    • I like "The Sea" and "Did I". "Cowgirl" is trippy.

      • Romy and Olivia are both good albums.

        Nice to see Abry.

        • Checked out your #1, doesn’t sound bad, I gotta check out the album! Don’t know Romy at all but I’ve encountered her name on ukmix several times now.

Shame about “Tension” already dropping so fast! I think it’ll still be my #1 by the end of this week.

If clubby/trance-y stuff does anything for you, dive in! A really cohesive, satisfying album.

You'll have to pick up the slack for me (though I can't get over you calling it superior to "Padam Padam" and getting multiple people in the song thread to agree with you ).

Regarding your Top 5: "A&E" is lovely! I have a couple Alison Goldfrapp tracks in my library (courtesy of Tony's chart), but this is the first tune I've added from them as a duo. They're labelled Electronic, so is "A&E" sort of an outlier? What put it on your mind lately? Also: LOVE the randomness of "Kiss Me Once" making the cut too!

            Thanks again, SD!

            • That Zheani song is AWFUL - what are you thinking Paul I was all hoping it would be giving WAP, but instead it is giving crap. At least come up with a less creepy lyric video, Zheani! We are talking about WAP here; how can you make that creepy?

Also, I can't believe you would do that to Kylie just a week ahead of her album release! I had to peace out about 3 minutes in on your #1, but I gave her another shot with your #2, and I like that much better.

Love is Embarrassing is your top Olivia track? That's a good choice; it was a stand-out to me too! I have to say Bad Idea is catchier than I remembered it being when she released it last month. Honestly, she could have released that as a lead and it would have done well since people were so perched for Olivia, and THEN you do Vampire, Olivia. (I am still so salty about this.)

What is prompting Taylor to return? Did you go to her concert?

My favorite debut on here is Cowgirl!

Obviously that track won't appeal to anyone whose c*nt is as dry and dusty as a desert but you make a great point about it basically being the edgy white girl version of WAP.

                "pussy is Dior,
                and my sweat Prada
                ,
but under my skirt is a whole lotta ‘nada..."

Ha, now THAT response surprised me! I think Romy's material is so beautifully hypnotic Like if Cloud 9 could fit a dancefloor. A clubby comfort blanket.

Poor Liv, forever blacklisted for not following proper holiday-theming protocol.

Nah (I'm too cheap, too hermit-y). Something about "Anti-Hero" really gives me autumn vibes, and it's a great go-to track for whenever my brain's being unreasonable/I recognize that I'm actually the one creating a problem, ha.

Hype! Never would've pegged that as this chart's most Cheap-approved entry, but I'll gladly take it.

                "boy,

It is superior though It's pretty much everything I want in a Kylie track - fun, uplifting, great production, catchy as hell! But as I've said in the thread, I like "Padam Padam" a lot too, so no worries there!

I'm currently exposed to Goldfrapp's music for the first time thanks to the artist survivor that is currently going on! Honestly, from what I've experienced in that survivor (and it was quite a rollercoaster ride, I think cheapthrills would agree), you can't really put a label on them. If you've ever wanted a diverse artist where no song sounds like the other, Goldfrapp is what you're looking for They probably have something for everyone in their discography, but there's also some really weird stuff in there that I couldn't get into. "A&E" was my favorite discovery of the survivor so far, though!

And "Kiss Me Once" seems really random, yes. I think I've already mentioned to you that I only got into Kylie's discography earlier this year, and I kinda rushed through some of the stuff, but the upcoming album made me wanna go back to some of the stuff that I might have underappreciated when I first checked it out - the KMO album being a good example for this. I relistened to the album again and started appreciating the title track, it was completely uninteresting to me after the first listen and I inititally never went back to it, but now I love it! A similar thing happened with "The One" too, never really cared about that one but I'm actually enjoying it a lot currently.

Ah, I should've checked the Games section before asking! The Survivor Effect™ definitely impacts my chart from time-to-time too. I knew Goldfrapp were well-regarded/indie-darling-types, but I didn't realize they were also genre chameleons. They seem worthy of a deeper dive, but I already feel like I hop from one new album to the next too quickly in the streaming era, so maybe someday.

Ha, OK, you're winning me back now! I'll sometimes side-eye the songs that fanbases really put on pedestals, but "The One" actually fully deserves its adoration. On the flipside, I think fans are often a bit too eager to disparage KMO due to its American influences (her working with Roc Nation and some American producers). It's hardly her all-time-best, but it isn't totally irredeemable or disposable either. I have big soft spots for "Into The Blue" and "Feels So Good" (it's so wild to me that it's a cover, since the song feels SO "Kylie"). Shout-out to "Million Miles," "Fine," and "Sleeping With The Enemy" too.

I’m gonna be controversial again and tell you that I enjoy “I Was Gonna Cancel” too! Not among her best ofc, but I do quite like it. Was a bit surprised when I found out that fans absolutely despise it “Sexy Love” is another KMO fave of mine that seems to be overhated imo! It’s probably my most played song from that album.

”Golden” was an interesting experience because I really don’t like country music at all, even if it’s just hints of it combined with another genre, so I expected to end up not liking that album. And while it’s true that it’s probably her weakest album for me, I actually enjoyed quite a few tracks! “Dancing”, “Sincerely Yours”, “Raining Glitter”, and “Shelby ‘68” are all quite enjoyable, but my favorite from “Golden” is actually “Low Blow”, love that one!

Nice to see “Tension” rise + “A&E” entering your charts! Can’t wait to see how Kylie’s new album will impact your charts. I’ve pretty much had it on repeat today!

                                • I'll have to check out some of those unfamiliar tracks later, but for now, let's do the quick bulk edit Last.fm walkthrough!

Step one: Identifying the problem. So I decided to select an existing issue of mine, one that you may also have, whereby in my pre-Spotify years Ariana Grande's "Best Mistake" scrobbled with the "(feat. Big Sean)" tag, but once I switched over to Spotify permanently, "Best Mistake" scrobbled without the "feat. Big Sean" tag, thus inappropriately creating two separate tracks in my most-played Ari list that looks like this:

Step two: Drill into the 'incorrect' tag. By clicking the bar with the '42' plays of the 'wrong' "Best Mistake", I'm taken to the full history of that track's scrobbles, with the exact date and time scrobbled. Once there, select the three dots adjacent to any individual scrobble and from the dropdown menu, select "Edit scrobble".

Step three: Edit scrobble, apply bulk edit, and apply automatic edit. In the "Track" line, I changed "Best Mistake" to "Best Mistake (feat. Big Sean)". I scroll down and ensure to check the boxes next to "Bulk edit" and "Automatic edit". Bulk edit applies your desired fix to all instances of the individual scrobble and "Automatic" edit remembers your fix and applies all future scrobbles as per the new configuration (in this case, with the "feat. Big Sean" tag).

Step four: Double-check that total track spins are merged.

Tip: Note that when in "Edit scrobble", you can change whichever properties you want to. In my instance, I just needed to change the title of the track, but you can also change the album title (such as in those annoying cases where "deluxe edition" is needlessly tacked on).

For someone who wasn't super-sold on the album overall, you have a great variety of Golden faves! "Low Blow" in particular I NEVER would've guessed, but that's the kind of response I love to read! "Sincerely Yours" really is gorgeous (and among the album's least-Countrified tunes, alongside "Lost Without You." Funnily enough, it's one of the few tracks she actually recorded in Nashville).

The total Tension takeover is imminent.

                                    Thanks again, SD!

THANK YOU!!! OK, this is my entire life now So far, I'm focusing mostly on adding all lead/pre-release single scrobbles to their respective albums (like how "Good Days" and "I Hate U" were scrobbled to their own separate singles before she announced SOS), but I'm sure to keep messing around with various aspects of this for days/weeks/months to come. I'm extremely charmed by "Best Mistake" earning the honors of being your primary instructional example.

                                      I'm eternally grateful, Akini!

I need to put some time aside to listen to Romy’s new record!
