Well, since I skipped them, I can’t really judge. Okay, I played the re-issue, and from what I remember I actually enjoyed it more than I thought. There’s something like a battle tree (?) at the end iirc and I loved that. But apart from that, I barely remember something about that Generation, not even many Pokémon. I only remember which starter I had and that my favorite Pokémon was Sawsbuck… But to come back to what you said, I completely get you with being connected to the team or not and how it affects the journey.

Hmm… Kalos definitely has some nice places to offer, especially the autumnal routes you mentioned, but other than that, I never liked it that much, especially the cities… Alola is sooo much better. I enjoy these small routes and that island vibe, however I wouldn’t mind if we’ll be back to an usual world in the next game, with all the varieties.

Oh no, sorry, It wasn’t meant that way. Also sorry if my comment seemed kinda aggressive or so, reading it now it could have sound a bit nicer That may be true, however, I just realized that I’m not feeling it as much as I used to do, and I don’t even mean USUM, but Pokémon overall. I played a little bit yesterday and lost the interest after less than 30 minutes, so no surprise I’m not faster playing it. But that already happened to S/M and to Pokémon Tekken as well. How many hours have you already played USUM? A new content would have been awesome. Something like a new island or so.
Ah, the White Treehollow/Weiße Baumhöhle! That was a pretty great concept for more challenging post-game battles that still award EXP too (unlike the Battle Maison or Battle Tree.) On that note, B2W2 seem like the last games where most fans were genuinely pleased with the variety of post-game material. Sawsbuck is a quality choice - I love the look of most of its seasonal forms! Shame that it wasn't included in the Kalos or Alola Dexes (though I wonder if that's because its seasonal gimmick wouldn't work anymore...)

Aw, I really liked a lot of the cities in Kalos, and I was definitely bummed when I first learned that Alola didn't have any that felt as expansive as Lumiose or the re-designed Mauville in ORAS (though I get how a greater focus on nature/the wild is more fitting for Alola than having a bunch of sprawling cities. I do love Malie/Malihe, though!)

Ha, noooo worries! I don't think I've EVER seen you come across as aggressive here! Bummer that Pokémon (in general) hasn't felt as appealing for you lately, though. Maybe I should stop rambling about it so much in every one of my posts here Admittedly, as we grow older, the kid-friendly nature of the games can make it tougher to enjoy without imposing any extra rules/restrictions to increase the difficulty a bit during the main story. The games also feel more kid-FOCUSED than ever before, as opposed to just kid-friendly, with stuff like the Rotom Dex constantly offering really basic advice and talking to us like we're a little kid, NPCs emphasizing how our character is exactly 11 years old, adding the effectiveness of every attack right under the attack's name so we don't have to memorize the type chart, etc. That said, I've still put more than 80 hours into Ultra Sun already Some of that has gone into long SOS Battles, where I've been waiting for Pokémon to call an ally that's only available to catch that way, like Mareanie/Garstella and Goomy/Viscora. I've also spent at least a little time trying out most of the bonus features (like Mantine Surfing, the Alola Photo Club, my Festival Plaza rank is something like 36, I'm Grade 3 or 4 at the Battle Agency, etc.)

Thanks, sweet of you <3 and don’t worry, there are no plans of doing so, and it wouldn’t be worth it
**Nod** Absolutely. The idea of forcing an awkward/uncomfortable friendship just for the sake of demonstrating your maturity doesn't seem that mature at all, really Recognizing the realities of the situation and proceeding accordingly makes much more sense.

I’m still baffled how messy her era started, I mean, it’s Taylor. Anyways, glad you like my vision for the rest of the era. The more time passes by, the less fan I am of “End Game” being the next single, so here’s hope the follow-up will be a better choice.
Ha, yeah, though I think the fact that the beat is so jarring (and that she's basically rapping in the verses) makes it kind of a perfect opener for the album - letting us know right away that this isn't 1989 anymore!

Aw, maybe the "End Game" video could finally help improve your opinion at least a bit...? Well, unless they just quickly move onto something else again It fell from No. 39 -> No. 49 on the latest Hot 100, and it's currently No. 46 on US iTunes, so who knows. Some of that's due to holiday songs seeing gains, but still...

Oh, for sure - I think that's a "to do" list where I'll never feel TRULY caught up. I've been focusing on Charli's Pop 2 lately, but there's still Beautiful Trauma (which I've heard most of at least once, between Jake's chart and my bf playing it, but still haven't actually added it to my Library), Little Mix's Get Weird, more of Mabel's material, Wildfire, a lot of K-Pop acts whose singles I've liked but I never dove into their full albums...

Now all I want is “Strangers” to be the next single and another hit for her, then I’m sooo happy (well, would have been happier with one or two Grammy nods but one can’t have everything I guess )
Did she not get a SINGLE Grammy nomination? I thought she had a better standing with critics (but maybe that was more true for Badlands than Hopeless Fountain Kingdom...?)

It is kinda funny how every year a Christmas track had to stop at #2. I think this year is already the first year ever with a Christmas song reaching the top spot (Tarja’s “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” and Lindsey’s “Carol Of The Bells”), but the competition was often so incredibly strong (WT being my 2nd most favorite band ever, Kerli my absolute fave artist, Taylor’s IKYWT being simply awesome, Jamie-Lee being the winner of The Voice of Germany as my absolute fave on the show). So, it will be interesting to see if an actual Christmas track makes it to #1 during Christmas week as well. The chances are really big, as you say, with especially Tarja and Lindsey Stirling. Gwen could be a dark horse though…
Yeah, it makes sense how a lot of those No. 1's from prior Decembers were significant enough to over-shadow even Christmas songs at Christmastime. I'm definitely curious/excited to watch the outcome of this year's holiday chart battle, though!

I think it’s definitely not too bad missing out “Despacito” and “Rockstar” in full, and I’m not a big fan of Queen B while I love the original “Perfect”, so that’s fine to me
Hmmm...so you're not as into Pokémon anymore...and not as into official charts anymore...is this all because you've really turned over a new leaf with this new partner? Or has smoking become your No. 1 hobby instead? ;)

Unfortunately, not that much to show so far… I’m surprised by myself how “New York” never made my charts back in the days as I really liked it then.
A huge GLORIOUS spoiler (especially when I was just pleased to see it debut here at all) Her first Top 20 since "Trouble With My Baby" back in 2014!

Ah, damn, the initial excitement of 1989 wore off pretty quickly! So 1989 only spent two of its first five weeks inside your Top 5, whereas reputation has spent twice that many!

Of all the Christmas classics out there, I did NOT expect Tarja to tackle "Feliz Navidad." She REALLY makes it her own!
    • Although it's not quite one of my top-favorites on Pop 2 (that's between "Backseat" and "Femmebot" so far, with "Track 10" not TOO far behind), I definitely love that "got me doin' all this stupid sh*t, you f*cked me up like this, secretly I'm kind of into it, though..." part of "Out Of My Head."
    • Lovin' the fairly-slow descent of "Perfect For You" It looks like it'll at least come close to (if not surpass) the longevity of "Broken Glass."
    • Camila's set the bar pretty high for herself with the success of "Havana", and I really can't see "Never Be The Same" coming anywhere close Granted, I never expected "Bad At Love" to come anywhere close to "Now Or Never", so...

    ¡Otra chart excelente, Tansike!

Ah yeah, the White Treehollow! That’s why I really enjoyed it, there hasn’t been something as cool as this after the main stories in a long time IMO. Agree about Sawsbuck, plus I thought it’s cute as well And it was a nice addition, as I’m usually adding lots of Plant types to my Team as these are usually my faves. Well, I think it would have been possible to still work with its seasonal forms. For example where you are able to catch Alolan Sandan or Vulpix, it could have been the Winter form. On the flower fields it could have been the Spring form and so on.

I NEVER got into Lumiose to be honest I always thought it’s actually too big and chaotic. But so you enjoyed that city?

Good to hear that Oh no, please don’t stop, because I really enjoy talking with you about Pokémon, and that’s actually also one of the things which keeps my interest on a higher basis than it usually would be Hmm I didn’t even look at it like that, but you’re right, it’s actually more kid-friendly than earlier. I still remember how difficult Red/Blue was because you had to find out everything by yourself. There were no descriptions for your moves, you just tried them out. Ah… good old times <3
WOW – 80 hours already?!?! NOT bad at all! So you’re really into it at the moment, are you?

      True

Who knows. I adore the LWYMMD vid, but the RFI vid was very disappointing, and I’m afraid it may be the same for “End Game”. We’ll find out soon, I guess. I’m also not sure if this really becomes the hit they (and some people) are expecting. I know it has Ed on it, but still…

Oh I know that ‘do do’ list
P!nk would be an amazing one, but Charli XCX for a current one is good too. So you never heard “Get Weird” in full? Hmm… are these K-Pop albums even on Apple Music? I already searched for some J-Pop artists in the past few months but they’re never available

Yep, not a single nomination Not even in the Pop categories. But hey, at least she delivered musically IMO, but I would have LOVED some noms for her. As for the critics, “hopeless fountain kingdom” has good critics, but not outstanding ones. It’s at 66 on Metacritic (out of 100).

Oh no, it’s been that way with Pokémon for a while now, and charts well it just happened. I think it was already that way before meeting my partner. Also, smoking is more like my No. 1 bad habit

Yes! “Guilty” is doing well for her, and is helping the album as well. Will be interesting to see if she’s rising even further in the new year or if she’s going down due to new releases (there are usually many new songs early in the year which debut on my charts).

I have to admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan of “1989” at first, but it eventually grew on me and then it showed some amazing longevity, as it stayed 48 weeks in the Top20. So, while “Reputation” has a (much) better start, it’s yet to see which one will be more successful in the end. I think “Reputation” won’t have the same longevity, except if she releases “Delicate” or even “Don’t Blame Me” as singles.

Yeah, she did a nice version of it. Unfortunately, “Feliz Navidad” is far from being one of the Christmas classics I enjoy, but the hype around the video release and the release of a Charity version (with many other singers from that genre I adore) made it possible to debut at #1…

Glad you enjoy a part of “Out Of My Head” that much For me it’s actually my favorite on “Pop 2”

Rachel really had an amazing 2017 as both “Broken Glass” and “Perfect For You” are her two most successful singles and also longest charting tracks every on my charts. Here’s hope she may release at least another uptempo track of “Waves” in 2018.

Ha true. We’ll see what happens with this, but I still think “Havana” was just a lucky shot. btw, “Havana” was so underrated on my charts. It only spent one week at #30 and left the Top40 after two weeks

      Thanks a lot

        week 51/2017 – 21 december 2017 Merry Christmas, everyone! <3

        • Singles Top40

        Merry Christmas, everyone!

After having two Christmas songs being atop the charts for two weeks in a row with “Carol Of The Bells” by Lindsey Stirling and “Feliz Navidad” by Tarja, actually none of these and also no other Christmas song can spend this week atop the Singles Top40, as someone else released something new which immediately became an obvious number one. The artist I am talking about is Within Temptation frontwoman Sharon Den Adel, or ‘My Indigo’ as her solo project is named. The singer has revealed the tracklist, release date and cover art of her solo debut album, which will be out in April next year, and alongside the announcement she also released the second song “Out Of The Darkness”, which does what the lead track “My Indigo” couldn’t do – it immediately debuts at number one. With over 70 plays since Friday, it’s already about to match the total plays of the first single “My Indigo”, which slips 10-11 in its sixth charting week and leaves the Top10 for its first time.

The rest of the Top10: Lindsey Stirling still owns three entries in the Top10 with the Christmas tunes “Carol Of The Bells” (2-2), “Christmas C’mon” (3-3) and “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy” (5-6), while Tarja still has one with “Feliz Navidad” (1-4). Inna’s “Nirvana” dips one spot (4-5), just like “The Ghost And The Reaper” by The Dark Element (6-7) and “Regenbogen” by Vanessa Mai (7-8) do. Noah Cyrus and XXXTENTACION once more come back into the Top10 with “Again” (11-9), while Christmas and other events are pushing Pentatonix’ “Hallelujah” a lot and make it nearly re-peak (39-10).

There are only three more new arrivals in the Top40 this week, and two of them are even at the bottom of the charts. It’s more impressive to see another six re-entries, as some Christmas tracks are back while some of this years big songs are also able to climb back onto the chart. The second highest debut goes to Anne-Marie, who scores her second Top20 hit as a lead with “Then” (#15). Another arrival is something more shocking, as it’s the comeback single of Lily Allen, which makes a hugely disappointing debut at #34. The song is called “Trigger Bang”, and features Giggs, who scores his very first entry ever with that song, while it’s already Lily’s 11th chart hit. The shocking thing about this debut however is that none of Lily’s previous entries missed the Top10, with her last lead single “Hard Out Here” even debuting right at the top spot in very early 2014. While half of the re-entries are Christmas tracks, the other half are big songs of the year, with “Spirit Animal” by Kerli being back at #32, “Bad Liar” by Selena Gomez re-entering at #36 and “Now Or Never” by Halsey making a comeback at #37. Other big songs, such as “Praying” by Kesha (35-31) and “Symphony” by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson (37-35) are also climbing a little bit.

Now time to look at the tunes of the season: The Christmas entries! Out of the new entries, Sia’s “Santa’s Coming For Us” is the only Christmas tune, as it arrives at #33 as her first chart entry from the album “Everyday Is Christmas”. When it comes to re-entries, Mariah Carey has the highest, as her never-dying Christmas classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” re-enters the charts at #28. The song, which seems to get bigger with each season lately, made its very first appearance on my charts a year ago, when it peaked at #2 around Christmas, only to disappear straight after until now. Ariana Grande’s “Love Is Everything”, which is a Christmas staple on My Charts, is nearly right behind Mariah at #30. Lindsey Stirling’s “Hallelujah” climbs back as well, though just barely (#40). Two of the already charting Christmas tracks improve this week: “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” by Gwen Stefani rises 28-13 and Ariana Grande jumps 38-25 with “Santa Tell Me”, while Tarja’s “O Tannenbaum” dips 12-14 with her “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” going down 15-18. That brings the total of Christmas tunes in the Top40 to 12.

Similar to last week, there are also several new certifications on this weeks chart, with two singles and four albums getting an update. Clean Bandit and Julia Michael’s “I Miss You” may leave the Top10 this week (8-16), but the track goes Gold, which is the first certification for Julia, and already the fourth in a row for Clean Bandit. The second new certification goes to “My Sweet Mystery” by The Dark Element, which becomes the bands first Platinum certified entry (23-21).

Pentatonix’ “Hallelujah” is the biggest climber while The Dark Element’s “Dead To Me” (16-27) and Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” (27-38) both share the title as the biggest loser of the week.

        • Album Top20

It’s Christmas week and while the Singles Top40 is reigned by a non-Christmas song after having a Christmas track topping the charts for the two previous weeks, it’s the exact same on the Album Top20, as Lindsey Stirling’s “Warmer In The Winter” is no longer atop the charts after having spent the past two weeks there. New on top is Inna, who rises 2-1 in the second week for “Nirvana”, which becomes her second number one album now. Lindsey’s “Warmer In The Winter” slips 1-2, followed by Gwen Stefani’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas”, which rises 7-3. And while this may be the Christmas week, next week will most likely have the biggest Christmas boost, so it will be interesting to see who will top next weeks chart.

Two debuts and two re-entries are in the Top20, with the new arrivals being in the Top10 and the re-entries in the lower region. Charli XCX has released a new mixtape called “Pop 2”. It enters the charts at #4 as her fourth album to make a debut, with all of them peaking in the Top10, however none of them showed enough longevity to really become successful so far. South Korean pop star Taeyeon has released her Christmas album “This Christmas – Winter Is Coming” in the last minute and arrives at #7. It’s her second entry this year following the surprise success that was “My Voice – The 1st Album” (#4, 7 weeks on the chart).

The rest of the best: The Dark Element’s self-titled album goes down 3-5 and gets certified with Gold, Tarja’s “From Spirits And Ghosts” falls 4-6, Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” decreases 5-8 while Pentatonix’ “A Pentatonix Christmas” has a big boost and jumps 20-10. There’s one last entry in the upper half, and that’s Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom”. The set dips 6-9 in its 29th week, and gets certified with 2x Platinum, which is quite rare these days.

Speaking about certifications, there are another two new ones. Ariana Grande’s “Christmas & Chill” EP just went Gold a week ago and rises 19-14 this week, and now it’s her “Christmas Kisses” EP which goes Platinum due to its re-entry at #17. Having made a re-entry as well just a week ago was “Regenbogen” by Vanessa Mai, which climbs a little this week (17-15) and becomes her first certified album ever by going Gold. Rachel Platten’s “Waves” (8-11), Paloma Faith’s “The Architect” (10-12) and Evanescence’ “Synthesis” (9-13) all leave the upper half. Last but not least, the two mentioned re-entries are both Christmas releases, with Sia’s “Everyday Is Christmas” coming back to #16 and the other being the already mentioned “Christmas Kisses” EP by Ariana Grande.

Yeah - it's disappointing enough that they don't believe in doing full Battle Frontiers anymore, but it's really a shame they stopped adding any kind of more-creative post-game battling options like the Treehollow, Pokémon World Tournament, etc. The Battle Agency is something, at least - but it doesn't offer anything new, since it's essentially the same as the old Battle Factory. Ah, I'd forgotten about your affinity for Plant/Grass-types! Have you added any to your current team other than Rowlet? Even though she was only a seventh/rotational member, I enjoyed trying out Tsareena/Fruyal - she's got a massive attack stat, and she can fully evolve as early as Lv. 29. Also - that makes PERFECT sense for Sawsbuck! It could work like those Pokémon that evolve in certain areas (like Nosepass/Nasgnet into Probopass/Voluminas), or something like Oricorio's/Choreogel's nectar - with each of the four islands allowing it to become a different seasonal form. That's a big missed opportunity, actually...

I did! The camera angle can get a little frustrating sometimes, but I love that the Pokémon World finally has a city large enough where you can get legitimately lost With so many streets, alleys, plazas, shops, and cafés, it feels like you're actually exploring a major metropolis (especially compared to previous "big" cities like Goldenrod/Dukatia, Jubilife/Jubelstadt, or even Castelia/Stratos.)

Ha, that's SO true about moves back in the day! You couldn't even see a move's base power in-game until Gen II...

Ha, I really am! Granted, I don't really play any other video games (well, except for Pokémon Go when I'm out-and-about), so any "video game time" = "Pokémon time" for me I just passed Hapu's Grand Trial, so I'm very close to the end of the main story now...

Hmm… are these K-Pop albums even on Apple Music? I already searched for some J-Pop artists in the past few months but they’re never available
I haven't...which doesn't really make sense, since I liked all four singles I think my reluctance to pick up Get Weird had at least a little to do with the fact that I was pretty underwhelmed by DNA. Now that Glory Days has shown me that I can really enjoy a full album of theirs, there's really no excuse!

Really? That sucks Apple Music has recommended/directed me to at least a few full K-Pop albums, but I haven't tried actively seeking out any J-Pop albums yet. If what you're saying is true, that's a HUGE omission! :-?

Ah, right - The Architect is ANOTHER one to add to that "to do" list of mine I actually didn't add any new albums this past week, though, since I've had Christmas music and 2017 highlights on the brain...

So, while “Reputation” has a (much) better start, it’s yet to see which one will be more successful in the end. I think “Reputation” won’t have the same longevity, except if she releases “Delicate” or even “Don’t Blame Me” as singles.
Admittedly, I haven't been tracking your album chart quite as closely, but that sounds like a MASSIVE achievement Nearly a full YEAR! Do you know the records for weeks inside the album Top 20?

True to Tansike tradition, a non-holiday song wound up on top after all (even with plenty of competition inside your Top 5) Your new No. 1 is a really lovely song, though! The lyrics might not have anything to do with Christmas, but it still has a very pretty wintry sound/feel to it.
                • Glad to see "Guilty" still climbing - and now it matched the peak of "Can't Rely On You."
                • After my comment about "Out Of My Head" being "good-but-not-one-of-the-best", I kept playing it quite a bit and it turned out to be the second-highest-debut from Pop 2.
                • Looks like "...Ready For It?" could end up matching the longevity of LWYMMD...
                • For not being around all that long/only having three "regular" albums, Ari's served up quite a few quality Christmas tunes (and covers too), with "Santa Tell Me" being a strong contender for my favorite of the bunch (though her twist on "Last Christmas" really grew on me.) I'm pretty sure you're the reason I checked out Christmas & Chill last year, so thanks again for encouraging that!
                • Speaking of Christmas classics, I'm obviously lovin' that re-entry for AIWFCIY The fact that it finally earned that (MUCH-deserved) Top 10 status on the Hot 100 after 23 years was a true Christmas miracle!
                • Must be the year-end-effect for "Spirit Animal", "Bad Liar", and "Now Or Never"?

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas (and have an equally awesome New Year's), Tansike!

                • I have stopped checking out new songs for this year so I can't comment on a lot of the new entries, but "Out of the Darkness" had already made it into my database (due to "My Indigo" being a hit) and that one is really good! Yeah, I know Sharen den Adel from Within Temptation, immediately recognized her name when I first saw "My Indigo" on your chart, although maybe I wouldn't have immdiately recognized her voice if I had listened before I knew it was her. Definitely going to listen to the album (April feels quite far away though).

I like that it's not a Christmas song that is #1 this week, although the oppsite happened on mine (where Christmas songs rarely have had success in the past).

Have you considered starting a new thread for your chart for 2018 onwards? I've noticed that this one (I assume due to the huge number of pages) loads much slower than other threads on UKMix, which can often be a bit annoying.

I also feel like Noah is trying way to hard. I dunno, I wish everyone luck in their music but she just seems so.....fake.

It really is, unfortunately i don't see it hanging on for too long...

That makes me wonder why they didn't make another great Battle Frontier, as fans seemed to enjoy it a lot. Also, nowadays, the 'hardcore' fans are usually so fast with the main story, so it would be really nice to add some cool post-game battling options.
I used Tsareena/Fruyal in my Sun playthrough and it was really cool to play with it. As for Ultramoon, i haven't played in two weeks or so, so there's no new addition to my team yet. But it's been a busy time lately, hopefully this will change again soon so i'll have more time to play it again.
It really was a missed opportunity. Here's hope they add it to the next game, as i would love to play with it again.

Okay, that's true, it's actually cool to have a 'real' city in a game, as most other towns are way too small to be called 'town' IMO But as you say, the camera angle really made it so awful to coordinate where you are so i was lost like 99% of the time!

But that made it much better IMO. I mean, you really had to try things out and see what happens, so you were able to discover lots of stuff.

Oh wow! How many hours do you have now? As i said above, i didn't play in the last two weeks or so, so i'm still under 10 hours Also, i have to add as well that any video game time = Pokémon time for me as well, so i basically NEVER play video games lately...

Well, i wanted to wish him and his family a Merry Christmas. But he was faster and already wish me and my loved ones a Merry Christmas on the 23rd, so i wrote him back and wish him and his loved ones the same.

Ah okay. Well, this can happen, especially when you didn't use streaming back then, you want to be sure to pick up albums you really like, so they money is not wasted.

You're also into J-Pop artists, are you? There are just a few i would have liked to listen to, maybe i just had bad luck with them

Same with me. There'll be no new entries on the Album Charts at all tomorrow, but Christmas releases will benefit a lot as i was super busy lately and often just played my current Christmas Playlist in the background.

Good question... i never really looked this up, but it was always clear to me which one is the longest running album on the charts. I just made a research and here are all albums which spent 40+ weeks on the chart:

I think that must be all. Note that album charts only started in 2010 and there was just a Top10 at first.

Haha yeah... it's kinda funny as we were talking about this only like one or two weeks ago, and now it happened again. But My Indigo's new release was way too strong for Lindsey and every other song this week. But there's a Christmas boost on tomorrow's chart as i've been listening to a lot of Christmas music, so who knows what happens?
I'm very glad to hear you think "Out Of The Darkness" is a lovely song, and yeah, it really fits to the current season

This could be a nice hit for Paloma on my chart, as i really enjoy it at the moment. Not sure if it will go further up the charts though, but she should stay on the chart for several weeks.

YAY for "Out Of My Head"

Yes, RFI definitely showed good longevity now. I think i also like both equally as much, depends on the mood.

Oh yeah, now i remember that we were talking about her Christmas releases last year! I just fell in love with "Christmas & Chill" again, such a great EP, and "Christmas Kisses" is great too. Would have been cool if she would have released another EP this year, so it would have been a new Christmas EP every two years and always between her proper studio albums...
You still don't like "Love Is Everything", do you? That one is still my favorite one, though "Santa Tell Me" already comes close for me.

Definitely a well deserved Top10 spot on the Hot 100 Unfortunately, i'm not as into it this season like i was last year, so don't expect much for it on my charts...

Thanks a lot - and same to you!

So amazing to hear you enjoy "Out Of The Darkness" as well! It's a really beautiful song and i simply love her voice on this. Well, i do love her voice in general, but on "Out Of The Darkness" it sounds stronger than usual and this kind of song fits her very well. Yeah, April still seems far away. I'm surprise she's waiting so long to release this.

I already saw your current #1 earlier today and was surprised that it's a Christmas song (and was even more surprised by the artist - but i try to catch up with comments tomorrow). While this is the Christmas week, the actual Christmas effect can be seen on tomorrow's chart, so maybe there'll be a Christmas track at #1...

Oh, i had no idea my topic is loading slower than other threads Do you have the same problem with other big topics, such as Akini's daily chart or the Mariah Carey GAD topic? I never noticed it that this thread may be slower than others. Maybe it's not the amount of posts, but the pics i'm using for my charts...
Anyways, no, i won't start a new topic for 2018. Maybe i will think about changing something when it comes to the presentation, so i could use less pictures...

edit: I just remembered that UKMix has a problem in loading in general lately, so maybe my topic may not be the problem, but the page in general?

Hmm good question, i think my favorite version would be the one by Jeff Buckley or even Leonard Cohen's original. I also love the instrumental version by Lindsey Stirling, but Pentatonix definitely did an amazing cover. Do you like it as well?

I was really into this last year and usually i'm not a fan of her at all, so reaching #2 is a huge feat for her on my charts. Maybe #1 will happen one day

Love this as well!!!! Another song that missed out on the #1 spot. Tansike what are you doing

PS: Merry Christmas to you too! <3 xx
I just talked with phoenix98 about this lately and i never realized it, but since Christmas tracks started to blow up on my charts, they ALWAYS ended up at #2 during Christmas weeks, while another non-Christmas song was #1, so this seems to be a curse when it comes to my charts
Anyways, very happy to hear you love "Love Is Everything", as it's still my favorite Christmas song by Ariana <3

                        Thanks <3

                          • Singles Top40

It’s the last week of the year, so like every year at this time, there’s not a lot going on on the weekly chart, with some Christmas songs still doing well and some already falling, while only a handful of new entries arrive in the Top40.

The festive season pushed two releases a lot, and that are the Christmas albums by Lindsey Stirling and Gwen Stefani. Lindsey still owns three entries in the Top10 of the Singles Top40, and “Carol Of The Bells” remains the strongest one, as it returns to the top for a second non-consecutive week there (2-1). “Christmas C’mon” spends a sixth week in the Top5 (3-4) while “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy” dips 6-7 in its eighth charting week. Meanwhile, Gwen’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” jumps 13-6 to become her ninth Top10 entry.

Other Christmas songs in the Top40: “Feliz Navidad” by Tarja falls 4-9, while her other two songs “O Tannenbaum” (14-21) and “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” (18-30) drop even more places. Pentatonix’ “Hallelujah” goes down 10-15, while Ariana Grande has a good week as her “Santa Tell Me” goes up 25-18 while “Love Is Everything” increases 30-28. Lindsey Stirling’s rendition of “Hallelujah” makes a huge leap by climbing 40-23, Sia’s “Santa’s Coming For Us” gets a new peak by going 33-27 and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” seems to have a much smaller impact than last year as it’s already down 28-33.

When it comes to new entries, there are only three debuts on the charts this week, and two of them got into the Top5. Machine Gun Kelly, X Ambassadors and Bebe Rexha all teamed up on the track “Home”, which is on the soundtrack of the Netflix movie “Bright”, and makes an impressive debut at #3. It’s Machine Gun Kelly’s first notation ever, while the other two already charted before. Following the video release, Katy Perry scores her fourth Top5 hit from her current album “Witness”, as “Hey Hey Hey” arrives at #5. Last but not least, Cardi B’s follow-up to her breakthrough hit “Bodak Yellow” finally got released in form of “Bartier Cardi”, which becomes another Top20 entry for the rapper at #20.

The rest of the Top10: My Indigo’s “Out Of The Darkness” slips 1-2 while “My Indigo” returns to the Top10 (11-10), and Inna’s “Nirvana” drops 5-8.

The Dark Element’s “The Ghost And The Reaper” may leave the Top10 for the first time after six week (7-11), but the song gets certified with Gold this week as their fourth song to do so. Other than that, there are still a few older songs on the charts due to the Year-End Charts effect. “Spirit Animal” by Kerli even rises a bit (32-29), with “Now Or Never” by Halsey (37-38) and “Bad Liar” by Selena Gomez (36-39) both falling a little. Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You” even re-enters the charts at #32, while “Symphony” by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson is also up a little due to the Year-End hype (35-34).

Lindsey Stirling’s “Hallelujah” is the biggest climber while Charli XCX, Tove Lo and ALMA’s “Out Of My Head” tumbles down 20-37 as the biggest loser this week.

And now: I wish everyone a Happy New Year <3 a HUGE thanks to everyone who took the time to visit this topic, or even made a comment, or even went so far and checked out some stuff. I really appreciate that! See you in 2018!

                          • Album Top20

With me being busy most of the week and basically only putting my current Christmas favorites on repeat, it’s no surprise to see lots of Christmas releases having a big impact on the Album Top20 this week. Lindsey Stirling’s “Warmer In The Winter” takes the crown, as the set rises 2-1 for a fourth non-consecutive week at number one. This brings Lindsey's total weeks atop the album charts to an impressive 20 weeks since her breakthrough in early 2013. The violinist is followed by Gwen Stefani’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” (3-2) and Pentatonix’ “A Pentatonix Christmas” (10-3). Ariana Grande jumps a lot with both of her EPs, as “Christmas & Chill” makes the Top5 (14-5) and “Christmas Kisses” being not too far behind (17-7). Sia re-peaks with her “Everyday Is Christmas” (16-6). Meanwhile, two Christmas releases fall a few spots, and that are “From Spirits And Ghosts” by Tarja (6-8) and “This Christmas – Winter Is Coming” by Taeyeon (7-14), but the first one goes Gold this week.

The rest of the best: Inna’s “Nirvana” falls 1-4, The Dark Element’s self-titled album goes down 5-9 while Halsey closes the Top10 with “hopeless fountain kingdom” (9-10).

Charli XCX’ “Pop 2” already falls 4-11, with “Reputation” by Taylor Swift leaving the upper half as well (8-13). Taylor still has a reason to celebrate, as her set goes Gold this week. Meanwhile, while there’s absolutely no new debut in the Top20, there’s at least a re-entry, as Katy Perry’s “Witness” is back at #17 due to the video release for “Hey Hey Hey”.

                            • So i just added a poll as i'm thinking about changing the presentation. It would be cool to get a few feedbacks.

Sometimes i think the presentation seems a bit 'too much'. What are your thoughts?

One way to cut it down a bit is not posting the chartrun for songs. The Top10 would look that way without the chartrun:

[spoiler:2jn1y39t]1 (2) 4 Lindsey Stirling – Carol Of The Bells
2 (1) 2 My Indigo (Sharon den Adel) – Out Of The Darkness
3 (NEW) 1 Machine Gun Kelly, X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha – Home
                              4 (3) 6 Lindsey Stirling feat. Becky G – Christmas C’mon
5 (NEW) 5 Katy Perry – Hey Hey Hey
6 (13) 4 Gwen Stefani feat. Blake Shelton – You Make It Feel Like Christmas
7 (6) 8 Lindsey Stirling – Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy
                              8 (5) 4 Inna – Nirvana
                              9 (4) 3 Tarja – Feliz Navidad
10 (11) 7 My Indigo (Sharon den Adel) – My Indigo
                              [/spoiler:2jn1y39t]

Would that be a nice welcome, or is the chartrun a good thing to look at on my weekly chart?

Thanks in advance for everyone who takes part in the poll or gives a feedback in the topic

                              • I voted "It's good how it is" because in general I don't like when things change (unless I'm the one actively doing it) and I haven't had any problems with the current presentation.

On second thought though, it would actually be very useful to be able to have the entire chart (all 40 positions) on the screen at the same time. And the chart runs aren't essential, especially not when following the chart (more or less) every week. It might also be possible to include them (perhaps shortening the long ones) on the same line by playing around with the font sizes. (Although this may look messy on tiny screens.)

The perfect chart presentation should (imho) satisfy all of this:

                                * Have great visuals (similar to how Biebz's and Era's charts used to look)
                                * Allow easy copy-paste of the text content
                                * Include all relevant information
                                * Include links to the songs/albums on the most popular streaming services (when available)
                                * Be small enough to fit on the screen all at once
                                * Be searchable, i.e. the chart contents must show up when using the UKMix search function
                                * Not unnecessarily waste network traffic.

But obviously there are technical limitations to what can be done here, and some of these points are even fundamentally in conflict with each other, so the perfect chart presentation will most likely never exist (maybe if every viewer can easily make his own customizations...).

Also, in practice this needs to be added to the list:

                                * Require a minimum of human time/effort to put together each instance of

The most important thing is that the chart continues to live and gets posted, so I would much rather have another six years in a mediocre format than twelve weeks of something stunning and then nothing at all after that!

Oh wow! How many hours do you have now? As i said above, i didn't play in the last two weeks or so, so i'm still under 10 hours Also, i have to add as well that any video game time = Pokémon time for me as well, so i basically NEVER play video games lately...
In an interview around the time ORAS came out, Junichi Masuda (the Producer of ORAS, and Producer/Director of many main series games over the years) kind of addressed the lower difficulty and lack of Battle Frontiers in recent games with a response like: "everyone is very busy and young people have various means of entertainment. Using smartphones and other devices they can access a great number of games, so the time they dedicate to a single game is less than in the past." That seems to boil down to "kids/most of our audience just wouldn't bother with it", and he might have a point there...but it still would've been MUCH appreciated by older fans to at least include the original Frontier in ORAS (and it might've hooked younger players more than he expected.) You make a great point too, given how many players really rush through the main story now, it seems like they should give MORE reasons for people to keep playing in the post-game and not FEWER reasons. Ha, yeah, I can understand not having much gaming time with all the holiday madness these past couple weeks, but hopefully Ultra Moon manages to suck you back in now that things are calming down again. One complaint that I've seen a lot about USUM is that the big story changes from SuMo don't really appear until the climax, which makes it tougher for people who already played through SuMo to stay interested in USUM until the big new plot points pop up.

Ha, yeah - I can understand how it's not much fun to explore a city if you spend most of the time getting frustrated by simply trying to get where you want to go. Hopefully the Switch will make it possible to include massive cities that are ALSO clear to understand/navigate.

I haven't picked up Ultra Sun in a few days due to having friends in town for New Year's Eve, but I think I'm close to 100 hours Aw...well, although I don't really believe in the idea that people HAVE to give up video games in order to be proper responsible adults, if you're just naturally losing interest in them and preferring to spend your free time elsewhere, I can't be TOO mad/disappointed about that Just don't change TOO much on me now!

**Nod** I don't have a HUGE J-Pop collection (only around 100-200 songs in my library), but K-Pop has gotten more of my attention the past couple years due to it making more headlines (Billboard posts articles about K-Pop acts pretty often, even though they still don't have much of a presence on the Hot 100/main charts) and popping up on iTunes charts more often.

Ha, I feel that. Resolutions can be fun to talk/joke about, but making actual lasting change in your life takes SO much more than just watching the date change from Dec 31 to Jan 1 The few times that I've actually managed to break bad habits/start good habits had nothing to do with New Year's.

Same with me. There'll be no new entries on the Album Charts at all tomorrow, but Christmas releases will benefit a lot as i was super busy lately and often just played my current Christmas Playlist in the background.
I actually haven't heard her last album in full either but I did really love "Only Love Can Hurt Like This" (No. 1 peak, 19 weeks total on my chart.) I finally added Beautiful Trauma to my library on Friday, but it's not hooking me all that much, so I might move onto The Architect pretty soon...

Interesting! I guess I should've expected that, since both hit No. 1 and RFI is on track to last basically as long as LWYMMD did. LYWMMD still does more for me, but RFI would probably rank inside my reputation Top 5 too (maybe No. 6 or 7 at the lowest.)

Would have been cool if she would have released another EP this year, so it would have been a new Christmas EP every two years and always between her proper studio albums...

You still don't like "Love Is Everything", do you? That one is still my favorite one, though "Santa Tell Me" already comes close for me.
Yeah! It already feels like the Dangerous Woman era ended forever ago (granted, I guess the Manchester tragedy probably played a role in that too), so another Christmas EP would've definitely helped the wait/gap feel shorter.

Ha, maybe next Christmas I'll finally see the light when it comes to that track...

                                  • Ha, damn, Lindsey came SO close to finally sending a Christmas song to No. 1 the week OF Christmas At least she got to spend another a week on top before all the festive songs vanish (unless they cling on longer than I'm expecting...? I usually stop playing any holiday stuff pretty much entirely the day after Christmas.)
                                  • I just checked out "Home" for the first time, and although it's not really clicking right away, MGK looks pretty damn good in those scenes of him getting out of the car at the beginning of the video.
                                  • Looks like the "Hey Hey Hey" video had a pretty positive impact on you? A No. 5 debut seems pretty high, since I didn't think you were too crazy about the song before (it wasn't your least favorite, but definitely not one of your favorites either?) I think the first three Witness singles all went Top 3 (and at least Gold?) here, so we'll see how it compares to those in the long run...
                                  • Aw, so the "Home" and year-end effect helped "I Got You", but not poor "Meant To Be."
                                  • I voted "It's good how it is" in the poll, since I think including the chart runs is helpful (especially since I sometimes mix up how songs performed on different people's charts)...but if it would save you a lot of time/stress to not include them every week, your chart would still be just as fun to follow! I think they're a nice bonus, but they're not absolutely necessary for enjoying and understanding your chart.

Yet another chart that rings my bell, Tansike!

                                    * Allow easy copy-paste of the text content
                                    * Include all relevant information

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it's really appreciated!

That's the point i've been thinking about for a while. With adding the chartruns like i do right now, the whole charts looks so 'big', you have to scroll 'a lot' to see everything. However, adding the chartruns at the bottom of the post (with the new Spoiler add for example) still isn't the solution i'm looking for, as it doesn't look good enough (or i haven't found a way to make it good looking / satisfying). The possibility with the font sizes is a great idea, but as you say, it doesn't look good on every screen (not even on my big iMac; i tried it ).

These are all good points... i think i already have some, while some are still worth to achieve, like the first point with the visuals à la Era or Biebz. Sometimes i think less is more, and as you say, time is another factor, and better doing it with less visuals but being able to post it on time. That's why i scrapped the airplay charts back in the days, as it turned out to be too much of work for every week to compile THREE charts (plus LastFM was messy at that time, which made it even worse).

So to summarize everything, you really got some amazing points, so thanks for that. Unfortunately, i've been thinking about a few things as well and i simply don't find the perfect solution for me, which makes it quite bad. To go back to your initial problem, i've also experienced that this topic is (much) slower than others on UKMix, especially in the last few days, so it's definitely NOT the page overall which is lagging. I think i'll go through the topic and delete all pics from 2012 - 2016 (or even part of 2017), because i really don't need them anymore and maybe this will help. Some older pics don't show up anymore as the page i used to use closed down, this may be another factor.

I guess i keep on trying things out and you really helped a lot with your points, however, since there's currently a 100% vote for 'It's good how it is', i will keep the presentation as it is for now.

Ouch. That's a very unsatisfying reply IMO... but, as you say, he may have a good point there and why wasting so much time and money on something that may not be used in the end? Anyways, here's hope they will add something nice to the next Generation, since UM/US isn't that much different to Moon/Sun, so they could make up for this 'mess' with the next Generation by adding something many fans were really looking for.
I hope so too. Right now it's very unlikely. I had some time off lately and still didn't game, and when i started a few days ago, i fell asleep after a few minutes... Also, i really have to admit that i LOVE to watch someone else play games, no idea why, but it's how it is... and since my partner is a gamer, i often just spent HOURS just watching him instead of playing a game as well.

That would be awesome! I'm really looking forward for the first Pokémon game on Switch

W O W !!! Sure... and, i think... it also may be a 'fresh-in-love'-thing, you know. I just thought about this lately and it really seems that everything (or much more than usual) is about HIM, which is normal at the beginning of a relationship (or also later in a good relationship, i guess?). I didn't have that for years, and i was always bored and kinda got my life together how it was, now i have someone who i really enjoy spending time with, watching him doing things, going out etc.

100-200 are still lots of tracks IMO. Oh yeah, there are a few K-Pop artists who keep on charting on the iTunes chart all over the world, while J-Pop is rarely so successful/popular outside of Japan (or Asia overall). How many K-Pop songs do you have in your library?

Definitely! Anyways, if i start a day with thinking i smoke as less as possible, it turns out to be a more-than-average-smoking-day, so i really don't make a resolution there. Did you make some New Years resolutions?

She really is. Since my chart started in 2007, i thought about making a best-of-decade list in 2016, not with songs/albums, but with artists, and Lindsey already was quite high there despite having made her debut in 2013. She even got much more points since then, as she released two albums ("Brave Enough" and the Christmas release "Warmer In The Winter"), so she's definitely one of the most successful artists of all time when it comes to my charts.

That's a good ranking! It's similar with me, a very few other tracks rank higher too, like "Don't Blame Me" and the obvious "Delicate".

Ha, maybe next Christmas I'll finally see the light when it comes to that track...
Funny you think so as i was just thinking about that lately, but the final single ("Everyday") only came out early 2017, so it's not that long ago. Anyways, i'm quite sure we get something new in 2018, and i'm really looking forward to that new stuff!

                                      Fingers crossed

Haha... yeah, she did it with the actual Christmas boost. A Christmas #1 would have been sweet, but i think topping both charts a week after Christmas is a great feat as well. Well, some of the Christmas songs will suffer the usual Post-Christmas drop, but there will be a few smaller drops indeed

Thanks for checking it out. This was actually love on first play for me So i hope it may be a grower for you (if it actually sticks around with you). Yeah, there are some great scenes in the video, but Bebe is the real star there <3 I'm currently low-key stan a bit for her.

Yes and no. It was one of my favorite songs of the album (or at least in the better half), so since it got a video, i allowed it onto my charts and in that week, i played it quite often, so it was enough for a #5 debut. I can't say how well it will do, but it's very unlikely that it will repeat the success of the last three singles, and you're right, they all were quite big hits, with two of them going Gold and one even Platinum.

Ha, right now i'm listening to "Meant To Be" so funny how you mention that one. It may re-enter sooner or later

Thanks a lot, really appreciated! Now, it doesn't take lots of time as it's already all there, and if a song re-enters, i can just copy the chartrun from my Excel as i collect them all in an Excel (i just need to search them there). I just made the decision that i keep it as it is for now, but i also keep on trying new things out (until i may find something that would fit as new presentation).

                                      Thanks a lot!
btw... do you plan to create a Year-End Charts as well? That section is currently really hot and i'd love to see your own countdown

Already a big thanks to all voters! As for the first week of 2018, it will remain the same as it was so far, but there's still the possibility to see a change sometime during the year.

week 01/2018 – 4 january 2018 someone take me Home

                                            • Singles Top40

New year, new charts, new number one. 2018’s very first number one hit is last weeks highest new entry, as “Home” by Machine Gun Kelly, X Ambassadors and Bebe Rexha rises 3-1 in its second week. As noted a week ago, it’s Machine Gun Kelly’s first chart entry, and now also his first number one hit, while it’s also the first top hit and second entry overall for X Ambassadors (“Renegades” peaked at #12 in 2016 for them), while Bebe already collected eight chart entries in total, including the #1 single “I Got You” from last year, and the Gold certified collaboration “In The Name Of Love” with Martin Garrix.

Speaking of Bebe, she has another two songs in the Top40 this week, as these two songs both benefit from the success of “Home” and the Year-End Charts effect. Her smash “I Got You” jumps 32-21 after its re-entry a week ago, while “Meant To Be” with Florida Georgia Line is back at #34. The Year-End Charts effect is having quite a big impact on this weeks chart overall, as lots of last years big hits are climbing. “Anywhere” by Rita Ora (12-6) and “Again” by Noah Cyrus (14-7) are even back in the Top10, Rachel Platten increases 31-22 with “Perfect For You”, Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson’s “Symphony” is up 34-25, followed by Kerli’s “Spirit Animal” (29-26), which even goes 2x Platinum this week. Kesha’s “Praying” (40-33), Selena Gomez’ “Bad Liar” (39-36) and Halsey’s “Now Or Never” (38-38) are still benefitting from the countdown effect as well, while Hailee Steinfeld & Co.’s “Let Me Go” (#31) and Ed Sheeran’s “Galway Girl” (#35) are able to make little comebacks.

While six of the eight songs that leave the charts are Christmas tracks, there are still a few left on the charts, and some of them are actually falling less than expected. Lindsey Stirling still has three entries, but only “Carol Of The Bells” remains in the Top10 (1-3). Its small drop is also due to the fact that despite the song being a Christmas tune, it’s still typical Lindsey and can be played outside of Christmas as well. Her other two tracks – “Christmas C’mon” (4-17) and “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy” (7-29) – suffer the usual Christmas drop. The first of these two goes Gold this week, which is the first ever certified entry for the featured Becky G. Other than Lindsey, “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” by Gwen Stefani (6-20), “Hallelujah” by Pentatonix (15-24), “Feliz Navidad” by Tarja (9-37) and “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande (18-40) are the other remaining songs from the festive season.

The mentioned re-entries at the bottom of the charts are not the only songs that bring some action to this weeks Top40, as there are also several new arrivals near the top. Imagine Dragons own the highest one, as their “Whatever It Takes” makes a stellar debut at #4, tying their breakthrough hit “Radioactive” as their highest peaking single ever now. They’re followed by Sigrid, who is new at #5 with “Strangers”. Eminem gets his highest charting track ever with the help of Ed Sheeran, as their “River” is new at #8. Sam Smith’s “One Last Song” arrives at #12 while P!nk has the final new arrival with “Beautiful Trauma” at #13.

The rest of the best: My Indigo’s “Out Of The Darkness” stays at #2, Katy Perry’s “Hey Hey Hey” drops 5-9 and Vanessa Mai’s “Regenbogen” returns to the Top10 (13-10).

In between all these new things going on, Anne-Marie nearly got another Top10 hit on her own as her current single “Then” climbs 16-11. Last but not least, My Indigo’s self-titled debut track drops as low as never before (10-16), but goes Gold this week.

Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You” is the biggest climber, while Tarja’s “Feliz Navidad” is the biggest loser this week.

Christmas is over, and so it’s no surprise to see all the Christmas releases also losing some ground on the Album Top20. However, the albums are holding on better than the songs on the Singles Top40, as there are still three Christmas releases in the Top10 of the album charts, with “Warmer In The Winter” by Lindsey Stirling (1-4), “A Pentatonix Christmas” by Pentatonix (3-6) and “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” by Gwen Stefani (2-10). Tarja’s “From Spirits And Ghosts” has a bigger drop, but also survives this week (8-20). Completely falling out of the Top20 are “Christmas & Chill” EP (#5) & “Christmas Kisses” EP (#7) by Ariana Grande, Sia’s “Everyday Is Christmas” (#6) and “This Christmas – Winter Is Coming” by Taeyeon (#14).

The new Netflix movie Bright is making the double, as not only its soundtrack single “Home” climbs to the top of the Singles Top40, but also the whole soundtrack makes its arrival at #1 this week as the first number one album of 2018. It’s followed by Inna’s “Nirvana”, which rises back up 4-2, and Eminem’s “Revival”, which enters the charts at #3.

The rest of the Top10: The Dark Element’s self-titled release recovers 9-5, Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” is up 10-7 while “Waves” by Rachel Platten (12-8) and “Reputation” by Taylor Swift (13-9) are both back in the upper half.

Bebe Rexha had a good 2017, and 2018 is starting really well too, as she’s not only smashing on the singles charts, but her two EP’s from last year are also making some impact on the album charts, with “All Your Fault, Pt. 1” being back at #11 and “All Your Fault, Pt. 2” back at #16. Sam Smith’s “The Thrill Of It All” (#13) and Chris Stapleton’s “From A Room, Vol. 2” (#18) are also able to re-enter the Top20. Last thing worth a mention is P!nk’s increase for “Beautiful Trauma” (18-12).

I like the current presentation. Looks good.
Tried something new with my weekly charts as well. To start the new year off fresh haha.

As for your single charts: many good tunes. Not too fond on your no. 1, but I like the other Bebe tracks in the chart. Also big woo for Anne-Marie and Cardi B 'Bartier Cardi' is a bopppp.

                                                • Hi Tansike

Happy new year. I hope you had a wonderful time bringing in 2018, and let's hope it can be a truly amazing year for all of us.

Ok, first of all i voted i like your format as you already have it. I think if you wanted to change it, you would be better to just change it. After all, it's your chart thread and if other people say they don't like it, then they've missed the point. For me, its all about the contents and seeing which songs you're enjoying the most.

I've always kept my chart simple on the surface but as you know my chart is colour coded and also utilises the small font for additional info. So when it comes to writing up a new chart if you feel it's too much then by all means strip that down ( ) but i personally love how you present your chart.

Speaking of contents, let's see whats happening in your first chart of 2018.

                                                  1 (3) Machine Gun Kelly, X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha – Home

I must revisit this song, i gave it a listen about two weeks ago but i didn't really click instantly and i've admittedly not returned since to see if it clicks with fresh ears.

4 (NEW) Imagine Dragons – Whatever It Takes

Wow, this is a surprise. For some reason i thought Whatever it takes had already been a hit in your chart. It's a good song but for me its the weakest of their singles from 2017. Thunder is quite comfortable their best single off their album although overall they've yet to better Radioactive.

                                                  5 (NEW) Sigrid – Strangers

Yay! Now this is amazing to see. Taking full advantage of what i call dry January (that first week of the new year before all the big hits start coming in the second week of the year ). As you already know i love Strangers and i'm still hopeful to see this become a big success in the coming weeks.

                                                  6 (12) Rita Ora – Anywhere *G*

                                                  That rebound. <3

8 (NEW) Eminem feat. Ed Sheeran – River

Have you heard Revival? I think the album for the most part is really great. I love a number of the tracks on the album but Like home has been my absolute favourite (its currently #1 in my chart ) and i would love to see this song become an official single.

12 (NEW) Sam Smith – One Last Song

It's not a patch on Too good at goodbyes but i do like this to some extent. It got to #19 but i suspect the song would've done much better had another singer been providing the vocals.

                                                  13 (NEW) P!nk – Beautiful Trauma

Gosh! All the hits are finally making a splash this week. I'm quite surprised this is only entering now but nonetheless amazing to see P!nk getting that chart entry.

34 (RE) Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line – Meant To Be

This has turned out to be quite the earworm for me. It got to #6 in my chart a few weeks back and has managed to stabilise pretty impressively. It's left to be seen how much longer this can remain in my chart.

I'm guessing all those christmas themed songs will all drop out next week so i'm curious to see how many new entries make your chart next week. Looks like tomorrow could be a big day for music, just got to hope the big names can deliver the goods.
