Lol I had never seen that before. I think she was nervous from the playback problem and then way too hot from all those clothes she was wearing lol. I love the look at the crowd's faces towards the end. They're thinking... "I could do better than than" lol or "Is this the Sabrina everyone told me I have to see?"

NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGE MUSIC & RANDOM ENGLISH-LANGUAGE INDUCTIONS PART 8 of 40
So since the countdowns of my two favourite artists of all time are done, time to turn my attention into my favourite songs of all time... So this is how it's gonna look like: There's gonna be 40 different segments (10 songs each) which are gonna focus on one or two different themes each time. It's gonna be either a specific artist focus (and here is where the divas come in) or world music focus or both on the same day (albeit on two separate segments). I am not sure if I am making much sense but it is a chance to look back at some of my favourite songs and acts of all time. All you have to do is say a YES or a NO depending on whether you like the song in question to be inducted in my personal Hall of Fame:
A.ITALIAN CLASSICS TOP 10Continuing the theme from Sabrina, let's stay in Italy. I have to admit I am not a huge fan of the Italian music which usually becomes famous outside the country's borders as it seems to be consisting of a huge amount of romantic ballads. Still though, being from a country which always looked up to Italy, I had no problem coming up with 10 Italian songs that I really like so here they are. As always you can listen to the song by clicking on the song's name
-#1.Milva: Uomini Addosso
-#2.Domenico Modugno: Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu
-#3.Roberto Murolo & Mia Martini: Cu'mme
-#4.Raffaella Carra:A Far L'Amore Comincia Tu
-#5.Toto Cutugno: L'Italiano
-#6.Jovanotti: L'Ombelico Del Mondo (Italy #14)
-#7.Yolanda Be Cool & DCup:We No Speak Americano (Italy #3---UK #1---USA #29)
(original and sampling: "Tu Vuo Fa L' Americano" by Renato Carosone)
-#8:Al Bano & Romina Power:Felicita
-#9.Umberto Tozzi: Gloria
-#10.Eros Ramazotti: Cose Della Vita (Italy #4)jio CHARTS NOW:30/5/2023: https://www.ukmix.org/forum/chart-di...9#post11144329

Toto Cutugno and the couple A&R is rightly considered the crap of the crap over here!!!
Cu'mme is such a good track: love Mia Martini
Not fond of Ramazzotti at all....
Raffaella Carrà made some enjoyable songs....but for god sake she she'd better host than singning...lol
There is much much MORE better artist and songs in Italy!!!There's only one Queen
and that's MADONNA.

Lol most Greeks are at a loss to understand what makes Nana Moushouri that special but the foreigners have a different point of view lol
As I said I was never that interested in Italian music, I guess those are the songs that crossed over and caught my ear (as in most foreign countdowns I do). I am sure an Italian person would have much better songs to suggest, no question about itjio CHARTS NOW:30/5/2023: https://www.ukmix.org/forum/chart-di...9#post11144329

A.STOCK AITKEN WATERMAN (SAW) PRODUCTIONS TOP 10OK they were cheesy as hell, OK their songs sounded way too similar to eachother, OK there were too many covers along the way but no one can deny the extraordinary chart success of those producers in the late '80s. They were responsible for a string of chart achievements including the launching of Kylie's (who's excluded from this countdown) career. So here are the 10 best songs this production team ever did. As always you can listen to the song by clicking on the song's name

Sometimes when I use p2p programs, I like to browse other people's mp3 lists. Somehow I can always tell if they're greek, before even spotting a single greek song in their lists.
Seeing some of your charts, and if I didn't already know, I'm sure I'd be able to guess where you're from by now. Not because of any song in particular, rather because there are a lot of typical greek hits I guess!

Lol of course. Although that is probably true only for non-english language music and for older music ('80s-'90s). If you look at my current charts, I think half or even more of the songs in there do not get any airplay on greek radio and are not really known or popular by Greeks. But yeah I mean half of my arabic and italian lists have been covered by Greeks and the other half got crazy airplay in Greece (or Cyprus)

A.TOP 10 EUROVISION PERFORMANCES FROM THE '70sThe '70s was Eurovision's golden decade for many and in term of song quality, I tend to agree. There is still plenty of fun in watching an ESC but the performances of that decade were simply unbeatable. So here are my 10 favourite ESC performances from that decade. I was thinking to include it actually but then I thought that it's too funk and not pop enough for SAW. So it stayed out. It is great though yeah.jio CHARTS NOW:30/5/2023: https://www.ukmix.org/forum/chart-di...9#post11144329

I didn't know Anne Murray (she of the country music/ Christian ballads) made a hi-NRG/ disco record!
Hasselhoff recorded Who's Leaving Who? as well!
I like Hazell's song. Most of the rest of the SAW top ten are great - apart from the awful Jason Donovan (who never made ANY good solo songs) and the excruciatingly bad Big Fun. Davidson track is average.
Forgot about Boy Krazy - a US girlgroup that failed here - fairly average - sounds like Sonia!
I loved a few of Sam Fox and Sabrina's hits. Though Sabrina wins hands down in another department!
Sorry for not commenting on foreign language songs (especially as i voted for it) - there was a lot covered - may do so later when i have more time.
Same with ESC.

I think that's the only decent Jason song. Actually I was thinking to leave it out and include Roadblock or Dollar's Oh L'Amour instead (I prefer them both) but I figured that none of those have the SAW feel.
Anne Murray's (superior) version is not Hi-NRG, it's more pop/soft rock.
Sorry for not commenting? Come on man, you don't have to comment, I am enjoying doing this anywayjio CHARTS NOW:30/5/2023: https://www.ukmix.org/forum/chart-di...9#post11144329
