Rebel Heart

Madonna - as expected - immensely increased on her shortened debut last week and amassed the biggest 7 day scrobbling total of 2015 with Rebel Heart. The set of 25 magnificent songs is led this week by Best Night which debuts straight in the top 3. This week marks the first charting week in the history of my chart, that Madonna owns half of the top 10 singles entries. Unfortunately, the Double is yet an achievement, she falls short on as Imagine Dragons still hold the #1 spot with Shots on the singles chart. Grammy winner Beck debuts at #3 with a good amount of spins, while also Beyoncé re-enters at number fourteen. A look ahead: HUGE debuts are expected to come from Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons next week. Can Smoke + Mirrors top Madonna's current record of 337 Scrobbles in one week?

Nice to see Beck's debut! And I also like that Best Night is the highest Madonna's entry, that song is really good. That spoken bridge is so Erotica!

I really want to like Rebel Heart but there's nothing on it that has really stood out to me. I cannot believe I've reached a time where I am indifferent to a new Madonna album.

Glad to see Beck debut, Bjork holding on and Vampire Weekend recharting.

The Queen lays siege to your chart I haven’t heard most of the Madge tracks yet, trying to wait until the album is released. What i have heard (The 6 tracks released in December) are amazing, the best material she’s released in years imo. Great to see Living For Love doing well, Ghosttown & Devil Pray need to chart soon.

Nice to see Madonna slay big time ;) - I haven't listened to the learks yet but it's great to see that others are excited about them... hopefully, I will like them when I receive my physical copy of her upcoming album as well ;) "Hold Tight" is really great. Competition lies in Smoke + Mirrors

Imagine Dragons made it. The US Rock Sensation stormed ahead of Madonna on the Albums Chart this week and set a new alltime record for the highest debut and one week airplay total at 458 plays. Madonna has to settle for the runner's up position, although a total of 249 plays in her third week is nothing, but impressive. Further new entries come from Double AA artist Drake, who debuts at #3 with his new mixtape, although early indicates show, that the album will continue to fall short of his peak with Thank Me Later. Over on the Singles Chart we welcome back one of the biggest hitmakers of the past 10 years: Florence + The Machine. Her newest smash hit "What Kind of Man" amassed 91 plays and become the biggest #1 debut of 2015 and the song with the second highest one week airplay of the year. Positions further down are completely owned by almost all album tracks of Smoke + Mirrors, leaving almost no space for Madonna or Robbie Williams. However, Williams' single has surpassed Mariah's "Meteorite" to become the third most played track of all times on LastFM.
