MPS/A #36 of 2012
-- Alanis Morissette grabs her second #1 single of the Havoc era with Receive. The song was blocked by Mariah Carey's Triumphant for the past couple of weeks and has finally surpassed it. This is the first double pole for Alanis since Everything and So-Called Chaos held the #1 spots in 2004. Triumphant takes a dive to #3 this week and it was very near dropping out of the top 5 completely. A Very late release of Alicia Keys' new single Girl on Fire only managed to debut at #2 this week. With her last era "The Dominance of Freedom" she broke several records. The album spawned 4 consecutive #1 singles and currently ranks 10th on my alltime most played albums list. It will be very hard for Alanis to stay in competition next week.
I not only played God in Dogma, I am God - and your leader! Bow down!

I still have to check out that Alanis album (which I was supposed to do ages ago) but I'm pleased to see "Girl On Fire" debut so high and obviously I'm happy to see MC still in your Top 3.Akini's Top 100 Songs of All-Time [2023 Edition: #1]
Your Billboard Top Ten: #1 Cruel Summer (x3)
AlbumClash 2.0: [Carly Rae Jepsen vs. Olivia Rodrigo]

I can't believe the 4th quarter of 2012 will once again feature a chart-battle between Robbie and Alicia, just like 2009-2010 when Reality and The Dominance of Freedom replaced each other each week at #1.
This week we have a glimpse of what lies ahead, since Girl on Fire competes against Candy, and Receive. My Chart

MPS/A #37 of 2012
Alternative Ending
The Killers are back, undeniably. The Las Vegas natives overpower almost the complete competition and grab the double #1. Here with Me surpassed Girl on Fire yesterday and made this feat complete, almost in last minute. Nelly Furtado couldn't compete. Her new album settles in at #2, it leaked 1 day after Battle Born. It's questionable if it would have been more of a competition, had it leaked at the same time. Her last english-speaking album, Loose, belongs to my most played albums of all times. The Killers vs. Furtado could very well define the coming weeks, until Alicia and Robbie drop their albums, but maybe Mumford and Sons can have a piece of this pie as well. Candy, so far, is the lowest debuting lead single by Robbie since Old Before I die debuted outside the top 20 at the end of the 90's.

I'm not feelin' The Killers new material that much. I've just loved them in the Human era, but i've never been that much in their music, and Brandon's hotness isn't enough to make me love them.
But i love Nelly's impact on your chart, her new album is really really good. Much better and cohesive than Loose, IMO.
