1 (NEW) Auri – The Space Between
    Chart Run: *1*- / 1w

It's a bit underwhelming to me, I like ''Night 13'' more.

It's really tough to say which one is better for me, as i really enjoy them both. But i have to say my first impression on "Night 13" was better than on "The Space Between", but i got over it rather quickly...

Can't wait for the full album

I just beat Brock last night… gosh, I forgot how hard it is against him which Pikachu as a starter and the Pokémon which were available to catch until then. Thank god for Butterfree <3

Well he loves to try things out anyway. For example, he currently has blue hair, so he’s definitely not afraid of things like these, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s going full Drag one day just to try it out I wouldn’t know what to think about it though, I mean, I’m into men after all But it would be fun for once!
Yeah, Netflix cutting you off at Episode 50 is unfortunate :-? You don't even get to see Ash earn all 8 Badges that way! I didn't think you'd actually dive into Yellow, so I'm glad to see you did! Ha, yeah, you'd expect Butterfree to be a terrible match-up against Brock's rocks, but A.) neither of his Pokémon actually have any Rock-type moves in Gen I and B.) "Confusion" >>>>>

This is perfect, actually! He just needs to do some Gaga drag, and then you can finally fulfill your ultimate erotic fantasy... ;)

We went to see a museum, lots of the city, lots of little shops & restaurants… and… spent a lot of time in the hotel room The coolest thing there is definitely that you can rent a bike for the whole day and drive through the city with it, so fun! What’s also important is… I guess you know what Amsterdam is also popular for? You can smell that everywhere, especially in the ‘core’ of the town and if you’re not into it, then I’m not 100% sure if you will like it because you get confronted by it everywhere
Ah, right, I think you'd mentioned his roommate situation a while back! They're close/longtime friends, go on trips together? Granted, I can totally understand his roomies getting jealous of (and tired of hearing) all the action you two have...

I went to college in (and still live near) San Francisco, so I'm pretty familiar with that odor! I'm not that into using it myself (I'd rather just drink ), but the smell doesn't bother me. Did you and your man partake in any of that during your visit? ;)

I like the song but damn I hate it when artists don’t release the obvious stuff. Another artist would be Katy Perry with “Roulette” (on “Witness”) or “Legendary Lover”/”Walking On Air” (on “Prism”) :x
Ha, well...I see Halsey's situation a little differently, since I love "Alone" so much. I definitely see the hit potential in "Strangers," but I think "Alone" has plenty of potential too, so I'm OK with them pushing it now (and hopefully "Strangers" fourth, since it seems like "Sorry" was just a random-video-situation.)

        That remix, though...

Aw, it's annoying that it conflicts with Katy, but getting to attend a release party for his new EP sounds pretty cool The perks of dating someone in the industry!

I didn't realize her streaming situation was so dire Here in the US, "No Excuses" debuted at No. 3 on Digital Songs...but not even Top 50 on Streaming Songs.

        • Those drums in your new No. 1 get you pumped right from the start!
        • Speaking of starts, it caught me off-guard to hear your No. 2 begin with Bible quotes Overall, I might end up liking this one even more than "Out Of The Darkness."
        • Lovin' the Top 5 debut for "Delicate" That video, though There's definitely a cuteness/sweetness to it, but it's not at all what I envisioned/hoped for the song. I'm pretty protective of "Delicate," since I've really loved it ever since the album dropped, so it would've been tough for any video to truly do it justice in my eyes (and what she actually gave us doesn't come close.)
        • I'm not sure if anything could've made Meaning Of Life into a massively successful era chart-wise, but single choices like "I Don't Think About You" aren't helping the situation.

        Yet another immense chart, Tansike!

It really is Not sure if I still want to continue watching it now knowing that it’ll end so soon anyway. I didn’t have time since last week to watch more episodes and the motivation isn’t the same anymore now… also, I prefer playing Yellow instead of watching Pokémon (and I can’t do both at the same time as I enjoy both too much to not fully concentrate on one thing). Yeah… Confusion really saved my battle! I’m not much further now, just left the Mt. Moon on Monday evening and didn’t play more since then, but I’ll catch up tonight. I’m currently unsure about my Team – it’s currently Pikachu, Butterfree and Pidgey. At first I wanted to do it like Ash in the Anime, however a Clefairy just appeared a few steps before leaving Mt. Moon so I immediately catched it and somehow I would love to play with it as well… but then I would have no idea which one to put out of my Team as I love them all and I know I’ll get all three starters soon

Eh… I’m not sure if I want that

Yes. Well the roommate isn’t the problem, or not really…

Ah okay Hmm… you say ‘I'm not that into using it myself’? Sounds differently than a ‘I’m not into using it’ Nah, joking. I guess everyone already did it, or most people at least, especially when one lives near to a place where it’s popular. As for me and my man… well, maybe? of course we did

If I remember correctly, it was “Alone” that went to #1 on your charts once you checked out the album, right? So I’m obviously not surprised to hear that… but for lots of people “Strangers” was the obvious choice, plus it has the most amount of views on YouTube for its Audio video. Anyways, “Alone” still is a good choice and I also see lots of hit potential in it.

…so I guess you’re not the biggest fan of the remix?

We’ll see what I’ll do in the end. I think I may go to the Katy concert as I paid a lot for it and can’t sell the tickets to someone else or give them away Yeah, sounds interesting that EP release party, however, funny thing is I see it as something completely normal. I always imagined how it would be to be a bit more into all that industry stuff and now that I am it leaves me surprisingly cold Also, I’m not the biggest fan of being around many people, especially when they know me and there will be many people who know me as I’m his partner yet I don’t really know them, so I’ll always feel observed… there’ll also be many people on the Katy concert (even more, of course) but it’ll be different as I will know no one so it doesn’t matter how I’d act.

That’s really awful. And she keeps on flopping on streaming, which slowly also has a negative effect on iTunes/Airplay. It really doesn’t look good for her at the moment

They really do! Unfortunately, similar to their previous song, I’m getting way too fast over “The Space Between” it seems… Thanks for checking it out, though!

Well, yeah, it’s also not what I was expecting, but other than that, I really enjoy “Crash And Burn”. But I think these quotes make the song weaker…

Oh, I was excited to hear your thoughts about the video for “Delicate” and I didn’t get disappointed – as I feel similar with you. It’s nice for a change but absolutely not suitable for “Delicate”. I was hoping for another “Style”-ish video. It’s a shame how she started the era with a flawless video like LWYMMD and then all follow-ups were absolutely disappointing.

+1 to Kelly. “I Don’t Think About You” is a nice song for sure but I don’t see it as something that supports her album. I hope I’ll be wrong though, as I’m always here for some success for Kelly.

          Thanks a lot

            week 12/2018 – 22 march 2018 first concert effect of 2018

            • Singles Top40

Four weeks ago, I stated that it was the busiest week of the year and in a long time overall, as 11 new entries and one re-entry made it to the Singles Top40. But forget about all that, because this week it’s been much busier and much more intense. There are a massive 11 regular debuts this week, making it already very busy, but the first concert effect of the year also brings one new and five re-entries onto the Top40, so a total of 17 songs from last week are not charting anymore! Usually it’s only that busy during ESC week, when all the entries arrive on my charts.

Despite all the competition, the number one of this week is a rather big surprise, as it’s by an artist who never got a hit on my charts so far: Louisa. The singer originally started her career with the full name Louisa Johnson, and she won the British version of X-Factor back in 2016. She has released three singles on her own, a collaboration with Olly Murs and was featured on a track by Clean Bandit, but none of them made it onto my charts, so the new song “YES” featuring 2 Chainz is not only her very first notation ever, but immediately also becomes a top hit for the singer.

As mentioned, the first concert effect of the year has a big influence on this weeks charts, and the lucky artist is Evanescence. The band made a stop in Switzerland on their ‘Synthesis World Tour’, and as a fan of them I obviously attended it, and it was fantastic! The biggest boost goes to their second biggest hit ever, “My Immortal”, which was released back in 2003. Since My Charts only started in 2007, it never made it onto it so far, and so it’s a new arrival at #3. Amy Lee’s solo single “Speak To Me” already became a surprising hit last year when it reached #4, and it’s re-peaking at the exact same position as it’s back at #4 this week. The concert effect brings a third Top10 arrival, as the ballad “Lost In Paradise” comes back to #8. “My Heart Is Broken” (#11) and their biggest hit on my charts “Lithium” (#12) nearly made it to the Top10 as well. Last but not least, their latest single release “Imperfection” also got a boost and is able to re-enter the charts at #23.

Now on to the other new arrivals of the week. Halsey gets a fourth entry for her “hopeless fountain kingdom”, as the newly released remix of “Alone” featuring Big Sean and Stefflon Don is new at #6. It follows “Now Or Never” (#3), “Bad At Love” (#8) and “Sorry” (#1, 16-21 this week). Swiss Schlager singer Beatrice Egli just released her seventh studio album “Wohlfühlgarantie”, which is likely to be yet another Top3 success in all German speaking countries. She also gets her sixth appearance on my charts, as the new single “Verliebt, verlobt, verflixt nochmal” makes a great debut at #13, which immediately makes it her highest peaking single to date. It surpasses the #14 peak of “Federleicht”, which showed amazing longevity last year and it still made it to 15 weeks on the charts and a Gold certification. But it’s her only hit to date, as all other four chart entries missed the Top20 and never charted longer than for three weeks. Following Finland and Australia, Israel has the third Eurovision Song Contest chart entry of the year, as Netta also makes it into the upper half this week with her entry “Toy” (#16).

Charlie Puth’s second album is still two months away, and now he’s already getting his third chart entry with the Kehlani featured collaboration “Done For Me” (#27). Kylie Minogue also makes the Top30, as her new single “Stop Me From Falling” enters the charts at #30. Similar to last week, there are once again quite a few new entries in the #31 - #40 range – five it is this week! Trixie Mattel, an American Drag Queen and winner of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 3’, gets her first notation ever with the country-folk single “Moving Parts” (#33). Also new are Kygo & Miguel’s “Remind Me To Forget” (#35), RaeLynn’s “Queens Don’t” (#36), Anna Känzig’s “Dream On” (#39) and The Chainsmokers’ “Everybody Hates Me” (#40).

The rest of the best: Lo & Leduc’s “079” rises 8-2, to become their highest peaking hit ever on my charts. The song just reached the top spot in Switzerland. Marshmello & Anne-Marie’s “Friends” slips 3-5, My Indigo’s “Crash And Burn” is down 2-7, Auri’s “The Space Between” drops 1-9 and Taylor Swift’s “Delicate” falls 4-10.

It’s not a big surprise to see many fallers this week, and weeks like this show which songs are able to keep their success and which songs are just a thing for a very few weeks. Some which may be in the second pot are “No Excuses” by Meghan Trainor (6-15), “Mad Love” by Sean Paul, David Guetta & Becky G (10-22), “You Owe Me” by The Chainsmokers (11-25) and “Queens” by Saara Aalto (7-29), while “We Got Something They Don’t” by Shania Twain (15-17), “Lay You Down” by Nina Kraljic (14-19) and “The Joke” by Brandi Carlile (12-20) may all be in the first pot, as they’re not falling as much as others this week despite already charting for a while. Nina’s single even goes Gold this week, being only her second song to do so following the Platinum certified “Lighthouse”. Even more surprising than the already mentioned drops are the ones for “The Middle” and “We Are…”, as the collaboration by Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey dives 25-37 and the song by Noah Cyrus & MØ tumbles down 20-38.

Lo & Leduc’s “079” is the biggest climber, while Saara Aalto’s “Queens” is the biggest loser this week.

            • Album Top20

With that slayage on the Singles Top40 it’s not really a surprise to see Evanescence also taking over the Album Top20 with their albums. Their latest release “Synthesis” shoots up 11-1 following its early re-entry a week ago, and now it even becomes their third chart topper as it just missed the top spot last year. However, back then I already expected it to still take the number one following the concert effect and now it also happened. Their second studio album “The Open Door” came out in 2006, and my album charts only started in 2010, so it never made it onto the charts so far and is now a new entry at #3. Their self-titled studio album from 2011 gives the band a third chart entry as it’s back at #11.

Apart from the Evanescence craziness, there are another two new arrivals on the charts this week. Swiss Schlager singer Beatrice Egli not only gets her highest peaking entry on the singles charts this week, but also on the album charts as “Wohlfühlgarantie” starts at #5. Her last album “Kick im Augenblick” peaked at #10. The other debut is the second mini album called “One Stone” by Trixie Mattel. Trixie is best known for being a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race and she also just won the latest All Stars season. On “One Stone”, she’s going country-folk, which works for her as she enters the charts at #7.

The rest of the Top10: Nightwish’s “Decades” dips 1-2, Brandi Carlile’s “By The Way, I Forgive You” is down 2-4, Lo & Leduc’s “Update 4.0” falls 3-6, Ashley Tisdale’s “Music Sessions, Vol. 1” EP descends 5-8, Faun’s “XV – Best Of” recovers 14-9 and The Dark Element’s “The Dark Element” drops 4-10.

There are obviously a few albums which leave the upper half, though one of them is really worth a mention, and that’s “Waves” by Rachel Platten. The set falls 9-14 after 11 consecutive weeks in the upper half, which brings its total weeks in the Top10 to 18, which is quite strong for an album with only two singles releases so far. While Shania Twain’s “Now” goes Gold this week (15-18), Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” re-enters the Top20 at #19.

Seems that you are enjoying this one. Obviously a very catchy song, but for me it is relatively lightweight.

                • Glad to see that you enjoyed the Evanescence-live-experience, I had the pleasure a couple of times a few years ago!

But I'm wondering how you decide which of their songs to add to your hitlist, for instance was the performance of 'Bring me to life' a disappointment or why didn't you include their biggest hit?

Yes, i think it's a guilty pleasure. I checked it out due to the hype and i didn't get disappointed. Will be interesting to hear all other entries to see if this is really in for the win.

Thank you - and nice to hear you also were able to enjoy them live in the past!

Ah good question. Basically, all singles are able to get onto my charts, but it definitely depends on what i enjoyed and what not. The "Bring Me To Life" performance was nice, but the song itself was never one of my faves, which is why it wasn't a standout on the concert for me. Also, i like the 'Synthesis' version of the song even less than the original, and if one would have made it onto my list, it would have been the 'Synthesis' version (for obvious reasons, i guess). It wasn't that far off though as i considered it to make it, but there were so many other new songs out last week that i had to leave it out.

                    • Just listened to your #1, and the production is so big that it envelopes the rest of the song. Louisa also sounds like a poor man's Christina Aguilera on it. The lyrics are also meh.

I am loving the Evanescence entry, though! "My Immortal" is my third favourite song from them after "Bring Me to Life" and "What You Want". Amy Lee is a fantastic vocalist. I'm happy you got to see the band live.

However, I'm listening to it as I type, and it's sounding better than it did the first time I heard it. I always like when singers spell words out for me.

Thanks for checking out the latest #1, even though it doesn't make the best impression on you. I get what you mean with her sounding like a poor man's Christina, as the track overall sounds very Christina-ish, but also like a little sister of PCD's "When I Grow Up", which is probably why i enjoy it so much. It really takes me back to the pop music of 2008 <3

Glad you're loving "My Immortal" - it's such a stunning song. Surprised to hear "What You Want" is in your Top3 though, as it's even my least favorite single of "Evanescence" - but i still enjoy it a lot.

Very delighted to hear that feedback for Auri's "The Space Between"! Especially the chorus is so haunting, and i'm glad you checked it out & liked it so much. Their album just came out, so the song will rise again on next weeks chart...

I'm not that impressed, sadly. "Dancing" really got me hooked on the first two weeks, however i got over it rather quickly. Now "Stop Me From Falling" is nice but doesn't impress me at all. They're both far from being bad/weak, but i feel like she could do so much better. Both songs are more like happy-poppy-sing-along tunes and not the dance gems i'm usually expecting from her.

                          • Hey Tansike

Well just at your chart this week.

1 (NEW) Louisa feat. 2 Chainz – YES

I never expected to see Louisa get that #1 in your chart. That's such an incredible achievement. YES is such a fierce bop and is also #4 in my chart this week - unlikely to climb any higher but that's still an amazing peak.

                            2 (8) Lo & Leduc – 079

I'm intrigued by this. Shame it's not on YouTube ( ) as i'd like to hear this purely because it's outselling the rest of the top 10 in Switzerland so it must be very popular? Who are Lo & Leduc and how would you describe the song?

3 (NEW) Evanescence – My Immortal

Gosh When did you start compiling your own chart? I'd have thought this would be a re-entry. But what a hauntingly beautiful song. I adore this, its by far my favourite Evanescence single. <3

27 (NEW) Charlie Puth feat. Kehlani – Done For Me

This is such a throwback to early 90s US pop r'n'b a bit like the style that Bruno Mars was going for, only this is more pure pop. It's a good song but it doesn't strike me a classic song.

30 (NEW) Kylie Minogue – Stop Me From Falling

Nice to see Kylie entering with a former #1 in my chart. I suspect you're quite as excited as the prospect of Golden but i'm loving the two singles and based on clips i've watched on YouTube there should be some more gems on the album.

I'm pretty much the same way when it comes to not watching TV (or listening to music) while playing Pokémon so that I can stay more focused/immersed in the game (unless I'm doing something really tedious/repetitive like level-grinding, or waiting for something rare to appear.) An Ash-inspired playthrough is definitely a fun idea! I did one when Yellow became available on the Virtual Console (though I didn't release or give away any Pokémon like he did with Butterfree and Primeape/Rasaff.) Speaking of Butterfree, it was actually pretty useful throughout that whole journey thanks to "Psychic," "Mega Drain," and "Sleep Powder." I took on the Elite Four with Pikachu, Butterfree, Charizard/Glurak, Kingler, Primeape/Rasaff, and Tauros. I can understand the temptation with Clefairy, though, so create whatever team will keep you hooked on the game! ;)

Well...if he ever does agree to do it, just make sure to record it all for me!

I guess everyone already did it, or most people at least, especially when one lives near to a place where it’s popular. As for me and my man… well, maybe? of course we did
Oh? Sounds like there's more to the story, but I don't want to pressure you to share too much!

Ha, yeah, I tried it a few times in college and it just never seemed worth it to me (so much coughing, plus burning my finger with the lighter) I'd still be willing to try some edibles now, though. Hopefully you and your man got to enjoy some top-quality stuff there! ;)

Anyways, “Alone” still is a good choice and I also see lots of hit potential in it.

…so I guess you’re not the biggest fan of the remix?
Yup, exactly! Hopefully her team has big plans in the works for making "Strangers" the fourth single. I'm OK with it having to wait a little longer while "Alone" (hopefully) smashes, but it'll be a real shame if it NEVER gets a chance!

I don't like how so much of the original got cut out to make room for both guests to have their own new verses. A lot of great lines and pieces to the story that she's telling were completely removed in the single version ("but if you ask why I'm distant, oh, I'm runnin' away...") - but if it helps the song become a hit, I can forgive it (and I'll just stick with the original myself.) ;)

Hmmm...yeah, the way you describe it, it just sounds like having to go to your partner's office/work party You have to be extra-polite and professional the whole time, especially since this is your man's job (and dream), so it's not like you'd be attending a real "party" at all.

Though I'm sure there's plenty of people "observing" you no matter where you go ;) So stylish!

                              • Is this your No. 2? Just checking that it's actually the right song, since it looks like it's hard to find a proper/official upload on YouTube (and I've been wrong before...)

                                Hey Jake

Well… me neither! It’s her first entry ever on my charts, and this got me by surprise. Such an awesome pop tune, like a little sister of PCD’s “When I Grow Up”, which is still among my favorite pop songs ever. Glad to hear it’s also so successful on your charts – and hopefully the UK will follow soon

I'm intrigued by this. Shame it's not on YouTube ( ) as i'd like to hear this purely because it's outselling the rest of the top 10 in Switzerland so it must be very popular? Who are Lo & Leduc and how would you describe the song?
Aw… I hope they put it on YouTube soon. It’s crazy how there’s nothing on there, not even an audio, while everything else by them got uploaded Yes, it’s currently very popular. It’s basically the first time ever a song by a swiss artist got onto the charts on its own due to streaming (they didn’t promote this, but another song from their latest release). It got as high as #21 on the official charts based on streaming numbers alone, and then they released it on iTunes and now it’s #1 on the official swiss charts since two weeks & counting, as it’s still #1 on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify – crazy!
They’re a hip hop duo who got their breakthrough over here in 2014. Their debut album spent 91 weeks on the album charts, the follow-up is currently spending its 43 week on the charts. But “079” is only their second real hit, their first one was “Jung verdammt”, which was already part of an FSC a while ago:

                                [youtube:udrvb351]4k1kSXpSRuA[/youtube:udrvb351]

What I love about “079” are its lyrics. ‘079’ is a popular area code for the phone number over here, and they are singing (or rapping…) about someone who met a girl who only said these three numbers from her phone number, so now that someone has to find out the rest. He’s trying all possible numbers out until there’s just one left, so he tries out that number and she’s on the phone… and because of that, he doesn’t hear a streetcar… and he gets hit. Then the last chorus doesn’t start with ‘079’, but with ‘144’, which is the code for the ambulance over here…

Gosh When did you start compiling your own chart? I'd have thought this would be a re-entry. But what a hauntingly beautiful song. I adore this, its by far my favourite Evanescence single. <3
Officially in 2007, inofficially in 2006, so after „My Immortal“ came out. And it never made an entry so far, also because I never attended a concert by them or there was never another event which brought this onto my charts… I’m kinda glad there was finally one, as this deserves an entry. One of the most beautiful songs ever, and I’m so glad you’re also loving it!

This is such a throwback to early 90s US pop r'n'b a bit like the style that Bruno Mars was going for, only this is more pure pop. It's a good song but it doesn't strike me a classic song.
Kinda agree… it’s quite good but nothing outstanding. Still, I think I may end up liking this more than “How Long”.

Nice to see Kylie entering with a former #1 in my chart. I suspect you're quite as excited as the prospect of Golden but i'm loving the two singles and based on clips i've watched on YouTube there should be some more gems on the album.
I saw that this was a #1 hit on your charts, so congrats to Kylie for getting the top spot. I’m not that excited but still looking forward to the album with the hope to get a few better songs than this

Nice to hear we’re the same there! Sometimes I’m also playing and just keep the TV on, but then it has to be something that I don’t really ‘have’ to watch, like TBBT. It happens way too often that my TV is on for basically nothing
Re-watching the Anime was the reason why I wanted to play Yellow again & also why I wanted to do an Ash-inspired playthrough (because I loved the episodes I saw & how he got his team together etc), however now that I haven’t watched the Anime for some days (because I know it’s ending way too soon anyway…) I also don’t have the same motivation playing it that way as before, so I think I’ll just do it the way I feel. I also remembered that you told me that you were doing it too, so that was an inspiration as well, but since my motivation to play isn’t the biggest overall (as it was nearly zero until three weeks ago), I think these limits only make the motivation even smaller so…
Wow, your Elite Four team sounds awesome! So far, my team hasn’t changed much, except that I got Charmander and Bulbasaur now, and Pidgey evolved.

I guess you’re not someone who smokes anyway, so I’m not surprised to hear this. Since I also smoke in general, I don’t have that much ‘problems’ also doing the other stuff. I quite enjoy the effect, but it’s also VERY exhausting in a way. Trying out edibles is a nice idea. Never had something to eat with weed in it, but I tried out mushrooms and THAT was funny (they were absolutely disgusting though, but I take that as a good thing as otherwise one may get addicted).

When I saw that there are two artists on the remix I was surprised and interested to hear how they would include them, so in the end I’m not surprised at how much they cut off from the original. I still prefer the solo version, but I have to admit the remix flows better than expected, especially Big Sean’s part. Would have been cool if Stefflon Don’s part would have had the same melody/beat as well. But I completely get what you mean…

What exactly did I share? xD Anyways, “YES” was such a positive surprise last week. Especially because I NEVER got into something by Louisa, so this is not only the first time that I enjoy a song from her, but I enjoy it even a lot. Also, as you say, I love that PCD vibes and “When I Grow Up” is still by far my favorite single by them, which is probably also a reason why I love “YES” so much. It’s like a little sister of “When I Grow Up”

The video is already gone, but I clicked on it last night when I couldn’t sleep & saw that you replied to my charts… and yes, it was the real song! No idea why there isn’t an official audio or so on YouTube, as everything else from their latest release is there. Doesn’t make sense at all, especially since it’s so popular over here at the moment.

Very glad to hear that you’re enjoying “My Immortal” as well! As for the other entries… I think you know “Lithium”, as it’s a single of “The Open Door”. “My Heart Is Broken” and “Lost In Paradise” were singles from their third album “Evanescence”, while “Imperfection” is from “Synthesis”. Actually, it was the very first time I went to a concert just by my own. But it was good that way, as I need to enjoy Evanescence on my own, as I have some really special connections to a few tracks by them.

Not really sure about a new peak… #6 seems to remain its peak, at least for now. I think Halsey already suffers a little bit from having had so much success for the album on my charts & getting played a lot last year, so a new single doesn’t have the same effect as it would have had months ago. So despite ADORING “Strangers”, I wouldn’t be even too sure about its performance. “Sorry” already had the same problem, as it’s in my personal Top3 of the album yet it’s already falling out of the Top20 after so few weeks…

Nice to hear you’re enjoying Kylie’s two songs so far. As you say, I’m not that impressed yet, but I’m still looking forward to her album.

                                  Thank you so much

                                    week 13/2018 – 29 march 2018 Auri, George, Lissie & more

                                    • Singles Top40

Five new albums are able to enter the Album Top20, so these new releases also bring some entries on the Singles Top40. Apart from that, there are only three regular debuts this week, with two of them being by the same artist, so it’s much less busier than in the previous weeks.

The top spot goes to “The Space Between” by Auri, which climbs back up 9-1. Its chartrun is really weird so far and this must be the biggest return to the top spot after leaving it just a week ago, however, the track got a massive boost through the release of Auri’s self-titled debut album. Their former number one and previous single “Night 13” makes a re-entry at #14. Their closest competitors were Louisa’s “YES”, which dips 1-2, and Beatrice Egli’s “Verliebt, verlobt, verflixt nochmal”, which becomes the first Top10 hit for the Swiss singer by jumping 13-3.

From all new and re-entries, the highest one was able to get into the Top10, as it’s “In My Blood”, a new single by Shawn Mendes. The track debuts at #7, which immediately makes it not only his highest peaking entry ever, but also his first Top10 single, as his previous highest peaking single “Mercy” stopped at #20. He went with a similar strategy like Ed Sheeran did a year ago, as Shawn also made a double release with a second song called “Lost In Japan”, which enters the charts at #28 as his sixth chart entry overall. David Guetta and Sia already collaborated on a few occasions, and now they’re back with yet another song called “Flames”, which makes the upper half at #16. Just missing the Top20 are “Love Blows” by Lissie (#21) and “Paradise” by George Ezra” (#22), which both are able to enter the charts due to album releases. Lissie already got three entries back in 2016, with “Daughters” being her highest peaking one so far (#15), while George Ezra got two entries prior “Paradise”, with “Blame It On Me” being his highest peaking entry to date (#20). Another album release is responsible for the debut of “Is It Love?” by Rea Garvey featuring Kool Savas at #38, which is Rea’s second and Kool Savas’ only entry so far. Last but not least, Leaves’ Eyes are back at #33 with “Across The Sea”.

The rest of the best: Evanescence’s “My Immortal” slips 3-4, followed by the newly Gold certified “Friends” by Marshmello & Anne-Marie (5-5). Lo & Leduc’s “079” falls 2-6, Halsey’s “Alone” is down 6-8, My Indigo’s “Crash And Burn” drops 7-9 and Taylor Swift’s “Delicate” stays at #10.

The concert effect for Evanescence has been big last week, and it still has a big influence into this weeks charts as well, as all entries which made it to the charts through the concert a week ago are still in the Top40. Amy Lee’s “Speak To Me” (4-11) plus the bands singles “My Heart Is Broken” (11-12), “Lost In Paradise” (8-13) and “Lithium” (12-15) are all even still in the upper half, with only “Imperfection” losing lots of steam (23-37).

Apart from that, it’s not the most exciting week. Brandi Carlile gets her very first singles certification as “The Joke” goes Gold this week (20-18). Also going Gold is “My Way” by One Bit & Noah Cyrus (28-35).

Beatrice Egli’s “Verliebt, verlobt, verflixt nochmal” is the biggest climber while Evanescence’ “Imperfection” is the biggest loser this week.

                                    • Album Top20

The rock/alternative artists keep on smashing on my Album Top20. Following Leaves’ Eyes, The Dark Element, Nightwish, Evanescence and to a lesser extent Brandi Carlile, it’s Auri who takes the lead with their self-titled debut album “Auri” this week. Auri is a project by Nightwish mastermind Tuomas Holopainen, fellow Nightwish band member Troy Donockley and Tuomas’ wife and singer Johanna Kurkela. And since they already scored two number one hits on my Singles Top40 with “Night 13” and “The Space Between”, the entry right at the top for the album doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Evanescence’s “Synthesis” is still going on strong as it’s only down 1-2. Nightwish makes the rocky Top3 perfect as their “Decades” also just slips 2-3.

Apart from Auri, there are another four arrivals on the Top20 this week, making it quite a busy week. However, only two more made the upper half, with “Staying At Tamara’s” by George Ezra (#7) and “Castles” by Lissie (#8). This is George’s first album notation, while Lissie already scored a number one album with “My Wild West” two years ago.

The rest of the Top10: Brandi Carlile’s “By The Way, I Forgive You” stays at #4 and not only her single “The Joke”, but also the album itself goes Gold this week. This is already her third Gold certified album in a row now. Evanescence’s “The Open Door” is down 3-5, followed by Beatrice Egli’s “Wohlfühlgarantie” (5-6). Lo & Leduc’s “Update 4.0” (6-9) and Faun’s “XV – Best Of” (9-10) make the Top10 complete.

As mentioned, there are another two new arrivals in the lower half of the charts, and they’re coming in at #11 and #12. Rea Garvey’s new album “Neon” debuts at #11, which is a few spots better than the #17 peak of his previous album “Prism”, while Australian singer Dami Im enters the charts at #12 with the cover album “I Hear A Song”. Other notable movements this week are Trixie Mattel’s “One Stone” (7-13), The Dark Element’s “The Dark Element” (10-14) and Ashley Tisdale’s “Music Sessions, Vol. 1” EP (8-15) as they’re all falling out of the Top10. The Dark Element’s release is doing so for its first time in its 20th charting week.

I also remembered that you told me that you were doing it too, so that was an inspiration as well, but since my motivation to play isn’t the biggest overall (as it was nearly zero until three weeks ago), I think these limits only make the motivation even smaller so... Wow, your Elite Four team sounds awesome! So far, my team hasn’t changed much, except that I got Charmander and Bulbasaur now, and Pidgey evolved.
That doesn't seem so bad, though, since a lot of people prefer having some kind of background noise most of the time (like people who go to cafés to get work done, or keep the TV on to fall asleep). I'm the complete opposite, since I need total silence if I'm trying to fall asleep or concentrate/immerse myself in something (Well, besides any music/sounds in the game itself.)

**Sigh** WAY too many artists/songs I love struggle on Spotify "Him & I" is still pretty big on American radio right now, so as that (and "Bad At Love") continue to die down, hopefully more of those spins will start going to "Alone" instead.

It's a tough call (especially depending on how your partner would feel about you choosing Katy). You've got my support either way <3 Just let me know what ends up happening!

No idea why there isn’t an official audio or so on YouTube, as everything else from their latest release is there. Doesn’t make sense at all, especially since it’s so popular over here at the moment.
Yeah, it just seems like they're denying themselves potential global exposure :-? Does it not have an official/proper video at all, then? Or it's just been blocked most places?

As for the other entries… I think you know “Lithium”, as it’s a single of “The Open Door”. “My Heart Is Broken” and “Lost In Paradise” were singles from their third album “Evanescence”, while “Imperfection” is from “Synthesis”. Actually, it was the very first time I went to a concert just by my own. But it was good that way, as I need to enjoy Evanescence on my own, as I have some really special connections to a few tracks by them.
Ah, right on! Sounds like you still enjoyed the concert just as much that way, though (perhaps even more?)

Damn If only she'd moved right along to "Alone" instead of dropping that random "Sorry" video first, maybe "Alone" could've been the one to debut at No. 1 here...

Woah, that's quite the rebound for "The Space Between." Is No. 9 ---> No. 1 the biggest rebound to the top ever (not counting sounds that re-entered the chart at No. 1?)
                                        • Wasn't expecting "My Immortal" to stay so stable. On one hand, it's a modern classic that I love...but I'd also like to see it step aside so some newer/more current stuff can shine (like "Alone.") ;)
                                        • I owe Jake's chart for nudging me to check out "Paradise" a week or so ago, and I'm really glad I did! "Budapest" was a minor hit on my chart years ago, but I hadn't been paying any attention to George since then. "Paradise" is crazy catchy (with a nice touch of quirky.)
                                        • Ouch - poor "Capital Letters" is really tumbling now after holding so steady inside your Top 10 for a while.

Yet another chart that can fill any void, Tansike!

Yes for 'Yes' and a big no for Netta, I've got the feeling of a few beats just dropped in the middle of nowhere. Lack of concept.

True. But I mean, my computer is basically running all the time as well. So sometimes there’s like computer, TV and game boy… it’s not the best thing to do IMO, I mean I could save electricity if I wouldn’t do it that way… Funny thing is, you mentioned falling asleep, and I need total silence there too.

Yeah I get that. That’s also why I thought it would be cool doing it that way, as it makes things much more interesting, at least sometimes. You would play with Pokémon you’d never play otherwise and finally you wouldn’t win EVERY battle, I guess. Ah nice to hear that about Sawsbuck! Yes, I mentioned how much I liked it! I also love its type combination of Normal and Grass, plus it has some awesome moves – basically the ones you just mentioned. I get why you wouldn’t use Jump Kick though!

Speaking of Pokémon, I was a lot busier playing my Yellow lately and now I’m a bit further. I have four badges and beat Giovanni for the first time. My team is Pikachu, Butterfree, Pidgeotto, Ivysaur, Charmeleon and Wartortle, so no surprises there. However, they’re all between level 27 and 31, which is quite low for that point of the game, at least compared to how I remember my previous playthroughs. Once I already had a Venusaur battling against Lt. Surge…

Yes, I did. It was actually on the trip to Amsterdam, so with my man. The trip was similar to being drunk, but without the negative side effects. That’s the closest description I could give. We ate them on midday and went to an art museum in the afternoon and it was so good there! Like, I never experienced something like that in my life. All colors just seemed so different, and they made such a huge impression on me, so did the pictures. It was kinda weird walking around like that though, as I’m not sure if I still walked ‘normal’ (more like a drunken person, I guess). After that, we went to the hotel room and effect was still there until around 11 pm, when we fell asleep. Interesting was that I expected to have something like a hangover the next morning, however I was so fit like I wasn’t for ages!
I think you really should try it out with a person you like. I’m not sure if I still would have enjoyed it when I would have tried them on my own. At a point we were just lying next to each other and enjoyed the time together, without doing anything else… for like two hours!

I’m having the same problem! Plus, the artists who do well on Spotify are usually quite bad (Post Malone, Drake, many other ‘rappers’…). I hope so too. “Alone” is back to #179 on iTunes now, so hopefully that’s a good sign.

Well I imagine he would say it’s okay if I go to the Katy concert but it would be obvious that he would love me to attend his concert. Thank you <3

I’m not sure if there would be a potential global exposure since they’re singing on Swiss-German. There’s no video at all, which is very weird due to two things: First, it’s a big hit over here, and second, all other tracks from “Update 4.0” have a video/audio on YouTube. It just doesn’t make sense!

I think even more than I would have enjoyed it with someone else

I’m not too sure about that, as “Alone” never was one of my faves to start with

So I guess you’re interested in songs which went to #1, fell down and returned to #1 – that’s what you mean with rebound to the top, right? If so, I just checked it and here are all rebounds from outside the Top5, not counting complete re-entries:

                                            [spoiler:2dbkqds3]#25 -> #1 “Élan” by Nightwish (2015)
#22 -> #1 “Symphony” by Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson (2017)
                                            #10 -> #1 “Amaranth” by Nightwish (2007)
                                            #9 -> #1 “The Space Between” by Auri (2018)
                                            #8 -> #1 “Lvgvs” by Eluveitie (2017)
                                            #6 -> #1 “Élan” by Nightwish (2015)
                                            #6 -> #1 “Lithium” by Evanescence (2007)[/spoiler:2dbkqds3]

The interesting thing there is that there were two rebounds in 2007, none in the years 2008 – 2014 and from 2015 onwards it happened a few times again. Also, apart from “Symphony”, all tracks are from the symphonic rock genre, which is an interesting coincidence. Also, the biggest two rebounds were due to concert effects, the two from 2007 were due to no particular reason and all others were due to an album release effect.

Well, “My Immortal” IS new to my chart Don’t worry, I obviously get what you mean, but the concert really had an amazing effect on “My Immortal” and since it’s quite old and I never really listened to it as much as I did to the stuff from their second album onwards, it’s benefitting much more than the other songs. As for “Alone”… I think I’m already quite over it. I don’t think it will get more than two weeks in the Top10, unless the video will be amazing

Glad you like “Paradise” – it’s a nice song, indeed. I also already noticed it being a big hit on Jake’s chart.

I know – similar fate to “My Way” by One Bit and Noah Cyrus. Also, Hailee’s “Let Me Go” already had a similar ‘problem’. But there’ll be good news for “Capital Letters” this week

                                            Thank you so much

Glad you enjoy "YES" as well. I still have some hope that it may become a hit for Louisa. As for Netta, i think it's a catchy, nice pop song. However, i'm currently over it, so it will fall a lot this week.

                                                week 14/2018 – 5 april 2018 Hey Kitty Girl!

                                                • Singles Top40

It’s an exciting week when it comes to the top of the charts, as three songs were in for this week’s top spot and they all battled with each other so much, that it even changed again in the last minute. In the end, the lucky one may be a rather random one, as it’s “Kitty Girl” by RuPaul which enters the charts at number one. RuPaul is not only a legendary Drag Queen, but also hosts her own show ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’, and the third season of ‘All Stars’ just ended around two weeks ago, with the final four Kennedy Davenport, Shangela, BeBe Zahara Benet and Trixie Mattel doing a remix for “Kitty Girl”, which was originally released by RuPaul in 2017. The remix becomes the first entry for most of them, except Trixie Mattel, who just got her first entry two weeks ago with “Moving Parts”, which leaves the Top40 this week.

For most of the time, it looked like Auri would get a third week atop the charts, but “The Space Between” dips 1-2 now, followed by a second new entry. Canadian R&B-singer The Weeknd is finally back with new music, as he just dropped a six-track-EP called “My Dear Melancholy,”, which spawned the single “Call Out My Name”. Apart from his collaboration with Ariana Grande on her “Love Me Harder”, he has yet to reach the top spot with a song on his own, but “Call Out My Name” becomes his seventh Top5 arrival at #3.

There are another seven new arrivals and one re-entry on the charts this week, with another new track making the Top10. Following “Too Good At Goodbyes” and “One Last Song”, “Pray” was picked as the third single of Sam Smith’s second album “The Thrill Of It All”. The track got ‘remixed’ with additional verses by Logic, and the track becomes an immediate success by arriving at #5. US country-pop singer Kacey Musgraves gets her very first notation with “High Horse” (#15), while Spanish-German singer Alvaro Soler is back with a new song called “La Cintura” which becomes his third Top20 hit (#16). Also new in the Top20 is Cardi B, who also collects her third Top20 entry as a lead artist with “Be Careful” (#18). The final three debuts are “Leiser” by LEA (#30), “Curious” by Hayley Kiyoko (#34) and “Nostalgia” by MØ (#37). The mentioned re-entry belongs to Faun, as their “Feuer” comes back to #25 for a ninth charting week.

The rest of the best: Louisa & 2 Chainz’ “YES” slips 2-4, Marshmello & Anne-Marie’s “Friends” leaves the Top5 for its first time after seven weeks (5-6), Beatrice Egli’s “Verliebt, verlobt, verflixt nochmal” is down 3-7, followed by fellow Swiss musician Lo & Leduc and their “079” (6-8), while “My Immortal” by Evanescence (4-9) and “In My Blood” by Shawn Mendes (7-10) make the Top10 complete.

With three new entries in the Top10, there are obviously also three songs which leave that part, and that are “Alone” by Halsey & Co. (8-11), “Delicate” by Taylor Swift (10-13) and “Crash And Burn” by My Indigo (9-14). The latter isn’t doing as well as the previous songs by Sharon den Adel’s solo project. It’s been two weeks, and the concert effect for Evanescence is clearly fading away now. “Imperfection” is the only track which is leaving the Top40, but all others are falling a lot, with “My Heart Is Broken” (12-26), “Lost In Paradise” (13-29) and “Lithium” (15-38). Amy Lee’s solo song “Speak To Me” also falls 11-20, but it gets certified with Gold this week. There are also some good news, especially for David Guetta, Sia, Charlie Puth and Kehlani, as the first two are climbing 16-12 with “Flames”, while the latter two are going up 24-17 with “Done For Me”. Last but not least, with “Sorry” by Halsey (23-23) and “Capital Letters” by Hailee Steinfeld & BloodPop (29-35) there are another two newly Gold certified singles. The latter two earn their very first certification ever.

Charlie Puth’s & Kehlani’s “Done For Me” is the biggest climber while Evanescence’ “Lithium” is the biggest loser this week.

Three new entries made the Top10 on the Singles Charts, and the same amount of new entries also made the Top10 on the Album Charts this week, with the top entry also coming in right at number one. The Weeknd’s surprise release “My Dear Melancholy,” enters the charts at #1, earning him his second number one album following his last effort “Starboy”, which topped the Album Top20 for two weeks in late 2016. It’s his third entry overall, as “Beauty Behind The Madness” peaked at #2 in 2015. Similar to the Singles Top40, Auri are also dipping 1-2 on the album charts with their self-titled album. Closing the Top3 is the second new arrival, which is by Country-Pop singer Kacey Musgraves. The singer just released her third studio album “Golden Hour”, which gives her the very first notation ever.

Nightwish’s “Decades” continues with losing one spot each week as it’s down 3-4 this week. Meanwhile, Faun’s “XV – Best Of” sees a surprising increase as it’s up 10-5, nearly matching its peak position at #4 from six weeks ago. Evanescence still own two entries in the upper half with “Synthesis” (2-6) and “The Open Door” (5-8), with “By The Way, I Forgive You” by Brandi Carlile being between them (4-7). Beatrice Egli’s “Wohlfühlgarantie” drops 6-10. Filling out the Top10 is the mentioned third new entry, which is “Expectations” by Hayley Kiyoko at #9.

Lissie’s “Castles” (8-11), George Ezra’s “Staying At Tamara’s” (7-12) and Lo & Leduc’s “Update 4.0 (9-13) are all leaving the upper half. Apart from that, there’s not much more to mention, apart from Leaves’ Eyes’ small recovery for “Sign Of The Dragonhead” (18-14) and Dami Im’s “I Hear A Song”, which leaves the charts completely after just one week at #12.

Surge…
Makes sense, and I definitely don't want to talk you OUT of trying to be more green/eco-friendly at home!

Awesome! I was expecting an "I haven't touched it much" update on Yellow, so I'm really glad to hear it's kept you hooked (at least to the halfway point) Ha, I guess you've wound up with an Ash team after all (except you actually evolve yours) ;) Lv. 27 - 31 is a little on the lower side (since Erika's Gloom is Lv. 32), but hey - if you're making it through the game just fine without needing to grind as much, that's not a bad thing at all!

Like being drunk without any nausea/headaches/hangover? Damn, that sounds pretty perfect! Hitting up an art museum while you were tripping was BRILLIANT! The absolute perfect time to experience all that art in an intense, brand-new way.

JUST lying next to each other...for HOURS? I find that a little hard to believe... ;)

**Sigh** I love the amazing, convenient access that streaming has given me...but I hate much of the effect that it's had on official charts They've gotten so much slower, and so much harder for so many acts I love.

I'm sure you know the best ways to make it up to him afterwards, though... ;)

There’s no video at all, which is very weird due to two things: First, it’s a big hit over here, and second, all other tracks from “Update 4.0” have a video/audio on YouTube. It just doesn’t make sense!
Seriously? They've uploaded videos for everything from the album BUT the biggest hit? It's like when artists would make their singles/hits "Album Only" on iTunes.

You sure that's not just your bitterness about it getting chosen before "Strangers" talking?

Yup, that's exactly what I wanted, so thanks for compiling that list! No. 9 back to No. 1 is pretty impressive, but still a ways off from that epic No. 25 ---> No. 1 rebound I probably should've known that "Symphony" would be a part of the all-time-records somehow. ;)

                                                    • Possibly your fiercest No. 1 ever? My bf's actually gotten into Drag Race Thailand lately (he was able to find some subbed episodes online), and I watched one with him last night. Those Pit Crew boyz...
                                                    • **Fingers crossed** the "Alone" video will bump it back into the Top 10 on your next chart!
                                                    • Lovin' that Top 20 debut for "High Horse". Has Kacey had enough prior hits here to warrant one of those discography screenshots? I'm giving Kylie's Golden the bulk of my attention right now, but Golden Hour is definitely next in line (especially after seeing it get such positive reception from Akini and bluecherry).
                                                    • REALLY pleased to see "Curious" debut! I'll save most of my thoughts on Expectations for when I respond to your comments over in my thread, but "Curious" was the track that first drew me to Hayley, and remains my clear favorite across the whole album.
                                                    • I was wondering how a No. 29 ---> No. 35 drop could be considered "good news" for "Capital Letters" - but then I saw that glittering Gold cert! YES!

Yet another chart that's got me purring, Tansike!
