Can You Read My Mind?

Brandon Flowers continues to dominate the airwaves as Can't Deny My Love only loses 10 spins in comparison to last week and therefore collects the second strongest airplay total of this chart's history. Florence is the only other act to come remotely close, as her soulful anthem Saint Jude actually increases plays over last week's total, giving her the 4th largest one week airplay of 2015. Rihanna shows great strength as well. Her new single debuts straight in the top 5 - a first for her. Over on the albums chart the elite trinity consisting of Imagine Dragons, Madonna and Noel Gallagher stay untouched and only rotate positions, with Smoke + Mirrors being crowned this week's number one.

BBHMM is a bop I'm loving right now. Glad to see Petals charting, it's something that I can't listen to without getting emotional. I can truly relate to the song... This week's chart is dominated by a) Brandon Flowers and b) German acts. Brandon Flowers decreased only a little to finally make Can't Deny My Love the #1 most scrobbled song of the LastFm er (2011-), surpassing the elite top two of Triumphant (down to #4) and Feel The Love by Rudimental (down to #3). CDML also becomes the first and only single to hit 500 lifetime scrobbles. Among those accolades, Brandon also becomes the fastest rising singles artist of all times. Florence continues to wave at #2 with Saint Jude, while Stefanie Heinzmann bows in at #3. Over on the albums chart, Stefanie who has never previously made the top 10 with any of her singles or albums, debuts straight at #1 dethroning Imagine Dragons. Heinzmann is also the first female German speaking artist (she is originally from Switzerland) and the second overall German-related artist to reach the #1 spot on the albums chart after Mark Forster in 2015. Revolverheld round out what can be perceived as a German heavy week, as they place 3 of their 4 studio albums inside the albums top 20 this week. Old Skool

This week, we welcome back some old school acts which have not charted for almost a decade. Among them the No Angels and Eric Clapton, but most notably, one of the biggest albums and overall acts of the very first year of my chart, returns with Doll Revolution and group in question is nobody else, but The Bangles which have not been listed since 2004. Drake, however, overshadows all re-entries, as he returns big time, placing 3 albums in the top 20. Over on the singles chart, Brandon and Florence continue to set the bars.
