"Just the Lonely Talking Again" is good, but a bit too plain for my liking. "Who Would Imagine a King" is a beautiful song. I haven't heard Whitney's interpretation in ages. "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful" is saccharine, but I think it's one of her more underrated jewels.

"Joy" is terrific! The pure ecstasy of her vocals on that track is divine. "Hold On, Help Is on the Way" is good.

It's a cliché pick, but "I Will Always Love You". Dolly wrote a beautiful song and Whitney's vocals, the acapella intro, and the rich melodious enhancements really elevate it to the status of the greatest love song of all-time.

                      back to our countdown!

                      90. Joy To The World (with the Georgia Mass Choir)

                      89. I Go To The Rock (with the Georgia Mass Choir)

                      88. There's Music In You
This is Whitney's own A Whole New World. She could make a stage musical out of this one along with the next song in our countdown.

                      87. Impossible/It's Possible (with Brandy)

                      86. If I Told You That (solo version)
If you know this solo version and aware that there is a duet version, then you are a special Whitney fan! Maybe after hearing this one, Whitney thought, meh! it was bad, Lol. So she redid it and made it into a duet. Of course, who could match her vocal prowess to sing it but with another music icon!

                           back to the countdown!

                          85. He's All Over Me (with Shirley Caesar & the Georgia Mass Choir)
Five songs with the Georgia Mass Choir are through. One more to go...Gimme a break!

                          84. Get It Back

                          83. I Bow Out

                          82. I Was Made To Love Him

Whitney remade this Stevie Wonder's original (I Was Made To Love Her) . I made a quick listen to his 1967 version. I must say, it sounds dated now while Whitney's still sounds fresh to this day.

Stevie sings: "I was born in Lil' Rock."

Whitney sings: "I was born in Newark."

                          Hopefully that clears everything up.

                          81. One Of Those Days

For some reason, I have always thought Whitney sounded the MOST ELEGANT and sophistocated on Where Do Broken Hearts Go. Her phrasing and enunciation on the song was just magical.

Whitney's "Joy to the World" cover is good. I love "I Go to the Rock". I like both versions of "I Told You That" actually.

"I Bow Out" is one of Whitney's top lyrical moments. The chorus is fantastic. "One of Those Days" is pretty mellow. For me, it's fine, but nothing special in the grand scheme of her catalogue.

Today is the 2020 American Music Awards!

Did you know that Whitney holds the record for the most awards won in a single year? That's right! She won 8 in 1994. Michael Jackson shares that record winning the same number of trophies in 1984.

                                        80. Never Give Up
If this song was released today, it would have charted for sure, especially in this tough time we are living right now. The message was simple: Never give up...I won't!

                                        79. Love Is A Contact Sport
Super fun song from start to finish! That's all I can say. "You've been avoiding me like a cat trying to dodge a dog." Yeah, sing it Whitney!

                                        78. Take Good Care Of My Heart (with Jermaine Jackson)
Whitney and Jermaine's highest-charting duet and the first song to appear in our countdown off her debut album. Why not? Will you take good care of my heart, my imaginary lover?

                                        77. Someone For Me

                                        76. For The Love Of You
An original by The Isley Brothers, Whitney covered this song for her sophomore album and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Vocal Performance. Did you know that? Well, I didn't!

I think "Love Is a Contact Sport" kicks off at such a frenetic pace that there's no way for it to go really. The second half is definitely a tad weak, but I like the track overall.

I always found her version of Joy to the World to be a bit underwhelming - it lacks a spark for me.

This song is so addictive! I can listen to this over and over again.
I checked its full lyrics on Spotify. And I thought to myself, I want being pampered like that, haha!
