We have a Las Vegas Residencies database - the best such resource on the net - and I wanted to see if we could achieve the same but this time including all live performance grosses to give us the list of the highest grossing live performance acts of all-time.
We'll have an overall list and three separate lists: males, females and groups.
In here, we'll also include a list of the highest-grossing tours of all-time and some record-breaking box-office grosses also.
A lot of the leg work has already been done by our very own @matheusbelmont - so massive thanks to him.
Some of the data looks to be outdated - not massively - therefore, please bear that in mind when casting your comments. My plan is to look into each act individually and where possible, build a database of each act's numbers.
Note - all forms of live performance count towards the totals of each act, be that residencies, tours or collaboration tours. If you have the numbers ready for your favourite acts, please post them to save me some leg work. If you're making estimations, please make sure they are educated - if I like the look of them, I'll include them in the database.
I'll focus on the women first - for clarity, the format will be:
Year / Tour Name / Total Gross / Total Attendance
I might then also do some detail work behind the averages.
