yeah I realised that too when I compiled my chart. I had only 2 artists in my top 20 the week after Whitney passed though. They were Whitney of course and... Madonna - surprisingly!

I'm proud of being so hipster lately. James Blake <3

1.(1) Imagine Dragons - Night Visions
      2.(new) James Blake - Overgrown

I think James' album is much better than the latter, maybe less hit-making and easy-listening album but I like the way I am discovering songs on Overgrown everytime I am coming back to listen to it... I think Imagine Dragons are just another rock band - like there are many more/less the same ones. James is unique.

Excellent #1! It's definitely one of the best songs of the year so far. Nice to see "Don't Hold The Wall" return too.

You know how I love Florence but I realized her depressive tunes like that make me depressive as well, so I had put a limit on airplay of her sad songs But of course her vocals are beyond human talents and will stay as such!

I love your ranking system of artists

I've only listened to Buble's album once but it's pretty decent on first listen.

                  MPS/A #18 of 2013

                  The next huge act

Imagine Dragons make it again. In one of the closest battles for the #1 position, Imagine Dragons come out at the top once again. The Dragons push Florence down to #2 and celebrate their third consecutive #1 single on my chart. The last act who achieved that was Jessie Ware, also in 2013. X-Factor runner-up Jahmene Douglas, who I discovered towards the end of the week, debuts 2 of his live songs from the show in the top 20. And it's not bold to predict that he might become a serious threat for the #1 position next week. He will have to go against Rudimental and Emele Sandé. I bought Home towards the end of the week, that is why Home "only" debuts at #5. It seems that Home and More than Anything could both advance to #1 as well next week. Biggest competitors for the #1 on the albums chart are once against Imagine Dragons.

Beware, Mariah Carey is debuting her new single on #monday! All predictions are based on today's airplay. Considering her last two singles Triumphant and Almost Home debuted with way over 150 spins each, makes her the secret joker.

"When we saw that we were back at #1 on both the singles and albums chart, we were like 'dude, we did something right'. It's unbelievable that we topped Florence and the Machine, we celebrated hard last night." (Dan Reynolds)

"Over The Love" is staying largely consistent here so yay for that. Woohoo for "You Oughta Know" entering too. I love that song in all its forms: studio, live, remixed, whatever. It's such a classic.

Chart alert: Midweek: Mariah/Miguel lead a strong top 5

Mariah Carey & Miguel just crossed the 150 spins mark. The track is on its way to cross the 200 plays barrier up until thursday night and should reach #1 on the new edition of my chart. It will be Mariah Carey's second #1 single in 2013, after Almost Home completed a 4 week reign earlier this year. Beautiful will be Miguel's first #1 hit. Other climbers will be Rudimental/Emeli Sandé and Jahmene Douglas.

                              MPS/A #19 of 2013

                              #Beautiful

Mariah Carey - as expected - smashes in at #1 with 247 spins in the first 4 days since being available. With a full 7 days availability, the song might have topped Rudimental's alltime #1 spins record. Rudimental, however, make headlines this week as they push down Imagine Dragons to #2 on the albums chart and grab the crown themselves. They also have 3 top 5 entries on the singles chart which is an immense statement of their popularity and their inevitable rise as AA artists in my world. Imagine Dragons are also lifted from A to AA artists - the highest rating on my chart.

"#Pow" (Mariah acknowledges humbly her second #1 single in 2013)
