Triumvirat and the German assassin

Week after week, the three majors: Bosse, Leoniden and Imagine Dragons amass the biggest of streams without showing any signs of slowing down. However, for a moment there were two men who started out very strong into the week: Lil Nas X and Max Mutzke.
Max Mutze - a former ESC finals for Germany - released his new (German language) album "Wunschlos Süchtig" and debuts at #4. He also placed 3 of his songs in this week's top 10. Unfortunately, it was only enough to tie the current leader "My Life" by Imagine Dragons.
The other one is Lil Nas X. The former stan-war blogger released his debut album to incredble reviews and media fanfare. Of course controversy sells, but what nobody expected is this: The album is actually incredible. Let's pray that both new-entries can put up an even bigger fight in the coming week and finally break-up the triumvirat of dominance.

MSSA #39 of 2021

Wunschlos Süchtig

Poetry has never sounded so amazing. Former German ESC finalist, Max Mutzke, achieved the impossible. The jazz-pop crooner advances to #1 on the singles chart this week with his epic pop mega-hit: "Wunschlos Süchtig". This marks the first time that the German held the #1 position on the singles chart. German music acts are currently dominating the MSSA charts. On the albums list Bosse reclaims the #1 position, while Leoniden drop to #2. Mutzke, himself, sits comfortably at #4 while another German rises to the top 10 again, Mark Forster. Things won't let up for the country's specimen. Clueso has just released his new album, called "Album". The German megastar is expected to break up the dominating trio. But how far can he really go?

German Take Over

This week's MSSA chart is no different from the last few weeks. The only difference is that the three most dominant acts of the past few weeks had to make way for another German legend: Clueso. Sam Fender did it again. With his new album "Seventeen going under" the British music protégé debuts straight at #2 with a massing 270 streams.
