1 Lady Blackbird - Feel It Comin 1 2
Well I didn't know which order the top 4 were going to fall this week, but in the end it was Lady Blackbird who climbed to get her first no.1 on my chart with "Feel It Comin" while her "Woman" remains at no.3. Sandwiched between them, the weeks highest new entry, and potentially the first top 10 Eurovision song of the season. "Tattoo" is the 7th hit in all for Loreen, both her previous Eurovision efforts made it all the way to the top, "Euphoria", which won the competition in 2012 and "Statements" which stayed in Sweden in 2017. Will "Tattoo" continue the trend and make it to the top?
Riton now has a fourth top 5 hit as "Sugar" climbs to no.5. It is actually the 7th song with that title to make my chart, with Flo Rida's "Sugar" topping my chart in 2009. The 13th hit for Sub Focus is his 5th top 10, "Vibration (One More Time)", new at no.7. He topped my chart with "Turn Back Time" in 2013.
Whitney Houston topped my chart four times, with "When You Believe" (1998), "Heartbreak Hotel" (2000), "If I Told You That" (2000) and "I Will Always Love You (Hex Hector Remix)" (2000). This week, "He Can Use Me" makes its debut at no.23, her first entry since Pentatonix brought out a new version of "Do You Hear What I Hear" with her, making no.12 in 2019 and the first track solely credited to Whit since "Million Dollar Bill" made no.4 in 2009. Todd Terry continues his recent run of hits with "Fly Like An Eagle" making its debut at no.24 while "True Love Ways" belatedly becomes the fourth hit for Now United at no.33. They peaked in 2021 when "Nobody Like Us" made no.9.
There are two more Eurovision songs making a small splash this week, Denmarks Reiley and France's La Zarra taking us up to 6 so far, a slow start. Also this week, a third hit for Blessed Madonna and Chvrches get their ninth entry. Their biggest hit to date is "Get Out" which made no.7 in 2018, but none of their other 8 entries have gone any higher than no.35!THIS WEEKS TOP 5

1 Loreen - Tattoo 1 2
So we go from no ESC songs in my top 10 so far this year last week, to having three in there this week. One of them was actually at no.2 last week, but as it's only just been confirmed for Eurovision, Loreen climbing to the top with "Tattoo", is the years first Eurovision chart topper and the 20th from the competition to top my chart over all, starting with Jessica Garlick's "Come Back" in 2002, the last 3 years have each seen one chart topper, with Polands Ochman getting there with "River" last year, San Marino's Senhit with "Adrenalina" in 2021 and Victoria's "Tears Getting Sober" in the 2020 cancelled contest. The last year that didn't provide a no.1 was 2015 which had 3 no.2s. As mentioned last week, this also marks the third no.1 for Loreen who also got there with winning, "Euphoria" in 2012 and "Statements" in 2017, which stayed in the National final.
The other two new comers to the top 10 this year are Austria's TeYa & Salena at no.4, "Who The hell Is Edgar?" matches the peak Austria made with Nathan Trents "Running on Air" in 2017. Also the UK's Mae Muller is straight in at no.6 with "I Wrote A Song", it marks the first time the UK has made my top 10 since 2015 when Electro Velvet were one of those aforementioned no.2s with "I'm Still In Love With You".
Mae Muller gets both her first and second entry to my chart this week as she is also on the weeks highest new entry, "Feels This Good" at no.2, this giving a 25th appearance for Sigala, who managed my top 10 on 18 of those occasions. With all this going on, there is still room for a fourth entry to my top 10, and there's a little Eurovision link here too as Birdy's "Raincatchers" was rumoured to be the UK entry at the start of the week, instead it's just her 17th hit and 6th top 10 as it enters at no.9. She got her first chart topper in 2021 with "Loneliness".
Just outside the top 10 at no.11, Oliver Tree finally gets his first chart entry as "Here We Go Again" enters and brings David Guetta in who adds to a plethora of top 20 hits, in recent years he's had a top 20 hit in nearly every year and last went higher when "redruM" made no.2 last year. Leland gets a first hit with "Bad At Letting Go" at no.16 with "Bad At Letting Go", also providing a fourth hit to Muna, they made no.9 with "Number One Fan" in 2019. The 6th hit for Gabry Ponte is "Dance Dance", new at no.17, he peaked at no.7 last year with Sigala on "Rely On Me". There are 8 top 20 new entries this week, and the last of the is the second hit for Leftwing:Kody, "Love Like This" at no.20, previous hit, "Sensation" made no.43 last year. At no.25, "Shadow" is the 7th hit for Sonny Fodera and second for Lewis Thompson. And finally down at no.48, "Big Jet Plane" is the 7th hit for Alok.THIS WEEKS TOP 5

1 Zara Larsson - Can’t Tame Her 1
After four top 10 new entries last week, another 3 hit my top 5 this week and on top of them all, the 15th hit for Zara Larsson and second no.1, "Can't Tame Her". It follows 2019's "Don't Worry About Me" and is her 8th top 10 in total. Other big ones are "Ruin My Life" and "Symphony" which both made no.2 and the no.5 "Lush Life". Four time chart toppers, pnau get a 16th hit with "The Hard Way" at no.3 giving them a 12th top 5 hit now and first since "Cold Heart" made no.3 in 2021. He's been around for some time now, but it also brings singer, Khalid with his very first entry on my chart.
Rounding out the top 5, 6 time chart topper, Calvin Harris and two time chart topper, Ellie Goulding with "Miracle" at no.5. It marks the third time they have worked together with "I Need Your Love" making no.17 in 2012 and "Outside" hitting no.33 in 2014. Birdy improves on last week as "Raincatchers" is up at no.6 while Oliver Tree now has a top 10 hit on his hands as "Here We Go Again" is up at no.10.
There is a handful more new Eurovision songs entering this week, in the week that we found out the full collection of 37 entries for 2023. Now up to 12 chart entries so far this year, while Sweden (no.2), Austria (no.8) and UK (no.9) are still top 10, albeit all falling, the new ones this week are lead by Georgia's Iru who is new at no.15 with "Echo", it is the countries highest appearance on my chart since Sopho made my top 10 in 2007 with "Visionary Dream". Fan favourite this year, Finland are new at no.26 with "Cha Cha Cha", Finland topped my chart in both 2016 and 2018 with Sandjha's "Sing It Away" and Saara Aalto's "Monsters". And Iceland see Dilja enter at no.34 with "Power". It marks the 5th year in a row that Iceland have entered my personal chart peaking with Hatari who made no.12 in 2019. Meanwhile Duncan Laurence who made no.7 with Eurovision winning song, "Arcade" in 2019 gets his third entry with "Skyboy" at no.27.
Karen Harding gets her 21st chart entry this week as "Back To You" enters at no.19, she peaked last year when "Other Side Of Love" made no.7. Miley didn't make my chart with her UK no.1, "Flowers", but she does return this week with "River" at no.25, giving her a 17th hit in all, she topped my chart in 2009 with "Party In The USA" and in 2020 on "Midnight Sky".
3 time chart toppers, SeeB are back at no.28 with "Submarine" and The Ramona Flowers follow up last years no.17 "Up All Night" with "Hey You" at no.43.THIS WEEKS TOP 5

good to see Birdy & Lady Blackbird in your top 10 + of course all the Eurovision entries, it's not my favorite year so far but several songs are growing on meNe me cherche pas, je ne suis plus là, baby

1 Zara Larsson - Can’t Tame Her 1 1
It's a second week on top for Zara Larsson and "Can't Tame Her", while pnau and Birdy are both up at no.2 and no.3, pnau's third song to peak at no.2 following "Lil Love" and "River", for Birdy its now a fourth top 3 hit. Tori Kelly gets her third and by far biggest hit at no.7 with "Missin U", she previously peaked at no.22 in 2015 with "Should've Been Us", while her only other appearance, a feature on a remake of Amy Grant's "Baby Baby", a no.40 in 2016. "Here We Go Again" continues to climb, now at no.8.
While my Eurovision front runners from Loreen and TeYa & Salena are slowly drifting, they're being up by Finlands Käärijä and Georgias Iru who move to no.11 and no.12. Just ahead of "Used To Be", new at no.13, the third hit for Welshy who made no.5 with "All Day" last year and the 6th hit for Shane Codd who topped my chart in 2021 with "It Ain't Right".
Mimi Webb made no.26 with "Ghost Of You" last year and now follows it up with "Freezing", new at no.18. It was rumoured to be this years UK ESC entry at one point along with Birdy's "Raincatchers", both currently in my top 20 along with the actual entry from Mae Muller. "All My Lovin" was a first no.1 last year for Redondo. Their 13th entry now comes at no.19 as "Let's Go", equalling the peak of "Love Too Deep", which now becomes a joint second highest peak for them.
Faithless's Sister Bliss gets her first chart entry in over two decades as "Life Is A Melody" enters at no.28 and MistaJam has a third and biggest hit to date as "Nothing Else Matters" enters at no.29, he previously peaked in 2021 when "Good" made no.31. Not many weeks usually pass without an Inna entry, her 49th comes this week as "My Crystal Nails" enters at no.31.
Also this week, a 13th entry for Snakehips (and second for Tkay Maidza) and fourth for Regard (and 16th for Ella Henderson).THIS WEEKS TOP 5

1 Zara Larsson - Can’t Tame Her 1 1 1
I just can't tame her! Zara Larsson has a third week now on top of a static top 4 with "Can't Tame Her". They are joined in the top 5 by highest new entry, "Candle Flame" by Jungle at no.5. It equals the peak they made with "Romeo" in 2021 and is their 5th entry in all. Tori Kelly and Olive Tree both climb to 6 and 7, while there are no more Eurovision entries this week, Finlands Käärijä is the fourth of this years entries to make my top 10 as "Cha Cha Cha" moves up to no.10.
Becky G made no.5 on Kideko's "Dum Dum" in 2017, this week she gets her first top 10 as lead artist as "Arranca" is new at no.9. Her 9th hit in all.
Hailee Steinfeld topped my chart with "Capital Letters" in 2018 and then "Coast" last year, her 11th entry, "SunKissing" is straight in at no.11 this week. Between 2002-2010, Sophie Ellis-Bextor scored 12 number ones on my chart, this week she's back with "Everything Is Sweet" at no.12, though not quite top 10 yet, it is her highest position since 2010 chart topper, "Bittersweet".
My chart started just a little to late (1998) to have 90s act, Freak Power in it, so their comeback, "Move On Up (F9 Mix)" is their first entry at no.13. Billy Porters third entry, "Baby Was A Dancer" is new at no.17 which equals the peak he made last year on "Stranger Things". "Fly Girl" is the fourth entry for FLO at no.22, they topped my chart last year on "Not My Job", it takes its inspiration from Missy Elliott's "Work It" which made no.3 on my chart in 2002, so not one of the 35 number ones she's had so far on my chart!
Alex Adair peaked in 2015 when "Heaven" made no.3 and "Make Me Feel Better" made no.5, "Loved Ones" is now his 10th entry as it starts at no.25. Scissor Sisters peaked in 2012 when "Shady Love" topped my chart. This week, lead singer, Jake Shears gets his first entry away from the band with "Devil Came Down The Dance Floor" at no.28.
The biggest hit for Studio Killers so far is "All Men Are Pigs" which made no.7 in 2013, their 5th hit comes this week and its already their second biggest, "Underneath My Raincoat" new at no.29. "Forever And A Day" is the biggest hit so far for LP Giobbi, reaching no.3 last year. Her 5th hit is "If Love Is A Skill" and is new at no.33.
Also this week, a second hit for Astrid S, Tom Aspaul gets his fourth entry, Aluna gets her 4th and TSHA gets a second.THIS WEEKS TOP 5

3 Jungle - Candle Flame 3 5
2 pnau & Khalid - The Hard Way 2 2 2 3
1 Zara Larsson - Can’t Tame Her 1 1 1 1
A little premature this week due to me being busy this weekend, but it's a fourth week on top for Zara Larsson and a third in runner up position for pnau. Jungle now have a first ever top 3 hit as "Candle Flame" moves up to no.3. The weeks highest new entry is "If You Go Down" for Kelsea Ballerini art no.8, her third hit, and by far biggest as "Peter Pan" made no.40 in 2016 and "Miss Me More (Summer Mix)" no.41 in 2019. Hailee Steinfeld has a fourth top 10 hit as "SunKissing" moves up to no.10.
Finlands Käärijä now has the biggest Eurovision hit on my chart as "Cha Cha Cha" continues to climb at no.6. After no new ones last week, 5 Eurovision songs enter my chart this week, bringing this years total up to 17 so far this year. Leading those is San Marino's Piqued Jacks and "Like An Animal" at no.30. It is the fourth time the country has made my chart, with the biggest of course being 2021 chart topper, "Adrenalina" for Senhit. Portugals Mimicat is next at no.31 with "Ai Coração", Portugal failed to ever make my chart, but has now had 3 consecutive charting hit as this follows 2021's "Love Is On My Side" by The Black Mamba (no.46) and last years "Saudade Saudade" for Maro (no.8). Malta's The Busker are new at no.36 with "Dance (Our Own Party)", Israels Noa Kirel is in at no.46 with "Unicorn" and Croatia's Let 3 finally sneak in at no.50 with "Mama Sc". The first song to only make no.50 on my chart since King Princess with "Too Bad" last Summer.
There are other new entries this week though and leading those is Kuu and "Lose Control", the second and by far biggest hit so far from the project as it enters at no.14, it gives Alex Metric his fourth and biggest hit, Riton a 14th hit and Shungudzo a fourth. "Substitution" is new at no.16 to give Purple Disco Machine a 15th entry and Kungs a 9th. Klingande had back to back top 10 hits with "By Law" and "Planet in The Sky" last year, they're not quite there this time but "Kids On The Run" is a 10th hit at no.17. The 5th and biggest hit from Armin Van Buurens latest album, Feel Again is "On & On" at no.31, it also gives Punctual a 5th entry and Alika a fourth.THIS WEEKS TOP 5

30 Piqued Jacks - Like An Animal 30
Piqued Jacks' song started to slowly click with me. Mimicat one is uncharacteristically lively and upbeat for a recent Portuguese entry - I am a sucker for their melancholy.Waffles are checked cookies

Very nice to see Kelsea debut in your Top 10! Also digging the new entries for Mimicat, PDM and Busker. 'Like An Animal' is actually not as bad as the fandom says but some of the lyrics (especially in the chorus) are a bit..odd I guessNe me cherche pas, je ne suis plus là, baby

Last weeks chart, as usual after 10 days away, it's the songs from my holiday having the biggest impact here. After three weeks in runner up position, pnau switches places with Zara Larsson to pick up a 5th chart topper with "The Hard Way", it follows "Good Morning To The Night" (2012), "Go Bang" (2017), "Solid Gold" (2019) and "Lucky" (2020). Freak Power make a big climb to no.4 with "Move on Up" which sees Freemasons (F9) in my top 5 for the first time since "True Love Survivor" made no.3 in 2015. The weeks highest new entry is "Baby Don't Hurt Me" for David Guetta, he is in my top 5 for an 18th time, while Anne-Marie is in my top 5 for a fourth time, the first since 2018 when she topped my chart with Rudimental on "Let Me Live". It's the first entry for Coi Leray.
Becky G is now up to no.6 with "Arranca", so far only outperformed since the no.5 "Dum Dum" with Kideko in 2017. Klingande made no.9 with "Planet In The Sky" and no.8 with "By Law" both last year, now they go one further still as "Kids On The Run" moves up to no.7. Hailee Steinfeld also climbs one more place to take "SunKissing" to no.9.
Other top 20 climbs pushing towards my top 10 are from Purple Disco Machine, Leland, LP Giobbi and Jake Shears. Last weeks highest new one from Kelsea Ballerini, "If You Go Down (I'm Going Down Too)" falls to no.16 after I banned it from my playlist as it came on as my plane was trying to land.
Mahalia has an 8th hit, all of which have gone top 30 as "Terms & Conditions" debuts as no.24, she peaked with "Simmer", a no.2 in 2019. The 17th hit for John Newman is "Hold On To My Love" at no.28, he peaked at no.1 on debut in 2012 on "Feel The Love" with Rudimental, but has other solo top 10 hits with "Feelings" (no.2) and "A.N.I.M.A.L." (no.6).
Layo & Bushwackas classic "Finally (Love Story)" returns this week at no.33 thanks to a new Paul Woolford remix, the Jonas Brothers get a third entry and Dana International a second, 25 years after her first.THIS WEEKS TOP 5
