Discuss the UK and international charts, sales and airplay updates or make your own predictions.

                • This was the listing of the top 10 album selling artists of the 2010-2019 decade included in Nielsen Music's year-end report
                  Rank Artist Sales
                  1 Adele 23,924,000
                  2 Taylor Swift 22,972,000
                  3 Eminem 13,862,000
                  4 Justin Bieber 12,098,000
                  5 Drake 10,526,000
                  6 Beatles 10,309,000
                  7 Luke Bryan 9,572,000
                  8 Lady Antebellum 9,452,000
                  9 Michael Bublé 9,444,000
                  10 Elvis Presley 9,278,000
However, the number for Drake does not include his collaboration album with Future which sold around 620,000.
Also missing from the top 10, I assume because the collaboration albums with Bradley Cooper/Tony Bennett are not
included is Lady Gaga, who I have at 10.1 million sold.
These are the artists I have with pure album sales of over 5 million in the 2010-2019 decade - let me know if I missed anyone

Not the most reliable source, but Buzzangle has MX at #'s 39 & 41 for the first 2 weeks of 2020 on it's current pop album sales chart which suggests sales are extremely low - probably less than 200 per week - so total pure sales are around 136,000.

                                      • Hey oldbloke, got a few questions for you:

                                        1) I wanted to get an idea of rap album SPS totals for 2018 + 2019, so I combined 2018 SPS - Week 53 and 2019 SPS Week 52. Is that the correct total for both years (Jan 1 - Dec 31), or am I doing something wrong?

                                        2) I am looking for the latest total SPS figures (w/ dates) for these albums:

Rick Ross - Port of Miami 2
                                        Lil Pump - Harverd Dropout
PnB Rock - Trapstar Turn Popstar
Various Artists - XXXTentacion Presents: Members Only Vol. 4
                                        Brockhampton - GINGER - 78,000
Young Jeezy - TM104: The Legend of the Snowman
Boogie Wit da Hoodie - Hoodie SZN
Lil Skies - Life Of A Dark Rose
                                        Kanye West - Ye
Rich The Kid - The World Is Yours
                                        Playboi Carti - Die Lit
                                        6ix9ine - DUMMY BOY
YNW Melly - I Am You

Future & Juice WRLD - World on Drugs
                                        Migos - Culture
Trippie Redd - A Love Letter to You 3
The Carters - Everything Is Love
                                        Logic - Bobby Tarantino II

                                        3) When can we expect the first total SPS update for 2020 ?

                                        As always, much appreciated!

                                          I don't have that info.
However, this site, if you're not familiar with it has some very useful estimates, as of June 2019
                                          https://chartmasters.org/2019/06/kat...d-songs-sales/
With global SPS likely to be over 20m, the US total is going to fall in the 8-9 million range.

                                            Makes sense to me.
However, Billboard's charts/SPS continues to morph

The inclusion of video data into the chart comes five years after on-demand audio streams were added to the tally, when the chart shifted from a pure album sales ranking to a consumption model (Dec. 13, 2014-dated chart). The addition of YouTube and video streams will also impact all of Billboard’s other genre album consumption charts, including Top Country Albums, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Latin Albums and so forth.
I'd guess any cumulatives Billboard quote now would all be based on the new criteria.

seem to have lost kworb's digital sales estimates that covered songs outside the top 50 chart.

Tracking SPS numbers can be very time consuming, because research is required on tracklistings to establish pre-release
TEA/SEA, which for some albums can be substantial, for example "Hollywood's Bleeding" with over 1.1 million. For this
reason I only target the albums likely to make the final top 100/200 year end listing. I also only estimate off-chart SPS
numbers for the albums in the top 100/200. In 2018, the criteria for SPS changed mid-way through the year, and again I
only re-calculated the SPS for the first 6 months for the albums that made the year-end top 100. So, unfortunately I don’t
have the info you were looking for.
