If I had to choose a song that would represent the sound of the 80's, I'd probably choose that Moderning Talking song.

    "Maniac" is also great.

And I hope Jody's coming in 1987. since you've included Shalamar in your list, lol.

I have only one addiction in my life:
It is my love to Heidi Range.
I really try to find something intresting for FSC. I don't want to steal countries of another participants. Not sure, but today best choice for me is parts of United Kingdom (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), maybe I try to push Charlotte Church's last single or album tracks from H & Claire in game.

    About Forum Song Contest.
    1. If I join in this game, that I would be worst judge in history of FSC, because anybody pretty pop blonde lady get my very high points.
    2. Choose song for me is impossible thing. Rules about UK top 40 and especially about popular artist exclude 95% of my favourite music. Next 5 % is Eurovision and cover versions, which also illegal.

Simples: Charlotte Church had flop with her last album and singles, but she had local UK success with single 'Crazy Chick' and album 'Tissues And Issues' in 2005. Both realises were #2.
Similar situation with Little Boots, Amy Macdonald.

Yeah, that song is so underrated. It's up there with the other classics as ABBA perfection to me (and I consider it better than many of their more well-known songs). I guess it flopped because it was too disco for 1982. Love it

Actually I was thinking about MCNL when I told you there might be Bucks Fizz for 1982 but then I heard this one (which I had never heard before) and I loved it. I now think it's their best song. Btw, I do understand why you like them, I think Steps were massive fans because they look and sound so much like Bucks Fizz lol. By the way, if you like Bucks Fizz and Steps, you should check out Dollar, they are very similar to them

There is no way you don't know the Joan Jett song. As for the others, you have to listen to them they are great and I am sure you will love Kim Wilde since you like Blondie and Madonna. It's very similar music, check her out

I don't know them at all but the song I am listening is euro-disco and not Hi-NRG. Hi-NRG is more 80s than 70s. Think more Modern Talking than Boney M., I don't know how to explain it without you listening to the songs. It has similarities with disco (lots) but it's not really disco

I don't know disco era well, but German pop group Arabesque is my favourite. Group was very popular in Soviet Union and Japan. They had 9 albums between 1978 and 1984.

Arabesque - In for a Penny In for a Pound

They are good choice for my next personal countdowns.

Never heard Nolans before. UK girlband!!! How I can miss it?
