Janet jackson is back. For the first time during the LastFM era, Miss Jackson makes it to the top of the singles chart. Fellow R&B legend Whitney Houston tops this week's top overall artists chart. A plethora of her music saw a huge increase in popularity this week. The biggest surprise, however, comes from this year's undisputed king of POP, Brandon Flowers. The last Vegas crooner and occasional lead singer of The Killers returns to #1 with The Desired Effect on the albums chart. It is the album's 5th non-consecutive week at the top.

Lana Del Rey is this week's big winner. The songbird increases dramatically and snatches the Double this week, meaning topping the singles and albums chart. Also noteworthy is Ryan Adams' debut on the MSSA. His 1989 Taylor Swift cover album bows in at #5 this week. Over on the overall Top Artists Chart Marco Mengoni is back at #1. His domnation currently knows no boundaries.
