Still not much movement at the top end of my chart, but with a host of new entries throughout my top 50 this week, there is hope of some new hits in the coming weeks. Harry Styles hangs on with "Golden", now ten weeks in my top 5 and 6 of those at the top, including the last 5. Michael Gray returns to his peak of no.2 for a third time with "The Sun" and Marina gets the first new top 5 hit of the year as "Mans World" moves up to no.5 to give her a fourth top 5 hit and first since "Froot" made no.4 back in 2014.

2 new entries manage to join the top 10, lead by Lola Lennox and her first chart entry "La La Love Me" at no.6. It's a 9th hit meanwhile for Riton at no.9 with "Friday", one of many takes on Nightcrawlers "Push The Feeling On" over the years, which has given us one of UKMix's most infamous topics. Vintage Culture also manage to shuffle up a place to no.8 this week with "It Is What It Is".

Celeste is the weeks highest climber as she moves up to no.11 with "Love Is Back", giving her debut album its third top 15 hit. The 7th chart entry for Fickle Friends is "IRL", at no.14 this week, it is outpeaked only by 2019's chart topping, "San Francisco"

Kokiri had top 10 hits in 2016 with "Harmony" (no.7) and 2015 with "Turn Back Time" (no.4), now get their third entry with "So Free" at no.16 which gives Jem Cooke her second entry as well as frequent entrant Todd Terry. Deadmau5 has had to wait 9 years to get his fourth appearance on my chart, in the form of "Channel 43", new at no.17, it's his first time in my top 20, outpeaking the 26 he made with "Ghosts n Stuff" in 2009". It also gives Wolfgang Gartner his third chart entry after also waiting 9 years, he had previously peaked in 2011 when "Forever" made no.23.

Room for one more in the top 20 and that is straight in at no.20 for Eva Shaw and "Don't Look Down". It follows the other no.20 peaking "U", 5 years ago, as well as 2015 chart topper "N2U".

In just a decade Inna has become one of the most frequent visitors to my chart, with a total of 38 chart entries now. It's taken a little while to get there, but her latest album finally gets it's first chart entry, and it's title track "Heartbreaker", at no.26. One place below at no.27, Sheffield band, The Warehouse Club get their debut entry, "Easy Tiger".

Mauro Picotto had a string of hits around the turn of the millennium but has made his return recently, making no.29 in 2019 with "All I Need Is Komodo" and no.12 last year with "Fly", now his latest, "Elisir Of Love" starts at no.32.

Following last years no.6 hit "You And Me", The Magician return with fourth entry, "One Vibration" at no.34.

Also this week, a fourth entry for Mike Mago after a four year gap, a third hit for Matissa and Sadko after 5 years away, an 18th entry for SeeB and a collaboration that gives Anton Powers his 9th entry, and Joe Stone his 10th.

Finally new stuff comes up to break up the top 5, but nothing can quite knock off Harry Styles who has a 7th week in total now with "Golden" at no.1. That equals the 7 weeks he spent at the top of my chart a year ago with "Treat People With Kindness", but falls a week short so far of the 8 weeks "Sign Of The Times" spent as my number one in 2017.

Lola Lennox is the biggest challenger this week as she moves up to no.2 with first charting single, "La La Love Me", and Celeste gets her highest peak so far as "Love Is Back" is now no.3. Also climbing into my top 5 is Riton, who's "Friday" is a third top 5 hit, following "Turn Me On", a no.3 in 2019 and "Deeper", a no.2 in 2017.

Scoring his biggest hit so far, Mauro Picotto is the weeks highest climber as "Elisir Of Love" shoots up to no.6 and continuing it's climb each week since it debuted at no.36 7 weeks ago, Gwen Stefani is now no.10 with "Let me Reintroduce Myself", her first top 10 since she topped my chart in 2014 with "Baby Don't Lie".

Eva Shaw and Fickle Friends push towards my top 10 this week, and they are joined by three top 20 new entries. First up, the weeks highest new entry, following the no.4 hit "Trouble Coming", Royal Blood pick up their second hit, "Typhoons" at no.13.

Xscape had a top 5 hit on my chart in 1998, when I first started my personal chart, "Arms Of The One Who Loves Me", then after writing chart toppers "No Scrubs" for TLC and "Bills Bills Bills", "Bug A Boo" and "Hey Ladies" for Destinys Child, amongst other big hits, lead singer, Kandi went on to have a run of top 10 hits on my chart at the turn of the century, with "Easier" and "What I'm Gonna Do To You" both reaching no.2 and her feature on LL Cool J's "Amazing" topping my chart. She last appeared in my chart in 2009 when "Fly Above" made no.45, now scoring her highest entry in close to 2 decades, "Used To Love Me" is new at no.14.

Another act who had a run of big hits around the same time, was soul singer, Musiq Soulchild, topping my chart with 2 duets, 2001's "Beautiful Contradiction" with Beverley Knight and 2013's "Feel The Fire" with Syleena Johnson. He is back at no.17 with his first entry in 6 years, "Nobody" credited to his new record label, Elder, featuring Musiq Soulchild.

Tony Junior made no.9 on my chart back in 2017 with "Voodoo", he follows that up this week with "Live Your Life" at no.22. The track is a collaboration with Steff Da Campo, for whom it is a third and biggest hit. All 3 of his have been much covered dance tracks, this one being a take on Belinda Carlisle's "Live Your Life Be Free".

Also this week, a 35th hit for Jason DeRulo, a 12th for Birdy, a 7th for Omi (I'm shocked by that myself!), third for Studio Killers, second for Lee Foss, 6th for Anabel Englund, Coldplay get a third hit from their latest album and Olivia Rodrigo makes her debut.

                    1 Pale Waves - Easy 1

I've been waiting for a week like this for all of 2021 so far, finally a week with loads of new entries, 20 in fact, I can't even remember when I last had that many. With so much going on, Harry Styles ends his 6 week stay at the top with a big fall to no.10. Not reflecting a suddenly drop in interest I've had in the song, but that there was finally plenty of competition this week.

Leading the pack is Pale Waves. "Easy" becomes their very first entry on my chart as it flies in at number one, while their concurrent hit "You Don't Own Me" also makes its debut at no.15. Riton equal the no.2 peak they made with "Deeper" as "Friday" moves up to no.2 and Mauro Picotto scores his biggest hit now as "Elisir Of Love" moves up to no.3

Scoring infrequent chart hits on my chart for more than a decade now, Mike Posner gets his 11th hit with "Momma Always Told Me" at no.4, now his highest position as lead artist on a song, though still behind his feature on Cher Lloyd's chart topping "With Ur Love". Masters At Work topped my chart back in 2007 on "Work", now one of their producers, Louie Vega gets his first credited hit at no.7 with "Let It Go", also giving Martinez Brothers their second hit after making no.3 with "No Fear" in 2017. The whole thing has been remixed by Vintage Culture who replace their other hit "It Is What It Is" in my top 10.

Jack Wins made no.2 last year with "We Are Diamonds", he gets his fourth entry this week, "Set Me Free", a second top 10 at no.8. Also getting their second top 10 this week, Fickle Friends are up to no.9 with "IRL". As Kandi and Royal Blood move closer to my top 10, they are joined by Elliphant at no.13 with "Could This Be Love?", her 6th entry in all, her bigger hits were on Yellow Claw's "Good Day", a 2017 no.12 and Major Lazers "Too Original", a 2015 no.2.

"Lies" is a 17th hit for MK this week as he debuts at no.14, both "Body 2 Body" and "Back & Forth" peaked at no.2. "Sad Songs" is new at no.22 for One Bit, their third entry, they peaked with "My Way", a no.4 in 2017. The 9th entry for Sam Feldt is "Stronger" at no.24. he peaked in 2017 when "Fade Away" made no.9, it also gives Ke$ha her 10th chart entry.

Also this week...debut hits for Isac Elliot, Punctual, ARTY, Smith & Burrows, Marc Benjamin, Anna Straker and Alexis Knox. Jazmine Sullivan gets her 20th hit, Rag N Bone Man has a third entry, Imelda May has a third and first in a decade, a fifth for SG Lewis, and an 18th entry for Afrojack.

                    • Nice to see Anna Straker pop her head in!

Enjoying the Mark Benjamin/Afrojack/Vula and SG Lewis/Nile new ones. I think Becky Hill co-write the former.

Nice slight change in direction for Rag‘n’Bone Man.

Great No. 1, 7, 8 and 14! Jack Wins loops a sample from Jaki Graham.

                          1 Pale Waves - Easy 1 1

Pale Waves may have a very retro sound to them as they hold on to my no.1 for a second week, but you could be forgiven for thinking we were back to the 90s with Fred Falke, Nightcrawlers, Mauro Picotto and Louie Vega holding the rest of my top 5. Leading them at no, the highest new entry of the week is "Make Me Feel" by Fred Falke. Last in my chart in 2016 when his remix of Jake Bugg's "Bitter Salt" made no.31, this new entry comes 21 years after he made his debut on my chart with "Intro". The new single features Macy Gray, she topped my chart in 2001 with "Hey Young World" and a feature on Common's "Getto Heaven" and again in 2003 on "When I See You". Her last appearance came in 2017 when "White Man" made no.27, but this is her first top 10 hit since "Lately" made no.6 back in 2010.

As well as Louie Vega, Jack Wins and Fickle Friends all reaching new top 10 peaks, they are joined by Royal Blood who this week get their second top 10 as "Typhoons" moves up to no.9. The highest climber of the week is SG Lewis who is now no.14 with "One More" to give him his third top 20 hit, while Nile Rodgers gets his 7th after a three year absence.

Mark Morrison was kind of wrapping up his chart career as my personal chart began in 1998, though he did manage a top 5 hit with "Best Friend" in 1999. His best known hit, "Return Of The Mack" is the gift that keeps on giving with regular remixes and samples coming frequently over the years, 2 of which are new entries on my chart this week. Leading them is G-Eazy and his 6th entry, "Provide" at no.17, he peaked in 2016 when "Me, Myself & I" made no.12. The other being a new remix of the original at no.25, giving Bad Royale their third and highest entry so far.

9 years after making her chart debut with "Running", Jessie Ware gets her 22nd chart entry with "Remember where You Are" at no.22, now the 7th entry from her latest album. TCTS made no.13 with "Do It like Me" in 2017, their third entry, "Without You" is new at no.24 this week, it also gives Boston Bun their second entry and vocalist, Andrea Martin her fourth. She peaked in 2017 when providing vocals on Toddla T's no.2 "Blackjack21".

Lion Babe's 7th entry is "Native New Yorker" at no.34, they peaked with "Where Do We Go?" a no.2 in 2015. Also this week, a first entry for VanJess, while legendary R&B diva, Adeva gets her first entry too. Fefe Dobson charts for the first time in 15 years, and former chart toppers, Idris Elba gets a second hit and Philip George a 5th.

                                  1 Pale Waves - Easy 1 1 1

On top for a third week is Pale Waves and "Easy", while their concurrent hit "You Don't Own Me" is also moving closer to my top 10 at no.12. Mostly the old codgers of house fill the rest of my top 5 again, only this week joined by Rag N Bone Man who moves up to no.5 to make "All You Ever Wanted" his second top 5 hit, after "Giant" made no.2 in 2019.

The weeks highest new entry starts Eurovision season, and it's Albina and "Tick Tock" at no.7. Despite last years cancellation, 22 songs still managed to reach my top 50 last year. We start with this years first 2. Albina represents Croatia and already makes this their highest position on my chart, beating out Jacques Houdek's "My Friend" which made no.8 back in 2017. The other Eurovision entry this week is Benny Cristo's "Omaga" at no.36, the Czech entry follows Benny's "Kemama" last year which made no.23.

SG Lewis has his third top 10 as "One More" moves up to no.8. Birdy gets her 14th hit this week and 11th to go top 20 as "Loneliness" is new at no.16. She peaked with "Keeping Your Head Up" in 2016 and "Let It All Go" in 2015, which both made no.2.

Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation" has been a constant song to borrow from across the years with many variations hitting my chart, including her own 2006 remix which topped my chart, this week The Bamboo's get their first entry with a soulful version of the Black Box song "Ride on Time" which borrows heavily from Loleatta's original and starts at no.17 this week.

Gryffin had three back to back top 10 hits in 2019, peaking with "Need Your Love", which made no.4. His 7th entry is "I Want Love", which is new at no.22. Christian Pop is not usually my go to genre of choice, the only other song I remember making my chart was Delirious' "History Maker", which made no.41 in 2010. This week Rend Collective outpeak that with the encouraging "Year Of Victory" at no.27.

MistaJam made no.44 in 2019 with "Ultimatum", he follows that up this week with "Good" at no.31. It gives rent-a-vocalist, Kelli-Leigh her 11th entry. She topped my chart on Duke Dumont's "I Got U" in 2013.

"Loving Touch" is a third hit for Burns at no.32, who made no.6 with "Hands on Me" in 2018. The Beatchuggers had a top 5 hit in 2000 with "How Many Times?" that gets the remix treatment this week and is back at no.33.

Finally, this week "The Void" is a third hit for Lee Foss, and 8th for Ferreck Dawn and a second for Alex Mills.
