in the future, I just don't see it now.

I think it suits her perfectly tbh.

She hates the traveling associated with touring, she's in a "down time" as far as recording goes - keeps the $$$ rolling in.

I know she hates traveling and touring and she even seems quite lazy, so in that sense the concept would suit her, but do you think she'd be down to live in US / Vegas?

Also I think she has very few material under her belt, she may still release another huge album / era and tour before "settling down", so far there isn't one single artist that went to Vegas during their peak, all Celine, Elton, J.Lo, Britney, etc went there long after they had peaked and I think Adele is right now in her "Falling into you" / "Lets talk about love" or "Baby one more time" / "Oops I did it again" eras, she's at the peak of her career, there's more things to explore at the moment.

^ People forget that Celine signed her contract in 2002 - and she was still very much one of the biggest current acts in the world (with the #5 selling album of the year worldwide).

Anyway, no Vegas boxscores in this week's Billboard Boxscores list.

Spears' Las Vegas spectacular closes on Dec. 31, 2017 after four years.

1, 2, “3…” The final countdown is on.

Britney Spears’ Las Vegas residency show, Britney: Piece of Me, will come to a close on Dec. 31, 2017, after four years and 249 performances.

At the time, the show was planned to run for 100 performances over two years. But, Piece of Me proved to be so successful, it was extended on into 2017. Earlier this year, in April, Spears’ final shows at The AXIS were announced, with Spears commenting in a statement that she had “no idea how magical this experience would be… I love Las Vegas and will miss performing this show.”

Lady Gaga announced Tuesday (Dec. 19) that she will begin a two-year special engagement at the 5,300-seat Park Theater in Las Vegas beginning in December 2018.

“It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli," Lady Gaga said in a press release announcing the residency. "It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas. I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before. I’ll tell you exactly what I told my MGM and Park Theater partners - you can count on this performer always for one thing…I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas baby, we did it!”

President of MGM Resorts International Bill Hornbucke added that the announcement is monumental for Lady Gaga fans, MGM Resorts and the Park MGM brand. "We have all been wowed by Lady Gaga’s raw talent, but the passion, commitment and creativity she is prepared to bring to this engagement will truly be transformational…Las Vegas, get ready to become the Entertainment Capital of the Universe.”

The six-time Grammy nominee just wrapped up the North American leg of the Joanne World Tour. Tickets and more information about Lady Gaga's special engagement will be available in the coming months.

Bit shady that she didn't include Celine in that list of names given that Celine is the preeminent act in Vegas since Elvis - however, shan't hold it against her. Celine seriously changed the game with Vegas, so many big names have come since.

                                                          Gaga is perfect for Vegas.

Even more stranger is not mentioning Cher, who's 1 of Gaga's biggest idols, and who was one of earliest performers there since the early 70s, even performing at Caesars at the same time as Sinatra during her late 70s/early 80s residency.

                                                            Either way, good for Gaga!

Not amazing numbers for Cher either.
