What a surprising turnout. Mariah's current chart leader #Beautiful has a new and totally unexpected competitor for next week in Don't you worry child by Swedish House Mafia. Towards the end of the weekend both songs shake up the midweek chart. Jahmene Douglas, Imagine Dragons and Rudimental/Emeli Sandé have to step up their game by a notch to not lose touch.
Excellent debut for Mimi. I hope she can hold off the challenge from Swedish House Mafia and retain the top spot next week but I must admit that "#Beautiful" is just slightly above average for me. Strangely enough, I prefer both "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" and "Almost Home". I do not approve of the massive fall for "Over The Love" though.

Nearest rival by Swedish House Mafia featuring John Martin generated 53 spins. Over on the albums chart, Robbie Williams claims back a top 3 position with his #1 album Take The Crown. "Don't You Worry Child" is a great song. It was my jam a few months ago actually. A bit late for James Arthur's debut but nice to see him here anyway and I'm happy that Florence has managed to rebound.

I have yet to get into Beautiful, I still think Almost Home is better.
Mariah Carey and Miguel defend their #1 position this week against Italian superstar and Eurovision participant Marco Mengoni. Mengoni's ESC entry L'Essenziale did not make the top 20 this week. Furthermore, Mengoni is by far the most played artist this week and also becomes the first Italian singer to ever debut on my album's chart top 10. Other ESC entries on my chart come from Norway and Belgium. Germany, however, did not even make the top 50 this week.

Germany, however, did not even make the top 50 this week.
Not that surprising to be honest... We better forget that it even happened !
right, the song was crap.. you could really sing Loreen's lyrics over the melody and you would not hear any differences to her original song..creepy.. that Cascada really won the "Vorentscheid" with it. They are obviously done now. No one survived a bad ESC ranking.
Seeing Florence charting here has reminded me that I'm not playing "Over The Love" enough. Good that Mariah is still reigning and good to see some of JT's best 20/20 tracks charting here. What a drop for "Impossible" and "Don't You Worry Child" though.

I'm not here for that shade for Cascada. Natalie was amazing on stage! She delivered a great performance and the song wasn't really a copy of "Euphoria". Both songs are just from the same genre. I won't forget that it "happened". Personally, I think that it was the best performance of a German entry ever (together with "Taken By A Stranger"). We really deserved a better place!
That said, I'm really surprised to see Marco Mengoni on your chart! - I'm glad to hear that you like his album! I just bought it before the contest and I totally enjoy listenin' to it. My favourites are "L'essenziale (which was my #1 for three weeks)", "Non Passerai", "20 Sigarette" & "Una Parola". Do you like these songs? - His voice is so amazing. I kinda melt away when I listen to him!
Btw, I don't like him singin' English. I think he feels uncomfortable, when he sings his songs in English. On Wednesday (Eurovision week) the Big5 party at the Eurovillage took place and each contestants performed two sings (except of Bonnie :-? ). Marco chose to perform "Put The Light On" and he was lookin' at the lyrics on a music stand all the time during that song
+ It's nice to see "Can't Hold Us" & "I Feed You My Love" debuting!
