This week marks another one of those weeks in which we have three individual acts leading the major chart categories. On the singles chart Coldplay debut at #1 with their new single Adventure of a Lifetime. Since 2008 all of their lead singles have peaked at #1. On the albums chart Kwabs stays on lock. He even suppressed Mariah from getting another shot at the pole. Mariah takes back the overall artists peak. This marks Carey's 2nd week at #1 on this chart in 2015. MSSA #47 of 2015

The Triple Direction

One Direction complete The Triple today. Leading all 3 component charts (Single, Album, Artist) is something they achieve for the 2nd time now. The first time they reached the tiple summit with their album "Four". Alanis is back with a re-release of her 1995 global best selling album Jagged Little Pill. The previously unreleased "plugged" version of These are the Thoughts debuts at #2 - one of her highest charting singles this decade. She reached #1 last with the song "Receive" from her last studio album. Today marks the day of a very interesting comeback. Take That re-released their former #1 album "III" while Adele released her third studio album "25". As by previous chart performances, Take That are most likely to debut at #1 next week with anything between 200-250 scrobbles. Adele on the other hand underperformed with "21" and only recently Hometown Glory and Hello became chart hits on the MSSA. So, can she top Take That? Since we are talking about records in regards with Adele on any other blog, but this, it should be mentioned that the two biggest debuts ever belong to "The Desired Effect" which debuted with 791 scrobbles. The other one belongs to Florence's album "How Big How Blue How Beautiful" which amassed 651 scrobbles in a 7-day rolling period.

Domination: Domus + Natio

Born to be dominating: British Legend and global charts dominatrix Adele rises, demolishes and obliterates to debut at #1 with 2015's 6th biggest one week scrobbling total. She has never held any #1 position previously, but reigns all three of the major components to complete the TRIPLE. Her lead over her biggest rivals - One Direction - was 2:1 this week. 25 has therefore obtained a Gold-Award certification for 250 scrobbles, a mark she has smashed by 117 plays. Take That return with 3 new tracks and to #3 on the albums chart with III. Christmas is on hold for the week. Next week it seems that Adele will have no competition. But the week after: Coldplay could interrupt her domination, but nobody can say for how long exactly.

Hello was previously blocked by Marco Mengoni's Ti Ho Voluto Bene Veramente. Kings of Leon make a prominent return this week with one of the band's best airplay weeks ever. Looking ahead: next week could see another battle of the greats. Coldplay returned with a new album and so far every album of theirs debuted at #1 (since 2005).
