"Symptomatic" definitely tackles a more interesting/complex topic than "Perfect For You"s "friends fighting over a crush" saga It's kind of uncomfortably candid, but a part of me really appreciates that. Do you mean I haven't charted your favorite at all yet, or just not sent it to No. 1? Clue me in if I'm missing something good!

    Thanks again, Blondini!

Wasn't expecting that (though I do recall "Try" being a big fan fave). I love the randomess of Beautiful Trauma being the first album for both of us (and not any of her far more successful ones. Great minds) Aside from the singles, my favorite on BT was definitely "I Am Here."

Swirled straight down the drain, eh? Not sure how long it'll last here either (especially with Miley's impending album bomb). Shame she didn't do a proper video for it to help draw more attention to the upcoming Deluxe Edition.

            Thanks again, Thriller!

"Hate Me" and "Runaway" stood out too, but "Trustfall" is definitely in a league of its own. Hopefully she'll make videos for one (or both) of those other highlights before the era's over.

It's so cute, I'm a bit obsessed! I know Donna's biggest/most iconic smashes ("She Works Hard For The Money," "Hot Stuff," "No More Tears," etc), but I had no idea that she did an entire album with Stock Aitken Waterman until Akini recently started charting some of those singles. "I'm going crazy just to let you knoOoOow..."

SAW were huge in Europe. I eagerly watched every release back in the 80's. I especially loved Mel & Kim. They worked with so many people. Even our own Dolly Dots worked with them (What A Night).

My favorite up tempo from Donna Summer: Melody of Love (produced by Clivilles & Cole).
My favorite ballads: Whenever there is love (duet from the Daylight soundtrack) and Does He Love You (duet with Liza M.)

It's wild just how prolific (and successful) they were in the late-80's! I mostly know them via Kylie and the big Rick Astley hits that crossed the pond (Sonia just came onto my radar for the first time a couple years ago). I wish the US had been more receptive to their brand of pop/I'd been exposed to more of it sooner! Thankfully, that Donna gem managed to go Top 10 here.

I might pass on the flight with Earhart but it's impressive how many clever historical references Donna crammed in there!

I think Thriller echoes that sentiment, but "Miracle" is probably my second-favorite Ellie offering from the past year (just behind "Let It Die").

                                                • Wow, I know you made a comment about liking the sound of that Donna Summer album, but I didn't expect two songs from it to be charting so high! "Love's About to Change My Heart" is comfortably my favourite on the album, but "This Time I Know It's for Real" has stuck with me and become an earworm in its own right, too. Do you have any strong feelings regarding "Sentimental"? That one's my second-favourite on the LP.

I played "Miracle" and "To Be Honest". Both are decent. I'll probably revisit the former at some point.
