    • Might as well do an Amazon update as the 100 is filled with campaign tracks and it's much easier to track them than trawling the iTunes top 500:

      1 Ben Haenow - Something I Need
Also at 1 on album chart but only a 1-track

4 Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast (Remastered)
7 John Otway - OK Father Christmas (Radio Edit)
EP is at 11 on album chart

8 Bad News - Cashing In On Christmas (2004 Remaster)
      12 LFO - LFO
45 Military Voices - 1914, The Carol Of Christmas
      Also 16 on album chart - 1-track

46 Runnin' Riot - Double The Pain
      ^Song for deceased punk
"Songs simply don't get better than this and so in tribute to our dear departed friend, Colin "Riot" McQuillan we would love to get this into the download charts where it belongs this Xmas. Please download a copy in the week 15 Dec 2014 and tell your friends. Forever Remain! "

54 Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast (Live In Los Angeles)
56 Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott - Real Hope
      ^Anti X Factor "Christmas single"

63 NMP3 - Now's the Time (feat. Miss Baby Sol)
Going up here - also at 3 on album chart but only a 1-track - but nearly off the iTunes 100

65 Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast (Remastered)
84 Bad News - Cashing In On Christmas (Dub)
85 Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast (Maiden England Live Version)
87 Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast (Live At Donington)
92 The Peace Collective - All Together Now (Radio Edit)
      ^and 70 on albums - 1-track

Wealdstone Raider is at 248 on album chart, strangely.

The above track seems to have been widrawn completly from Amazon. I have searched and it's gone!
I suspect it might be the case with iTunes too.

                Anyone know the reason?

                  Maybe there's a copyright issue?

It's returned today, perhaps down to a CD being issued the other day.

Came out on Thursday - must have been unplanned but was made as it exceeded expectations after Radio 2 playlisted it and the likely older audience would like a CD. I hope it can go top 40 if only to offer something else of a festive vibe.

All grat tracks can chart now - this has been the case for a few months - since Taylor Swift's Welcome To New York charted. But they are less likely to as they only include the actual sales of the track and no pre-orders at all. Before it was 50/50.

The OCC chart has never included pre-orders as far as I know. Since they count the actual download and you can't download something on order.
The OCC only allowed the first couple of (nominated by the record company) tracks to chart from an instant grat album that were available for download. As Tony says they now allow the lot from an album.
You can also buy some of the Madonna tracks on other sites without agreeing to buy the album when it comes out.

                                    • They did - it was announced when Bowie's Where Are We Now charted - as long as the pre-orders are not above 50% of the accounted total - they used to cut it off at the 50% mark to make it fair. You could see this in the rules. This was all covered in the weekly chart thread a few weeks ago and Robbie posted the link to the rules. But they've since worked out how to separate those actual sales from pre-order sales. They haven't updated the one grat rule but it has obviously been extended to include any grat as this has happened since the Taylor Swift track was allowed. The Instant Grat IS the pre-order i was talking about! The actual genuine sale version being what they call "a la carte". Now they are all a la carte and the grat parts are not counted which is why they have even less chance of charting than before. But i still refer to them as grats as that's what they are in industry terms unless you call them "album promos".

The version of the track available as an Instant Grat will be combined with an equally prominent a la carte
version, which must be simultaneously available to purchase as a paid for a la carte download

Only one Instant Grat track from an album will be eligible for the singles chart during the pre-order period.
Any subsequent Instant Grat tracks from the same album will be excluded from the Official Singles Chart .
The proportion of Instant Grat tracks should not rise above 50% of total sales/downloads of the track

In the event that the chart compilers identify that sales have risen above 50%, and the title is likely to appear in
the Top 75, then any sales above the 50% threshold will not be eligible for the Official Singles Chart, and will be removed.

As I said the pre-orders did not count since the can't be purchased and downloaded. An album on pre-order had SOME tracks which could be purchased. But the OCC would only allow one of these to chart. The first track from most albums is generally issued as a single and so was freely available to purchase without ordering the album. The OCC would then track the sales of that. If any Instant Grat track goes over 50% of that first single from the album, then all the extra copies were removed and the track effectively caped.

If these rules have now been removed then all instant gratification tracks should chart and clearly they did when One Direction and others charted recently.

In the current iTunes chart is a pre-order from Philip George that however has not charted on the OCC chart, though from it's position in the iTunes chart it would if it was a proper track.

If the Madonna tracks don't chart then the OCC have been told not to include them, like the X-Factor performance tracks, it will be nothing to do with the sales levels, since the current positions of these tracks on iTunes alone should give them a top 75 slot.
UNLESS there being no official single from the Madonna album available to download the OCC are excluding them on that basis!

                                          • An instant grat IS a pre-order - you got it instantly when you pre-ordered. These were able to be counted. I don't mean it's like the Philip George track when you cannot have it yet. You CAN have the pre-order album tracks when you pre-order the album. That's what i meant - we have used the terminologies "instant grat" or "pre-order album tracks" interchangeably. They are the same thing. Obviously a pre-order album wouldn't be counted on a songs chart, would it?

And no, the current positions alone wouldn't necessarily guarantee a top 75 slot - as the positions are partly based on instant grat pre-orders and not totally actual sales. We saw Foo Fighters go top 10 with several grats but hardly any of them made the 100 - they made the Rock charts and some made the top 200 and this was when the rules had changed so it wasn't just streams that charted.
