1 12 Taylor Swift - Eyes Open AUDIO (2 weeks; PEAK)
Beating her only other big hit on my chart - (#11 hit Fifteen) - quite definitively! It's not actually in the film at all. Three songs are on the end credits that i sat through - Arcade Fire's Abraham's Daughter, Safe and Sound and The Civil Wars' Kingdom Come. The "soundtrack" is one of those "inspired by"/ "companion album"s or in this case "Songs from District 12 and Beyond". Decent set, though. Fantastic film.

        2 1 Chairlift - Met Before (11 weeks; peak #1)
        3 2 Jessie Ware - Running (6 weeks; peak #1)
        4 4 Marina and The Diamonds - Homewrecker [6 weeks; peak #4)
        5 5 Marina and The Diamonds - Primadonna (6 weeks; peak #5)
6 53 A Place To Bury Strangers - Onwards To The Wall (EP) Drill It Up AUDIO (9 weeks; PEAK)
        HIGHEST CLIMBER
Got the CD - Drill It Up being the track that has propelled it this high.

UK (and worldwide) release at last!

        12 30 Gotye - Heart's A Mess (2 weeks; PEAK)
His biggest hit so far, i think he should go back to this album after Making Mirrors' promotion and push this song.

I like these ones the most!! Taylor Swift releases a good song shock!! (well I've never liked any of her previous songs I've heard)

Coldplay's song is good, but there is better single material they could have gone for off the album
                        RIP The Queen Of Disco

                                      Lots of nice tunes here.
Haven't heard every song, but from what i'm familiar with i like:
6 7 Florence and The Machine - Never Let Me Go
31 30 Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans

21 RE Ladyhawke - Sunday Drive
Maybe not such a bad song as you defined, but i'm a little bit disapponted too. "Black White & Blue" was a great song, but the follow up doesn't quite fit Ladyhawke's high standard, i suppose.
I'm looking for "TOP POPS/MUSIC NOW" and "MERSEYBEAT / MUSIC ECHO" Charts to complete my 60's singles charts collection.

Having little replies is a good sign in my opinion, means your taste is too expansive for many to handle.

Woo for the Paul Buchanan entries, his voice is just gorgeous.

I see that this just missed the top ten in the UK - it's a little baffling that no physical singles apparently accompanied the download option (for me, not an option). Seven-inch vinyl and CD singles of previous releases have helped them to similar top twenty peaks in the past - this time, they might have made all the difference between a number 11 and number 10 entry.....

The CD was an HMV exclusive - though orders took several days to reach customers. It DID make A difference - it only peaked at 12 on iTunes and was #9 in first mids because of pre-ordered singles.

The CD was an HMV exclusive
Ah! I never knew about that. Oddly enough, I was in the nearest HMV today.....and, after searching around a little, I consulted a member of staff - who indicated that they no longer stocked CD singles in the store. :x

I've just ordered one through the HMV website - it's saying "usually dispatched in 3 to 6 days", so I hope that doesn't translate as "sold out / there's no way we're ever going to let you have this item at that price".....

Still no seven-inch single that I can see anywhere this time, unfortunately!
