Yeah, I think I worked in excess of 120 hours the other week at work, then I had an overreaction with this guy I'm talking to (probably due to lack of rest and my prior experiences with men being trash) so yeah, nothing fatal and I'm working on fixing both situations.

Ah, you didn't find it fun? I love how camp it is, and the lyrics are pretty fierce and uplifting.

It was actually a guy on Tinder that introduced me to "Streets". I think it's always interesting the songs the GP connects with. Interestingly enough, I didn't really connect with "Don't Start Now" 'til after it fell off the charts.

And of course, your #1 is a HUGE song for me.
As a part of the pride network at my workplace, I actually penned a letter to a queer adolescent living in a youth shelter and I think I not only referenced Kacey's "Rainbow" within the letter, but also played it the whole time I was writing it. Felt interesting to be on the other end encouraging someone to have hope that it gets better.

So of the two Chloe x Halle songs, it seems like 80/20 is winning out easily over Hazy for you, though for me it is the opposite.

I see Sam Cooke is in there yesterday - did you recently see One Night in Miami? I just watched it this past weekend.
I did! I just watched it Tuesday and I really enjoyed it. Eli Goree, the actor who played Cassius Clay, really filled out every centimetre of those trousers.

Regarding "80/20" vs. "Hazy", I kept reading in the album thread how awesome the final minute was and when I played it, I was like... Lyrically, "80/20" is very much up my alley, but maybe "Hazy" will grow on me in time.

Yet another chart that helps me breathe easy, Akini!
Yeah, I've been working some obscene hours lately and I've gotten a combined total of eight hours of sleep the last three nights, so the busy season struggle is realer than ever, so much so that I neglected to update the thread title yesterday.

That twang is its big selling point for me actually! You're right - it is very pre-1989 Taylor. It takes me back to her 'Fearless' days.

Yeah, I've needed the uplifting music lately.

    Thanks for visiting, Paul! <3
