    • Wye Oak song actually features the Brooklyn Youth Chorus (credited on the single/grat) and was performed live last year

I think the new Flock Of Dimes song is probably better, though.

      • Wow, she’s really done it with this album!

I need to listen to new Declan McKenna.

        • Jessie Ware album was pretty good - expected the domination this week! Polly Scattergood album disappointed me a bit - though just realised Jessie Frye album has landed so that's one to listen to this week!

it's still the same song, LOL - you know I always thought your chart rules are bizarre

We would share the same #1 if I was up-to-date with my list. It is still in progress....

Good to see Arca charting, although, I thought it would chart much higher

Yes, Polly lives up to her name with this album - the good bits are scattered! But i knew that from the inconsistent positions she had on my Hits chart.

OMG! Bill and Kuba are both back on my feed. Is this real?

I'm not listening to the single version of Spotlight and i'm only charting singles or videos that act as singles. Save A Kiss is still very high, i'm still watching the video and it's only a few seconds shorter than the album version so it's pretty much the same. All of Hatchie's singles are full length album versions so they are easy to rechart.

Why isn't this getting all the love Blackpink and the boygroups get? It's like Dua Lipa's 80s synthpop stab but in Korean.
                  30 10 Hatchie - Her Own Heart (14 weeks; peak #2)
31 NE Big Black Delta - Vessel

32 NE Big Black Delta - Canary

You may know BBD's thumper Huggin and Kissin which The Sinner used as an important plot point for the first season. These are from the new album...

37 NE Kygo and Kim Petras - Broken Glass

His 1st entry for me. Pity he spoiled the video release by releasing an awful Tina Turner remix a week later - which has shot up iTunes chart. BG should be getting his full attention, not lazy mixes.

                  39 12 Hatchie - Without A Blush (19 weeks; peak #2)

                  • Cam - very good, I will add this song in my chart after the release of official video clip.
My celebrity crushes : Monika Sedziuviene, Kristina Ivanova (YVA).
In my head I like to imagine LastDreamer in the land of Lithuania right now with a suitcase of simcards, a box of chocolates and a wedding ring. It would be a great base for an epic Eurovision fan fiction.

Yes - unlike I Am King which is an absolute mess.

Quite like that Black Cherry track too. Nice to see the Kygo one chart - I charted that a while back.

                            • TONY'S HITS CHART: 25th JULY 2020

                              1 1 Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure? (5 weeks; peak #1) 5 WEEKS TOP!

Actual proper Jessie starring video! Sadly the single edit is about 30 seconds too short and ends too abruptly but at least we have 2 videos to alternate between. Haven forum (hello!) will now all suddenly join in by voting this for the Combi Chart - already top of UKMix Parade for 2 weeks.
2 NE ARO - Shared Something With The Night

Aimee Rose Osbourne returns! And this time she brings a rock influence to her alt-pop - guess the family trait had to come out eventually!
                              3 2 Jessie Ware - The Kill (2 weeks; peak #2)
                              4 3 Jessie Frye - Ocean (3 weeks; peak #3)
5 NE Taylor Swift - Cardigan

Lush is the only word that can be used for this video and song. Composed with The National's Aaron Dessner and featuring Bryce Dessner. Surprise album Folklore will of course chart next week.
6 5 Jessie Ware - Step Into My Life (3 weeks; peak #3)
                              7 6 Jessie Ware - In Your Eyes (3 weeks; peak #4)

9 NE Kylie - Say Something

Back to what she does best and ensuring the top ten has even more disco-pop.

                              • 2 NE ARO - Shared Something With The Night - this one popped up a few hours ago, a really decent new release, got to enter my chart
41 NE Annie - The Bomb - why does the instrumental remind me of t.A.T.u. a bit?
43 NE Lights and Myth - Batshit - Lights trying to find her way through the EDM pipeline, with mixed results imo (but as a shopping mall filler music it is top tier)
47 NE Katie Melua - Airtime - something more folksy by Katie this time, not bad actually, the cinematic music video lifts it up

18 NE Lanterns On The Lake - Spook The Herd - I actually gave this one a listen a while ago, sounds like something I've heard several times before, my initial thought was "huh, middle of the road?"

                                • New Kylie & Little Mix both great- glad to see Kylie return to disco-pop.

Need to listen a little more to the Taylor one - didn't leave much of an initial impression... though suspect its a grower.

37 NE Tate McRae - You Broke Me First

YouTube hit that broke OCC top 100 just now. She's quite affecting.
                                      38 NE Hurts - Somebody

Redeemed after that farcicly serious/dull single from the other week (a real nadir for them), they quickly follow it with this livelier song - the video is just bonkers!! I think they're trying to steal the Most Pretentious Music Act award from LDR!
39 NE Wye Oak with Brooklyn Youth Chorus - Spitting Image

40 NE Shlohmo - Looking At Plants

2 Brit artists team up. If you like Ms Eilish...
42 NE Billie Eilish - My Future

And here she is herself. Radio 1 jumped on it for the youth and put it straight to the top of the A List - but it sounds like a jazz throwback to the 40s and 50s! Meanwhile they'll ignore more modern pop just because the name doesn't fit. This is only her 2nd Tony hit after Everything I Wanted - both being ballads.
43 NE Kate Rusby - Shake It Off

Yes, it's THAT one! Her second song from her upcoming covers album to chart. Purely coincidental that Swift released a folk-tinged album.
                                      44 43 Lights and Myth - Batshit (2 weeks; peak #43)

49 NE Tim Arnold - Nothing On Earth

A true rock / alt album. I've ordered one of the CD's so it could yet climb.

Ordered the CD of this, too!
9 NE Flock Of Dimes - Like So Much Desire (MA) SPOTIFY
I hadn't realised she'd released a 5 song set and not just the title track. Much better than the Wye Oak mini album which will chart next week.
                                      10 7 Samantha Crain - A Small Death (2 weeks; peak #7)

                                      • 25 NE Zella Day - Only A Dream - nice and appropriately styled (music video-wise) for the late summer/early autumn season
40 NE Shlohmo - Looking At Plants - fun, I gotta chart this
42 NE Billie Eilish - My Future - it's cute, but her vocal just isn't up to the dream pop shaky/trembling standard imo, it's full mumble pop at this point

                                        ALBUMS
2 NE Taylor Swift - Folklore - I had a go at it because of the lyric videos that have been uploaded on youtube, but it's really lukewarm and sorta "been there, done that" to me, she probably should have gone darkwave/coldwave to impress me
13 NE The Naked and Famous - Recover - despite the lacklustre overall impression it left on me, the "singles" haven't been too bad ("Sunseeker" has grown on me significantly)

                                        • I've just read how The Naked and Famous album has bombed in New Zealand. It's only 19 on the local artist chart. Their last 3 albums were all top 15 there.
It gets by because of the emotion on display.

You are right, the vocal does translate the emotion well.
I've softened my opinion of "my future", but found myself in a very weird place since Victoria (Bulgarian ESC 2020 representative) kept being piled on because the song sounded "like Billie Eilish". Whilst the criticism was legitimate, "my future" sounds closer to "Tears Getting Sober" than any other Billie Eilish single, as if Victoria managed to predict it.

                                            • Black Honey is great - Hurts is OK - Nowhere near as good as Redemption for me!

Billness Eilish song OK and Taylor album a pleasant surprise.

                                              • Hurts have gone slowly downhill since Voices, I loved that one but everything else has been sub-par.

Billie's new one reminds me of Lighthouse Family

Jessie can't be toppled! She climbs again this week for me.

Taylor Swift isn't the only female artist Aaron Dessner has been working with. This has the same kind of vibe though a bit spikier - album in September.

Another Hanna (without an "h")! She tried to get into Eurovision for Sweden but this tune and vid are much better than that song. Sizzling!

Spanish female indie punk group - damn shame there's no video for this earlier single, they are indeed curvy and proud!

29 43 Kate Rusby - Shake It Off (2 weeks; PEAK)

I wasn't going to chart this but i found out that it was sent to US radio a week after Cardigan so it qualifies. I'm ruling out the country radio song Betty, though.
                                                  31 22 Future Islands - For Sure (5 weeks; peak #12)

Didn't notice - she's clearly not shouting as much now.
I actually think Fat Ass is less of a mess than Sit On My Face - it's more of a pop melody.
