I'm also so, so excited that Made Up Mind had a showing a couple days ago! I'm so happy it's gotten some additional rotation But I'm even more pleased you picked another track from Bonnie's album that I haven't charted yet. You are almost assuredly be the only person to chart a Bonnie track that I haven't I agree it's a strong track. I love the title track; I' maybe charting it soon.
We'll see! I have to admit that it's weird for me to move at such a glacial pace with anything, but my only goal is to have it wrapped it before YEC season.

Yeah, those songs charted based on my initial run-through of the album. My early thoughts are that the lyricism is super strong! Had I checked out the album two weeks earlier, I might've seen her when she was in town earlier this month.

I wasn't quite as enamored with the movie overall (Would've preferred a bit more Bowen and a bit less Joel, his nonstop snark got a little old) - but the "Sometimes" performance scene alone was 100% worth it! A part of me worried that MUNA's version would just play over the credits and that'd be it, so it was a wonderful surprise to discover how the song actually works into the story (and I had no idea Bowen can sing). Now if only that inclusion was enough to give Brit's original a "Running Up That Hill"/"Dreams" moment so it can earn a better Hot 100 peak than that egregious No. 21...
        • What is this glorious groovy eargasm courtesy of Queen Carrie?! You're definitely much more of a Carrie expert than I am, but this style seems like something different for her? (Kacey's genre-blurring impact, perhaps)? I can see why this is a major D&R standout, but do any other tracks come close?
        • Love that "U + Ur Hand" was the song to give P!nk's career such a significant second wind. So fun, so fitting

Yet another chart that knows exactly what I want, Akini!

Aw, I'd hoped you like the movie more, but glad you still checked it out! I'm much closer to the dating struggle than you are, so maybe that's why it resonated more with me.

Yay at that description of "Wanted Woman". Honestly, the first time I played it, it was a home-run, but the more time I spend with it, the more I enjoy it and I'm confident that it will be the big keeper of the era for me, in addition to "She Don't Know". Other standouts on the album are "Poor Everybody Else", "Burn", and "Velvet Heartbreak", but I think the whole LP is worth a spin. I was really worried because of the forerunner offerings and now I'm bemused by the selections as most of them are among the weakest songs on the album. Overall, though, she keeps her sterling quality of album releases intact!

I think she's done it before. "Chaser" first comes to mind.

          It's the most P!nk P!nk song.

Uh oh - has "She Don't Know" also fallen from grace, or do you just mean every other promo single (+ "Ghost Story")? Many thanks for those recs! It did seem like an encouraging sign for D&R when Carrie managed to achieve the rare Total-Top 20-Takeover (that still eludes Tay) on release day.

I meant all the others. "She Don't Know" is fantastic and a comfortable second-best on the album for me.

We'll see if Taylor is able to join that elite club this December.

I was actually gonna go out last night and be at an actual club, but I decided I wanted to have a low-key evening after a stressful work day.

"Good in Bed" was among my top five of the album. I was honestly shocked that more people didn't connect with it; it seems to be a deeply accessible track, lyrically, based on anecdotal evidence.

Maybe that, subconsciously. I've just been in a big pop anthem mood lately.

Aside from most UKMIXERs' lovemaking skills not being on your level (ofc, myself included), I imagine that simplistic, repetitive chorus put a lot of people off (just too many "bad"s, "bed"s, "head"s, etc. Dua Seuss action).
                            • TIL I've been misquoting "Womanizer" since 2008 I always thought it was "must mistake me FOR A sucker, to think that I would be a victim..." Bless you and your thread titles!
                            • I was thinking about Circus's many potential single options over in your Album Countdown, and this Top 20 reminded me how "Mannequin" had sizable fan support back in the day too. I think a big part of that argument was that it would be a perfect single to showcase (in the video and live performances) that she could still wield her top-tier choreography skills. I wanna say there were "Lace And Leather" advocates too, though that one's harder to wrap my head around

                            Yet another seductive chart, Akini!

OMG, "Lace and Leather" could've given us a really hot sex kitten video, though.

                                • First of all, did I see your birthday was this past week? Aww, happy birthday! I hope you enjoyed your day!

I really should check your album thread before coming in here because I feel like these last couple days are spoilers for albums that made it. But I'm just so delighted to see Bonnie be the one to hold on the Britney explosion on Friday.

And of course the day before that must be the I'm Your Baby Tonight album. I hope she has more albums to come. I think it's my least played album of hers, though that's like saying DaVinci's least liked paining because they are masterpieces. But even with it being the least played, it has songs that get played over and over. I should save my commentary for the thread tho But in any case, Whitney four days in a row is a nice run!

Because I do love Stretchy Pants, I did finally check out Carrie's album At first I was pretty unbothered by it, but I hung on and I'm glad I did because the album gets stronger as it keeps going. And I love She Didn't Know!

Yeah, I've been picking up the pace with that 'cause I don't want it to bleed into YEC season.

I just checked and it's my fourth-most-played studio album of hers since 1/1/2012.

OMG, yes, "She Don't Know" is so good! I would definitely encourage you to spend more time with "Wanted Woman" as well; that one has firmly moved into pole position for me. It's too romantic.

"Jesus Walks" is so good! The Britney songs aren't quite her best, but they're definitely filled to the brim with nostalgia for me. That era of music is honestly my favourite.

(Admittedly, it's not one of my FN faves but I just think it lacks the catchiness/replay value that most of the album boasts).

Whitney’s Its Not Right is such a banger. One of my faves from her.
Yeah, "Texts Go Green" was one of the songs I saved on my first pass through of the album.

I feel like most fans would do better video treatments than whoever these stars are paying big bucks to.

Not at all. I just don't have the phucks anymore to have love life woes...which is good and bad, I guess.

"Wake Up Alone" makes five no. 1s for Back to Black, the other four being: "Back to Black", "You Know I'm No Good", "Love is a Losing Game", and "Rehab".
