Welcome to the launch of my weekly top songs chart - "The Report Card"!

After thinking about this for months, and following many of your charts, I decided to share what has been topping my playlists. The Report Card will feature a weekly top 20 (for now) based on my weekly plays and ratings. Along the way, midweek, there will be updates about how the chart is shaping up, analysis and editorials about what to look for.

As with any new thing, there will be kinks, so bear with me as I work this out and figure this into my rhythm.

I hope you'll follow along with me by letting me know your thoughts and most importantly your music suggestions as we all discover new music together. Thanks to RayRay for his encouragement and persistence!

Oh my, I'm very much here for this random, hodgepodge of a list.

Your #1 is cute, though definitely not anywhere in the vicinity of my top Aretha gems. Also, I generally have a strong dislike for gospel music, but "Break Every Chain" is a rare and exceptional...exception.

I was really taken by Shawn's new project! I see it didnt get great critical acclaim but it drew me back to a lot of his work! I think in the future charts some of them will debut, especially his Live projects.
