Father John Misty has just blessed us all with the release of his third solo studio album "Pure Comedy". The set of alltime evergreens has seriously impacted this week, establishing a new alltime record for the biggest first week scrobbles and second highest weekly total ever recorded. Bowing in at an unprecedented 654 plays, "Pure Comedy" has overtaken Florence + The Machine's "How Big How Blue How Beautiful" by 3 scrobbles. It was a tight race to such heights. Joshua Tillman - aka the holy Father John Misty - has furthermore established another alltime record: Never before has a soloist - male or female - band, group or duo amassed more than 833 scrobbles in a period of just 7 days. The previous record was set by non other than The Beatles. They amassed 806 scrobbles in 2016. Additionally, FJM has done exceptionally well with his solo-catalogue placing all of his 3 albums inside the top 5.
