Mariah Carey and Miguel continue their reign on my singles chart. The dynamic duo spend their fourth consecutive week at #1, but with a massive spins decrease. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis led the midweek chart up until yesterday evening. Daft Punk are this week's highest entry at #3. Get Lucky is their biggest hit ever on my chart. Over on the albums chart, Michael Jackson had a pretty impressive week.

look at the #4 song this week!!!
several of his songs would land in the #21-#50 range.
*albums can only chart on my albums chart, if i played more than 1 single off it. That is why Daft Punk's album is not allowed to chart because i only played the single.

Excellent chart this week! Delighted to see "Can't Hold Us" make that massive leap to #2 and wonderful debut for "Get Lucky"! "Only If For a Night" is one of Florence's best songs too and great to see some MJ charting as well. "Will You Be There" is one of his best ballads.

British Alternative band Bastille makes one of the biggest debuts ever on my chart. The formerly unknown band which never charted before, complete the Double this week, debuting at #1 on both the singles and albums chart. This is one of the most massive debuts of all times. Pompeii saved a lead of almost 20% from Beautiful to grab the #1 position this week. Several other songs debut as well, giving them one of the highest total charting points ever. I apologize to all the Bastille fans for discovering them so late. The main question is if Bastille can achieve such a stable chartrun as M83 or Imagine Dragons achieved earlier this year (Imagine Dragons are still hot and smashing at #2 this week on the albums chart). On another note, only 4 out of 23 weeks this year, a female artist occupied the #1 position on my albums chart. Males and all male bands have never been more dominant.
"Who could really overtake Mariah Carey? We feel blessed and humbled by our (late) success here. This is our sweetest achievement." (Bastille about the completion of the Double this week).
