A little surprised how much you love "Battle Born", I thought it was incredibly average and lacked any true standouts like prior Killers albums. The melodies weren't there for me this time. To me its been downhill since "Sam's Town", though I loved Brandon's solo album.

Hall of Fame
Amy Winehouse does it again. The late superstar was just inducted into my Hall of Fame with her song Take The Box which benefits massively from the induction and rises to #1 this week. It's the song's 4th non-consecutive week at the top. Tom Odell bows in at #2, preventing Mariah and consorts to debut even higher with the latest remix of Beautiful. Bad Blood returns to #1 on the albums chart, while Night Visions makes an impressive jump as well. Night Visions has positioned itself now, to become my album of the year. Kanye West drops from 1 to 4 this week, further proving that he really lost AA status.

I'm such a massive fan of the Killers now, that any new album - during their apparent peak in my world - would have smashed hard. I absolutely love Battle Born. It has so many wonderful songs on it like Here with me, Battle Born, Flesh and Bone, A Matter of Time and Be Still. The album was a massive hit on my chart as well, blocking Nelly Furtado for over a month. I like these five songs this week. It looks like "Feel The Love" could potentially pass "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" but I'm guessing that shortly after that happens (if it does happen) that "#Beautiful" will just pass Rudimental and the Songbird Supreme will be...well, supreme.

The Underdog
Tom Odell bet the odds and really made it big this week. The singer-songwriter rises one notch and finds himself in the reigning position of my singles chart, beating hot new songs by Mariah Carey and Frida Gold. Kanye West might get his "I told you so" smile back, as Yeezus - also against all odds - rises this week on the albums chart where it sits comfortably at #2 - only beaten by Frida Gold's new album. Michael Jackson is back in full chart-force as well. The late icon has a top 5 entry on the singles and albums chart - oddly it is his last studio album which got the most attention this week.
