Oracular Spectacular hit #1 in 2009 for one week and stayed in the top 10 for 12 weeks. Congratulation peaked at #2 and stayed 2 weeks in the top 10 in 2010.

      #16 - 90 points - Kings of Leon

Debuting in 2009 at #1, Only by the Night has become one of the most successful albums ever on my chart. Staying at #1 for 4 non-consecutive weeks and a total of 14 weeks in the top 10. Their new album will be released next week in Germany, expect it to debut the week there after.

      #15 - 99 points - Söhne Mannheims

Multi-vocal german group Söhne Mannheims are one of the most successful german musicians, guided by Germany's chart king Xavier Naidoo, they made a huge impact on my chart too. So far, three album charted: Power of the Sound peaked at #2 in 2005, NOIZ reached #3 in the same year and Iz On was #2 in 2009.

      #14 - 103 points - Mando Diao

You don't know Mando Diao? You should immediately google them. Give me Fire is one of the most played albums of all times (it's ranked #34 on the alltime list). It debuted at #1 and stayed there for 4 consecutive weeks. It stayed 16 weeks in the top 10. Hurricane Bare was the second album which made the top 10. It peaked at #4 in 2009.

      #13 - 119 points - Snow Patrol

      #12 - 124 points - Silbermond

The most successful german act lands at #12. Silbermond made a huge impact in 2006 when Laut Gedacht debuted at #1 and spawned one of the greatest german songs of all times, Unendlich, which was a huge success on the most played songs chart too. Laut Gedacht stayed in the top 10 for 16 weeks. It's currently ranked as the 38th most played album of all times. Nichts Passiert debuted in 2009 and reached #2.

      #11 - 135 points - The Beatles

There cannot be a countdown of the most played bands that doesn't feature the greatest band of all times The Beatles. The fab four made a huge impact with 2 albums: 1 and Love. 1 debuted in 2006, when I entered my Beatles phase. 1 stayed in the top 10 for 12 weeks and peaked at #1 for four weeks. Love was less successful. It stayed in the top 10 for ten weeks, but it only peaked at #3 in 2006. 1 is the 48th most played album of the past 7 years. Love is ranked 67th on the alltime list.

            • #10 - 140 points - Linkin Park

Linkin Park open the top 10 with one of the most played rock-albums of my chart Minutes to Midnight. The album peaked at #1 in 2007, Meteora peaked at #3 in 2006, Reanimation did also hit #3 in 2008 and their latest album A Thousand Suns peaked at #2 this year.

              #9 - 153 points - The Verve

The Verve scored one of the biggest hits on the most played songs chart Bittersweat Symphony, which defines my teenage years. Their 2008 release Forth debuted at #1 and stayed there for 3 weeks. It also stayed 13 weeks inside the top 10 and is currently ranked 56th on the alltime list. Their biggest release was their Hits collection, called This is Music, which did also peak at #1 and stayed in the top 10 for 17 weeks. It's the 36th most played album since 2004.

              #8 - 182 points - Oasis

Britain is the home of all great music and bands and Oasis are clearly among the best the music industry has ever seen. Their break up last year was a shock not only for me but for all fans of great music. What's the Story (Morning Glory) peaked at #6 in 2005, not bad for a catalogue album which was released 9 years before my chart's birth. Oasis scored one of the biggest live albums on my chart with their MTV Unplugged album, which has never been officially released. Unplugged peaked at #1 in 2006. Stop the clocks peaked at #2 in 2007 and stayed in the chart for 15 weeks. It's currently ranked 42nd on the alltime list and it's one of the most successful Hits collections too. Familiar to Millions did debut in 2007 and peaked at #4 and Dig out your Soul debuted at #1 in 2008. It only stayed 5 weeks in the top 10 though. Dig out your Soul is currently ranked 95th on the alltime list.

              #7 - 187 points - The Bangles

You should never underestimate the power of an 80's girl band. The Bangles rouled the very first year of my chart, 2004. They landed two big albums in my chart. The first one was their 2003 new release Doll Revolution which peaked at #1 for 4 non-consecutive weeks and which stayed 15 weeks in the top 10. It spawned the #1 hit something that you said. It has never re-entered the top 10 after its initial chartrun and it's currently ranked 26th on the alltime list. The second super hit was their Definitive Collection which was released in 2003 too. It also stayed at the top for 4 weeks. It's the 51st most played album of all times, despite the fact that it has never re-entered the top 10 also.

              #6 - 192 points - One Republic

One Republic debuted in 2008 and have amde a huge impact on my chart since. Deaming out loud stayed 17 weeks in the top 10 and 3 weeks of them at #1. It's the 29th most played album since 2004 on my chart. Their latest album Waking Up did also hit #1 for 1 week and stayed in the top 10 for 13 weeks. Say (All I need) was the major force behind their debut album's success, as this song belonged to the 14 nominees as the song of the past decade.

              • # 10 Linkin Park
I bought "Hybrid Theory" in 2001 because I loved the singles "Crawling" and "In The End". "What I've Done" was one of my favorite songs of 2007.

                #9 Urban Hymns
Their album "Urban Hymns" was another one I bought, back in 1997, after I heard "The Drugs Don't Work" (and "Bitter Sweet Symphony", of course).

                #8 Oasis
Liked them a lot in the 90s but lost interest in the 00s.

                #7 Bangles
Their Greatest Hits album was one of the very first CDs I bought, in the very early 1990s

                #6 One Republic
They have some good songs but I would never by any of their albums, dunno why, they are more of a singles band to me

                        • My Most Played Bands EVER

                          #5 - 195 points - Maroon 5

Since their debut album I am a huge fan of Maroon 5. Unfortunately Songs about Jane never made my Top 10 so far. It won't be soon before long debuted at #1 in 2007 and has so far spent 5 weeks at #1. It has become the 22nd most played album of all times. The remix album to It won't be soon Call and Response debuted in 2009 and has so far stayed 10 weeks in the top 10. It peaked at #2. Their latest release Hands All Over debuted at #1 in 2010.

                          #4 - 216 points - The Black Eyed Peas

I hated the Black Eyed Peas when they first debuted. I thought they sounded dated and cheap. The first song I liked was My Humps. Monkey Business debuted in 2006 and peaked at #5. It's only ranked #106th on the alltime list. BUT in 2009 they came back with one of the greatest Electro-Hop albums ever The E.N.D.. The album spawned three #1 songs: I gotta Feeling (nominated song of the decade), Alive and One Tribe. A total of 6 songs reached the top 10 on the most played songs chart. The album itself debuted at #1 and stayed at the top for 9 non-consecutive weeks. The #1 reign was interrupted by Michael Jackson's soaring catalogue after his death. The END is currently ranked 11th on the alltime list, it has recently lost its top 10 position to The Element of Freedom by Alicia Keys.

                          #3 - 230 points - The Killers

The Killers were nobodys until I gave them a real chance and I was so right. Day & Age was the first album to debut on my chart by the Killers in 2009. Day & Age peaked and debuted at #1, Hot Fuss was the second album to chart and it also peaked at #1 in 2009. Day & Age is the 57th most played album of all times, while Hit Fuss is ranked 78th. Sawdust was the third album to chart on 2009, peaking at #4 and Sam's Town completed the quartet, peaking at #3 in 2010. In 2010 I discovered their Live from the Royal Albert Hall release which became an instant mega smash on my chart, debuting at #1. The album has become their most successful one. It#s currently ranked 53rd on the alltime list

                          • And now the #1 and #2 most played band since 2004 - are both British acts.

                            #2 - 509 points - Take That

I'm not a fans since the first hour. I didn't even know about them when they became really huge. Take That were one of the first acts that I became a fan of when my musical consciousness was developing in 1995. And when I become a fan of someone I stay a fan forever. Take That received the honor to get the Song of the decade title for Never Forget as the most played song in the 90's. Never Forget is the most successful catalogue song, which consitently reaches the Most Played Songs Chart top 10 every year. It collected enough points to get a song of the decade nomination the past decade. It would have ended the decade as the 6th most played song. Nobody Else was the overall 11th album to chart on my Most Played Albums chart in 2004. The album peaked at #3. The Greatest Hits (1996) debuted in 2004 and peaked at #2, it's the 79th most played album on the alltime list. Never Forget Ultimate debuted in 2005 and peaked at #1 in 2006. It is ranked 43rd on the alltime list. Beautiful World debuted at #1 in 2006 and has so far spent 8 weeks atop the chart. It dropped on the alltime list to #14. The Circus debuted at #1 in 2008 and spend 4 weeks atop the Chart. It features the song of the decade nominee The Garden. The Circus is ranked 21st on the alltime list. Their 2009 live Album: Take That presents the Circus: the Greatest Day peaked at #2. Take That were the overall 5th artist to cross the 500 points mark.

                            #1 - 586 points - Coldplay

Coldplay make it. The #1 Most Played Band/Group since I compile my chart. They own Three mega albums and were awarded the song of the decade honor in 2009 for Fix You. X&Y was their first album to chart in 2005. It debuted at #4 but peaked at #1 the week after. It's so far their biggest succes on my chart and was in the top 10 of the alltimes list until early 2010. It's now ranked 13th. With 34 weeks inside the top 10 it's the 8th longest running top 10 album ever. A Rush of Blood to the Head was the second album to chart- also in 2005. It even stayed one week longer at #1 than X&Y, 4 weeks. It#s ranked #27th on the alltime list. And Parachutes was the third album of Coldplay to chart in 2005, peaking at #3. Viva la Vida was their 5th album to chart. It debuted at #1 (their first to do so) in 2008, spending 4 weeks at the top. Viva La Vida has so far spend 33 weeks inside the top 10. It's also ranked #15 on the alltime list, making Coldplay the only Band with 2 albums in the top 15/20. Viva La Vida spawned the #1 songs LOST and Viva la Vida. In 2010 Violet Hill became the third song from the album to hit the #1 position. Viva la Vida belongs to the top 10 catalogue albums with most re-current spins/impact. Prospekt's March was their 6th release to chart. And as VLV it debuted at #1 in 2008. Prospekt's March is currently ranked #68th on the alltime list. No other band has had more #1 albums than Coldplay.

The Overall biggest album by a Band/Group:

Alltime List Rank: #11 (199 Points)
                            Certification: 6x Platinum
