Stevyy's MSSA Chart :: #15 of 2024 :: I Thought It Was Justin!
Not too much variation in the artists in your top 20 Quite like the new Florence, but need to listen to it a few more times yet!
yeah I realised that too when I compiled my chart. I had only 2 artists in my top 20 the week after Whitney passed though. They were Whitney of course and... Madonna - surprisingly!
I'm proud of being so hipster lately. James Blake <3
1.(1) Imagine Dragons - Night Visions
2.(new) James Blake - Overgrown
I think James' album is much better than the latter, maybe less hit-making and easy-listening album but I like the way I am discovering songs on Overgrown everytime I am coming back to listen to it... I think Imagine Dragons are just another rock band - like there are many more/less the same ones. James is unique.
Excellent #1! It's definitely one of the best songs of the year so far. Nice to see "Don't Hold The Wall" return too.
1.(new) Florence and the Machine - Over The Love
7.(3) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
11.(7) Justin Timberlake - Mirrors
13.(9) Justin Timberlake - Tunnel Vision
14.(15) Imagine Dragons - On Top of The World
16.(re) Justin Timberlake - Don't Hold the Wall
19.(2) Kelly Clarkson - People Like Us
20.(8) The Script - Hall of Fame

You know how I love Florence but I realized her depressive tunes like that make me depressive as well, so I had put a limit on airplay of her sad songs But of course her vocals are beyond human talents and will stay as such!
Beware, Mariah Carey is debuting her new single on #monday! All predictions are based on today's airplay. Considering her last two singles Triumphant and Almost Home debuted with way over 150 spins each, makes her the secret joker.
"When we saw that we were back at #1 on both the singles and albums chart, we were like 'dude, we did something right'. It's unbelievable that we topped Florence and the Machine, we celebrated hard last night." (Dan Reynolds)
"Over The Love" is staying largely consistent here so yay for that. Woohoo for "You Oughta Know" entering too. I love that song in all its forms: studio, live, remixed, whatever. It's such a classic.
2.(1) Florence and the Machine - Over The Love
4.(7) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
13.(new) Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know (LIve at Montreux)
14.(13) Justin Timberlake - Tunnel Vision
17.(11) Justin Timberlake - Mirrors

Mariah Carey - as expected - smashes in at #1 with 247 spins in the first 4 days since being available. With a full 7 days availability, the song might have topped Rudimental's alltime #1 spins record. Rudimental, however, make headlines this week as they push down Imagine Dragons to #2 on the albums chart and grab the crown themselves. They also have 3 top 5 entries on the singles chart which is an immense statement of their popularity and their inevitable rise as AA artists in my world. Imagine Dragons are also lifted from A to AA artists - the highest rating on my chart.
"#Pow" (Mariah acknowledges humbly her second #1 single in 2013)
A look ahead: Mariah Carey and Miguel continue to dominate the entire top 10. Imagine Dragons and Rudimental are her closest rivals, Jahmene Douglas holds on.
